Another very helpful lesson Mr. Coxon. I really appreciate the simplicity of seeing letters or shapes while duplicating a subject and that wonderful grid. Hi Lindsay, Thank you for your excellent comment. It's very helpful to me. The human figure is so subtle and complex that we have to find ways to simplify it. Using letters of the alphabet and many other ways of simplifying the form and shape of not just the figure but all subject matter (a tree, a horse etc.) is a way to "get our heads around" the subject. That's what I'm getting at with my Basic Shapes series. Bye for now. Keep working!
