I like the blacksmith videos. My grandpa was a blacksmith didn't get to see him working but have always liked to watch one at work. Grandpa past way a mouth before i was born.

Why do some people give thumbs down? What is wrong with them. Secondly, your channel should not have 32k subs but at least 320k. I am mesmerized with the amount of different skills you have. Amazing is an understatement. Thanks for taking the time to upload your work.

These videos are akin to watching a Rolls Royce, or Stradivarius Violin, being created by hand. You are truly a master artisan and craftsman. The hours and years you've put into your craft, which is I'm sure a dying trade are an amazing watch. Something that 100 years ago, was a common vocation, that now is dwindling down to extinction. Having the mindset to create these videos along with your remarkable skills are truly why the internet exists, kudos for having the presence of mind to share your vast skill and abilities. Thank you for posting and allowing anyone to see these amazing skills and projects.

An amazing video, I never realized there were so many parts to a wagon, such outstanding craftsmanship. Now I will have to go back and look at the earlier videos, fantastic to watch a true craftsman at work.

After reading some of the comments from 2 years ago, I see that these people feel the same as I do. That you Mr Dave, are a super great CRAFTSMAN in several areas. As a tool/die machinist my work had to be right or the equipment did not run right. As you have found in rebuilding and repairing the wagons/ buggy’s some things were not built as good as they should have been. After watching you work, anything less than 99.9% perfect gets redone.
I think that your abilities and attention to detail are the reason that you were asked to build the Borax Wagons. That’s why I always push Like before watching, cause I know it’s going to be great. Stay safe, Mr Dave Engles, your friend Gene

Excellent craftsmanship. I hope that there are the some of the Younger Generation that are interested in this old school craftsmanship. Do you offer apprenticeships and have any of the Younger Generation seeking to learn this craftsmanship? So these techniques don’t get forgotten in the future. It would be a great lose to our Society if these special technics are lost to time.
Anyway you are an extremely talented man, that takes a lot of pride in your work. Good luck with all future projects.

Every video you have put out shows the same care to detail and craftsmamship. I am a handyman that cares about details and craftsmanship also. I do not work on wagons just buildings. The care that one puts into the work they do is what keeps a person working. Thank you for the video GOD Bless.

I remember my Dad making the running gear for a wagon where he used the frameof a 30s something Ford car. His rear bolster he hewed and sawed from a big hickory. I find it interesting to watch others do what I had a chance to do. The wagon was built in the 1950s. He would readily convert from a wagon bed to a very large hay rack for hauling loose hay. I enjoy seeing your work. Thank you.

It I great seeing this wagon come to life.
It has made me wonder how long it took to build a wagon back in the day with however many workers that would be in a wagon shop.

Great content, camera work and editing !!!!! Your videos are a wonderful melding of several exceptional talents. We are very lucky to have you sharing all this with us. The bees wax on the threads of a wood screw is a trick I learned from a very senior Swedish carpenter I worked for one summer over 50 years ago. It is a must when driving them into very dense wood like ash, oak, elm, hard maple , hickory and etc.. Thank you SIR.

Not that you should be responsible for such a thing, but wow how you set a step-to-stage phase of history in terms of the development of the path from draft animal drawn vehicles into engine powered ones. I truly wish humanity would see the value of draft animals, your recording of these vehicles, and the possibility that with your knowledge, humanity might find a path back to a more cooperative (appreciative/loving) relationship with non-human entities. Your recordings and work in this area could give a great contribution to a sustainable vision for human life in the future.
