My major is also in Business, however, I chose to specialize in Marketing. And this is my last year in university, however, I can tell you that it was definitely not worth it. Most of the subjects they teach in university are already outdated. You can find more and better valued information on the internet. If I would have to choose all over again, I would probably stay out of college and would go to get the real world experience.

Unless you’re going to get a degree in STEM or be a teacher or a lawyer, you really don’t need a college degree. Trade certificates are just as lucrative or I’d say even more lucrative. As one famous career advisor once said, “Bachelor’s is the most overrated product in America.” Work experience can substitute for a college degree in certain fields. Military is an excellent option. In the military, they can train you to learn a technical job.

I wish I watched all these videos while I was still in high school so I could care more about my future. I always thought I knew what I wanted to do, but I just spent my life living in the moment, so I never really planned for my future. I just knew that I was going to college. I was going to go for Accounting because I loved math, but I took one college accounting class and said no. Then I decided that Business Management would probably be the best bet for me because I took some business classes in high school and enjoyed them. My parents also own a small grocery shop, so I thought I could apply what I learn to the store to improve it. I eventually did change my major to Management and HR. I went to a community college and then transferred to the closest and cheapest university. I have no college debt, a depressed soul, a degree in Management and Human Resources, and a future that is unclear. I do appreciate the no debt, but I just wished I went to a more competitive university so I would actually care. I did study hard and graduate with 3.96 GPA, but I know I could have done better in the aspects of not just studying but doing other things to support my future. So, I want you to know that you're an inspiration. You make me want to do more with my life!

4:38 Well in India, at 10th grade you have to select a group, either science or commerce, and you basically have to live that decision for the rest of your life. If you pick the commerce group, you can’t switch to the science group mid-way or vice versa. It kinda limits the students, and basically traps them with 0 opportunities, if they find out that commerce or science isn’t their thing. It’s kinda sad :/
the good news is that now you can!! no matter what subject you have studied after grade 10 you can apply for a college degree in other subject mostly through entrance exams. i had studied non med in my senior year but now im going for a business major in college, so don't limit your options and step out of your comfort zone (:

My previous roommate was an Architecture major before changing to Civil Engineering and adding an Urban Planning and Development for a minor. She said Architecture jobs are hard to get, whereas Civil Engineers can do almost anything that Architecture does and more. Have your considered either Civil Engineering or another engineering field?
I like how in each of your videos we see you doing your daily stuff (going to class etc). So it's like each video is a day in the life video. =)

I remember watching Gary V say that majoring in business is a stupid idea and college cant teach you how to function business just a thought tho, I never said that, I just heard Gary Vaynerchuck say that and I kinda agreed
because Gary v is stupid and nothing else. Business is so damn good and amazing major! It's high paying, wide, interesting, it gives real life skills and so on!

I totally agree with looking at fields related tonyour interests! I started as a poli sci major but upon doing career research, my interests changed to economics! Coming out of high school I definitely did not think I would end up in an econ program with a psych minor but I love it and it's a great combo for me!
I'm currently a sophomore majoring in Political Science, and have a minor in Psychology. I aspire to become an attorney, a businesswoman, and maybe try my hands at running for political office or become at least a judge, depending on my life trajectories. As a Political Science student, I had to take both Macro- and Microeconomics, which were very tough. More power to you girl! Keep kicking ass babe! lmaol
