Crossing five lakes on skis

- On a sunny, but cold Saturday morning, we took our skis and went for another micro-adventure. It has been very cold for almost two weeks so the lakes were completely frozen and covered with snow. Our goal was a two-day trek, crossing five different lakes and sleep in a lean-to on the fourth lake. We only had two backpacks, two sleeping bags, some food, but no tent and no stove.
We learned skiing by just doing it, so our technique might be horrible. Any feedback and tips are very welcome :)
Names of the lakes:
1. Lensjön
2. Uspen
3. Vibosjön
4. Ömmern
5. Torskabotten
We are Zoë and Olivier, together we are WeLeaf. We are traveling around the world on human power since September 2016. We left Amsterdam by bicycle, hitchhiked across the Atlantic Ocean, cycled the Americas, north and south, hiked on the AT, did the complete Northern Forest Canoe Trail, and skied for two months in the Quebec winter. can you use same boots for summer skating and winter nordic skis? ie same/compatible bindings?
Hi! If the bindings on the skis and skates are the same, you can. We have NNN bindings on our roller skis and our backcountry nordic skis so we can use the same boots. But, our roller ski boots are summer boots and they are kind of 'open', so they would be too cold for winter :)

Thanks :). Yes, the lean-to was a true luxury! Apparently, the island is owned by a boy scout group and they have built the lean-to. Perfect location!
@@WeLeaf It would be hard to leave for me...what a peaceful Norwegian place. I'd go on the lake and practice my skate skiing, back to the lean - to for tea, then back to the skating some more. Having your one & only with you, what else do you need?

Thanks Alex!! We are just two normal people with, occasionally, crazy ideas. In 2016 we started our world trip by bicycle, but we aren't professional or athletes. We are still working on the business model part of our world trip :p
