When you are in the paint booth all I can think of is the thick coatings of red dust and dirt that will soon be attacking that beautiful finish. I’m afraid if it was my racer it would have to be on a rotating, lazy Susan, mirrored platform in my living room with burgundy velvet show ropes on polished brass scansions surrounding it as I sipped single malt Scotch as I stared and stared at it. 😊
59 A flathead fords have rods that bolt to the block in the in the rear on each side that limit the forward and back movement when you mash the clutch. They run forward and bolt to the front cross member next to the front engine mounts. If you look on your engine you will see the holes. I think they are about 5/8 inch diameter.

They have some for the front axles as well Lovejoy shocks lever-arm hydraulic dampers are mainly Houdaille and Delco that's what they used in the twenties and thirties. This car looks sweet and I mean sweet, you've done a fantastic job on this racer, congrats. If you have trouble with it over heating if there's room behind the radiator put a small fan behind the rad to suck air through the rad put a overflow tank on it. What an incredible talent. Is there anything you can't do. Just a perfect piece of workmanship. Your an inspiration to this 76 year old. Going to start my next build this afternoon. Thanks Phil Stevens 👍
@@bennettscustomsco I just finished a 46 Ford pickup with a 460, crown vic front end, triangulated four link. Next is a 23 Dodge Bros. Touring car, it's just a basket case at the moment but will become a street rod.
I watch this build from start to finish. Awesome job on the car and bike. You are a craftsman with attention to detail. Looking forward to seeing them in action.
Absolutely Beautiful piece of rolling art. Best part my opinion, when all six exhaust tubes are singing, it’s her heartbeat. Kept mine separate also. This is close as a guy could get to creating life. Congratulations.
Wowie McZowie! This build has been epic and compelling, and inspiring! Thank you for taking us along for the ride. Some of the best "car build" content on UA-cam. Cannot wait to see what's next! Go Bennetts Customs! Keep moving forward!
Great effort Jordan I have been watching your build for a good time now . It was great to meet you and have the opportunity to help you in a small way to fill your fuel tank . You can see the time and workmanship that has gone into the build . Can't wait until the next episode. Congratulations again 👏👏👏👏👏
The Midnight Special and the bike are beautiful pieces of mechanical art. Fabulous. I’d rather given up on seeing you finish the race car in time to be honest, I’m sure that you understood your priorities though. The event video is greatly looked forward to.
I was just thrilled seeing it done and loved the pipes,,very happy for you,,wish I had the tools and time ...(and money)to get back to work on my ratTrod mower project, still barely a rolling chasis,,lots of parts and idea's,lol, congrats
Very beautiful job there guys. Congratulations on all ur hard work paying off. Can't wait to see more videos soon my friends. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab On. Weld On. Keep making. God Bless.

@@bennettscustomsco you are young buddy, you will bounce back🙂 I stopped working 120hr weeks in 2013. I did it for 10yrs straight. Took 2yrs to get over it, and yes it was hard. I ran myself into the ground. Now at almost 59 I work 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Sometimes working a Saturday for myself. You know w/shop improvements, or car maintenance.😉👍👍 You did it once Jordan, now decide never to leave yourself short of time to have a life🙂 The work will always be there for those who are creative, trust me on that one🙂 I take my hat off to you. ( old time sign of respect Sincerly meant).
Jordan- for the drill pattern sanding - Just make up a simple pivoting arm to hold a die grinder that you can put the sanding/ grinding pad on the die grinder and then press down manually on the arm to make the circular sanding marks,. you can make a spring loaded stop - Bit like one end of a long sea saw (teeter totter) .
The Special looks great and for something that was finished in the nick of time it wasnt a bad effort to only have a few issues to deal with before you hit the road. Will look forward to seeing it in action in the next video. Cheers Greg
Dayuum! The car is exceptional! The hand lettering puts it over the top IMO
He’s a talented man!
Great work cobba she looks bloody amazing
