This is an issue across the board, outside of very mainstream pop. I've been to about 150 shows over the course of my short lifetime, but I've completely put the brakes on nearly all concerts the last few years that exceed 250 capacity. Those small shows tend to at least be TicketWeb gigs that I can walk in for about $35 TOTAL. I'm done with the arenas and amphitheaters that want $75 for the lawn or $150 for the upper bowl + outrageous fees + parking. I'm just done. There is no justifying it anymore. I don't care who it is. At this point, I'm perfectly content to sit back and remember what once was.
Good for you. I'm mostly with you. I still get sucked into an expensive show here and there, or I'll pony up multiple hundreds for a festival, but there you're getting tons of acts over multiple days. Just a totally different thing.

Hopefully they do a tour of theaters and maybe even small clubs. Their fanbase in particular would probably be into it.
