- Title says it all. Tekken 8 OST makes for an amazing racing experience, the soundtrack is that good and the game is a love letter to Tekken fans. So why not use this amazing soundtrack for this racing game called Distance, because that's my excuse for UA-cam content lol.

It's called Distance by the way. It's a very unique racing game, where you're not racing other cars, but instead the stage and time limit. Very unique, in that it incorporates more than just breakneck driving as its core gameplay, you'll see what I mean if you play it. It does some interesting genre melding in a few stages.

@@aphy460 There are racing games that are like that, though. I just can't recall any concrete names off the top of my head, but I know they're out there.
People forget Namco made Ridge Racer one of the most iconic racing IPs. It makes perfect sense their sound would simply work for racing games.
Heck, a LOT of the composers from that franchise did work in Tekken.

More racing games should have music like this, feels like a forgoten era of extrene digital high BPM in racing games.
Psytrance is mostly a given for AG racers or racing games set in the future. But Tekken's more epic tracks honestly fit any high stakes race.

Marius, I would like to thank you for showing us such great music, combined with truly spectacular games and gameplay, Split/Second, Redout, the Spark Saga and now Distance were games I never bothered to look at until you showed me what they offered, and for that I am truly grateful. If I could recommend a game that fits the genres of these games, I would highly recommend Thumper, It is basically Redout if it was a rythm game and if the anxiety factor from Split/Second's power plays were added into the mix aswell.

That's what Ridge Racer was made for, the soundtrack for each game was also composed by musicians from the Tekken series and goes extremely hard too

I've been listening to Fallen Destiny (at that time I refferred to it as "Pave Your Way") as soon as I saw the Tekken 8 trailer myself. It's a banger.

What most ppl dont know is that, 'my last stand' includes the final boss theme of heat haze from tekken 7

hmm yes this is the kind of music i feel like listening to when my father throws me off of a cliff at 6 years old because i was the devil so i decide to enter a tournament hosted by him to throw him off of a new cliff only for him to be still alive so i decide to reenter the second tournament hosted by him only to get thrown into a volcano yet i still survive so i come back and beat him up and then i wake up in a dojo after being beat up by my son who suddenly turns into the devil and find myself swarmed by a bunch of robots so i beat them up with my father and then betray him so that he explodes in the dojo only for him to not die and then i beat him again but i come back realizing that he hosted another tournament so i beat him again and threw him into a volcano

Well it's officially called Storm Rising.
Tekken is the fighting where I always make sure to turn the tv volume up or put headphones on in the highest volume. The songs are straight bangers.
Gotta love how the music fits SO WELL like the more intense it gets the faster you go 🤯

I think my favorite track from this is tied between Into The Stratosphere 1st and Fallen Destiny 1st; They really sell the intensity of the tracks and hazards on display here.

Also, I gotta say, every time you post gameplay of racing games it gives me such a burning itch to play one again. They used to make up 50% of what I played when I was growing up, but that passion fell off pretty hard over time. You really remind me how unequivocally cathartic it is to drive ludicrously fast while adrenaline-pumping music blasts in your ears.

Tekken 8's OST is epic, phenomenal and much like the rest of the series can easily bring it's energetic hype into other games simply by playing the OST over your other games.
We've all done it at some point and it feels phenomenal to do

Distance! i loved this game! Wish more people had the same interest in it. Also soundtrack of the game is absolutely what makes it complete as a specimen of futuristic racing genre. And i like it more than OST's in the video IMHO.
If you hadn't told me this is all from the Tekken soundtrack I would've thought the first track was just some new addition to the Distance soundtrack. It sounds exactly like the rest of the soundtrack! (great game btw, glad you're giving it some attention)

I haven't even played Tekken for years! And I should really get back to it! Well, the only one I've played was Tekken Tag Tournament on the PS2. It was also when I first heard of Tekken. But, that was years ago. And man! Tekken music SLAPS SO HARD!!!

I love Distance and definitely think it deserves more attention - so it's awesome to see someone showing it off! I like the Distance soundtrack, but Tekken 8's fits amazingly well. I honestly forget it wasn't vanilla midway into the first race demonstration lol.
havent played distance in like 8 years, think i might play it again after grinding some more tekken 8. i still have the original iteration (student project called nitronic rush) on my hard drive somewhere.

This video is a reminder that I need to play Distance asap. I loved playing Nitronic Rush back in the day, so I was pumped when the devs announced a spiritual sequel, which somehow flew off my radar.
I put Moonsiders 1st (Infinite Azure’s theme) to that race in Ready Player One and it went so well
I gotta say it felt like a discovery when i played need for speed unbound with tekken 7 ost.

the tracks fits the cyberpunky atmosphere of the game mixing epic music with techno trance is kinda rare and insane

Into the Stratosphere and Fallen Destiny are straight-up bangers, and they totally fit the setting of the racing gameplay.

I can see this kind of music being in games like Split Second, Need for Speed The Run or Ridge Racer Unbounded with tons of action alongside the race
Bandai Namco games have some bomb ass tracks, Tekken and also their in house racing game Maximum Tune etc all have great OSTs
