I noticed that too, 2nd gear is good until 70 mph and you don't hit peak hp until after 5000 rpm. I think we're being played on this video because my 5.0 brakes traction from 2nd to 3rd pretty easily and I'm bone stock.
Please don't continue to use E85 on stock tunes. The mustang limit is E15 at best. In this case, your engines didnt completely die mostly because you both probably had a bit of regular pump left in the tank, effectively lowering the Ethanol rating. There may be a slight power increase, but your mustangs won't pull timing correctly since the stock tune won't make use of anything past 15% ethanol.
Both nice cars whether ecoboost or gt or manual or automatic, each to their own, the ecoboost handles better so great for twisty roads due to lighter front end but gt has alot more power and sounds amazing with the v8, if i stayed in america id choose the v8 in grabber lime with 6 speed manual but here in scotland i have a 2017 ecoboost manual and its plenty quick enough for the narrow scottish roads plus the price of fuel is £1.26 per litre for 99 octane fuel or £1.20 for 95 premium fuel, 🏴👍

I had a rental car ecoboost 10 speed while my 2015 GT was getting a new motor and it impressed me. It’s definitely a really fun car lol but I can 100% say my GT would gap it stock for stock. I did some 0-60 testing and best I did was 5.4 seconds on 91 octane and 6.5 with cheap 87 gas. But my GT (without spinning) does a 4.6 and spinning a 5.1 so it’s close but no match for the 5.0s top end. Because after 3rd gear, it felt like the eco boost fell on its face. But it does chirp the tires going into 2nd and 3rd on drag strip mode. That caught me off guard

Really hope that the Eco was tuned for E. But considering an otherwise stock A10 Eco with just E85 tune would beat a gen 2 6 speed I doubt that it was.
I thought you should change the injectors and get a tune if you wanna use e85? I have an 18gt with CAI, borla catback and throttle body in the way oh and it's a 6spd, I love it even though the automatics are faster. My ultimate goals are intake manifold, headers and hopefully after a custom tune it will be close to 575 to 600hp with e85.
Not necessarily. It depends on when in 2020 the EcoBoost was built. The EcoBoosts that were made in the first few months of 2020 doesn't have the shark fin antenna. It's definitely a 2020 model because of the color as well. It has the rapid red color which is only available for 2020 models.
They were both trying their best, the 2017 GT comes with an older transmission than the 18's and up which makes a huge difference, also the Ecoboost is lighter and doesn't spin, where as the GT gets some wheelspin. Horsepower doesn't matter too much these days.
My 2018 gt 6 speed I bought may of 2021 has Injen CAI and Borla Catback, just waiting for the bbk 85 mm throttle body then I will get it tuned! The borla really opened it up, I was going 134mph at the end of 4th gear and it had plenty of power left.
As long as the gt doesn't have mods and tune. By the time you tune the ecoboost to compete with a stock gt you've spent enough to buy a gt. Not to mention modding and tuning the ecoboost will kill its only advantage, which is better gas mileage.
why not buy a v8 at that point? after those mods you’d maybe have a slightly faster car with a ruined warranty. meanwhile a gt owner throws an exhaust and CAI setup on and is back to edging you. ntm it’d sound a whole lot better and he can take it to ford no problem after.. you can’t :D
Yea honestly you can get gains way cheaper on the ecoboost. I think I read that just a tune can gain you like 50 tq & 20 hp. The problem with the v6 is that you have to literally go FBO, gears & e85 to even match a 5.0 and at that point you should just get a 5.0 unless you're broke like me lmao. Fortunately people have made a few new turbos for the v6 so you can get a full kit for around 3k now. A few years ago your only option was procharger which is like 6k.
The horsepower shows up at the top end of course where horsepower really matters (Eco 310 GT 435), because the two aren't much different in terms of torque (350 Eco and 400 GT). I'd like to know which rear end gears are in each car because that plays a big factor. I have the 3.15 in my Eco and it tends to stay in each gear a little longer and it doesn't spin much even at a hard launch!
I see so many things wrong with this race. Like why are you shifting so slow 🐌 and why are you starting at such a low rpm. 40-50 rolls you should most definitely start in second gear but you probably aren't ready to make that quick shift from 2nd to 3rd. That gt should have been looking at that eco from a distance in the rear view mirror

Gt premiums look better feel better smell better and will last longer, i got a 2020 ecoboost but will try getting a stan wit leather cuz it still smells like the 1997 cobra my dad has

Its about getting the torque at low range, ecoboost does it well. Stop sign to stop signs, 0-40 ish ecoboost beats a GT
