The student loans are so relatable! That is why I started reselling and have also been able to get ahead on that headache in my life. I felt that so much! Proud of you for being able to pay it off sooner. The relief from that is indescribable. Yay you!! 👏🏻
lol it has like one like …come on. I felt that !! 😢😅that’s why so many of my items go straight to the Buy sell trade stores. I don’t know what I would do without it , pays so much of my bills. 🎉🎉❤
the fact that you're paying like 4x your monthly bill on your loan is so huge!! good for you!! if I did that I would owe $1,600 a month 😭😭 masters degree probz
What a great way to pay off your student loans! You’re already at the bins and they are loaded up with items that these stores like so picking them up is a win-win. Also good to use them when the items in your closet aren’t selling as expected. I’ve tried that a few times but they only take a few pieces at a time. Will keep trying though.
I went to a yard sale last year. The lady said she ironed her clothes before she put them at the yard sale. She had nice clothes. Got Free People linen pants and Valentino shoes from her.
Some people have the time to do that. My aunt went to a sale that had baby stuff and stacks were tied up with pretty ribbons. Fun to find sales like that.
I had one of those Samuel Dong pieces that I found whne someone put out their leftovers from their yard sale for FREE . It's the only time I've ever found it and it sold in like 10 minutes on poshmark for over $100. If they don't take it maybe try to sell that one yourself.
All of my reselling profits go straight to my student loans - and they will be paid off next month! So exciting that reselling is helping bring down those loan balances too!
Marccain is a German label. Very high retail price and a strong following here in Germany. Always sells well for me. I have no idea to what extent they export.
I’m always surprised to see what my consignment store does or does not take. My consignment store eats up Vera Bradley bags, but will leave the expensive designer stuff. 😂
He's an accountant, so it makes sense to do till the amount owed doesn't cost much in monthly interest. That's usually my goal with c.c, and car payments, but once I get it lowI still keep doing the higher payments to see it paid off.
My Clothes Mentor is definitely super picky! I get more for my items but the stuff they don’t take always baffles me. They really only take more “mature” items at mine as well. They wouldn’t take Altared State or anything millennial styling.
Hi Jack, consignment. Would love to do it. Looks like you just took cash for your things? Do they offer trade too? I know one you tuber traded in some, took some cash but in her trade she bought a pearl magnolia dress! (wow) and of course it sold very high for her in her online store. I used to consign a few things long ago, but actual "consignment" did not work out for me. the owners both were single owner shops and lets just say there was theft. One went completely out of biz with out returning items or giving out any $. The other "lost" inventory and shrugged. I would love to just walk in like you did and unload some things for cashola but I'm not confident in what to take in LOL. I just went through online looking for consignment places near me and I found 2 children's places, and one adult possibly. One interesting one that is an art place where you can take art classes but also SELL your ART too. I was excited about that as I do upcycle a few clothing items and other things. BUT they moved, and its much farther away so...boo - their name is cool: Dazed & Reused Art (hehe). Thanks for sharing. One day I will dip my toe in...hopefully warm water! Congrats on paying down the student loan debt. My ex and I went thru college together with 2 kids. Both graduated. We had to pay for about 6 to 7 years to pay it all off too.
Ok, what does it mean when people say something is "junior" style? I never understood that reference. Personally, I think that Blu Pepper dress was super cute and on-season! Also, I like this concept of discussing what they didn't take.
I'm not sure as I've never personally been to a Clothes Mentor, but I think they are geared more towards women 30+, and that piece looked more teen-early 20's.
So, I’m not sure if you are asking about Juniors in general, but it has different sizing: 5, 7, 9 as opposed to Womens 6, 8, 10. It is also cut a little differently.
You should definitely make this type of video a regular! My favorite type of video

What do you do with the times that arent taken either place? Do you keep taking them back? Do you wait for a different season?
You’re a smart guy Jack, great to pay off those loans!
Agree! 😊

Love this concept video! What brand of sunglasses are you wearing?
I sold same Pilcro pants for $39 in Poshmark but back in November
Student loans. Blech. I went to college 20 years ago and finally paid them off in 2018. Keep up the good work!

Great on getting your student loans payed off !
By making accelerated payments on your debt, you're saving heaps on interest as well. Smart cookie!

Could I please buy the JJill velvet burgundy dress from you?
So which consignment store pays more?
Percentage-wise Turnstyle but you have to hope your items sell full price or sell at all :/
That’s awesome that you got those loans down to 7 yrs….

What was your degree? And do you regret going to college? I'm hesitant on going back to school for the cost.
I believe he said in a video that he has a degree in accounting.
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Way to go on chipping away at that student loan so quickly, Jack!

@pr9177 Oh, I see! So like, less curvy maybe?
