    That's fine if you have 2 good knees 😊 otherwise you need a hand because your knee does not fully bend under to brace you on the way up. 😊

      I am in a similar position. 2 surgeries reconstructing my ACL,PCL and MCL. Kneeling doesn’t work on my left knee anymore

      As example, body weight deck squats are a real-world getup, they can be started from a prone position into a roll, no knee on ground.
      There must be others, training any getup version/s, hands assist or no, sounds alright if that works, maybe there is a variation you could do 😊

    I just found out that you’re originally from rural Ohio and went to Ohio State
