The fingertip one is kinda expected. They went too all out with changing concepts. Quite different from what they are doing now. Now, they take it little by little in changing concepts. Fingertip was too far from Navillera, thats why some people didn't like it. Not that I am justifying their hating. I dont. But I get how some people would not like Fingertip. Just look at Red Velvet, changing concepts every comeback made their fans have divided opinion on which songs are better because they had two entirely different concepts and some fans only like one of the two. It's melancholic & dramatic (the bass & violins made it even more dramatic 😍), the chord progression is very interesting & complex, the melody is BEAUTIFUL, the overall song is unpredictable & feels like a journey when you're listening to it. I swear the composer is a genius!! Gfriend did justice to the song too! They delivered the emotions so well & the lines are distributed perfectly. Lastly, as usual, Gfriend's vocals SLAYED 🔥🔥🔥

I loved this comeback! I was not really a fan of their "Parallel-era" so this one brought me back to loving them. Their sound has matured, and as you said, they're still keeping their identity. It's like an upgrade from the first part of their discography! I hope they're gonna keep going up from this, and maybe once in a while do something like "Fingertip".

I absolutely love how they've matured in this comeback. The girls actually participated closely with the song's composer, so this route is the direction the members want to take as a group. And although Sowon looks like she's okey... but if you notice it... she's standing on a bridge while a storm... I cried watching this... And when Umji throw the paperplanes, she want to give message to Eunha in the heaven.. but cant. That's why the paperplanes touch the ground.. When I first saw the MV, I was disappointed because the music video was confusing, I didn't like the song and thought it should have been more of an ochestral rock song. But it has really grown on me. The song is really catchy after you listen to it a few times and the choero is on point as always. So glad they are trying something new and branching out from the old gfriend roots :)

I totally loved it! I'm a huge Gfriend fan but we needed something a little bit fresh or different and I think that this came to fulfill that in an elegant way. Something that I found curious is that there is no dance break in the last 2 videos! but I still love it!
The reason why this song sounds so different from the GFriend sound we’re used to is because the producers of their songs have changed. Before it used to be Iggy and Youngbae that made their old songs for example, Navillera, Fingertip and Rough as you mentioned, but now, it’s 노주환 & 이원종 (I don’t know how their names are romanized). Because GFriend had such a distinctive sound, this change in sound is kind of weird and noticeable but it’s not a bad change. It sounds good anyways.
I know a lot of people thought it was ‘boring’ but I really enjoy the song and the whole album. Flower garden is really good too. I think for people to enjoy the song a little more they have to understand the lyrics and what the videos about

First time I listen this song, i feel confused because of unique song structure. But the more i listen, its actually very good song and addictive. After listening this song many times, it still feels new. The song structure is very interesting. That's why never feel bored when you listen again. Its great. The dramatic also sentimental part gives me goosebumps. The emotion they deliver through this song is really nice. I can feel it. Their vocal is awesome. The harmonization, the high note was good. It has Gfriend vibe but at the same time its different than their usual style. The overall sound production is brilliant & unique. I understand why this song become hit at Korean music chart.
I think this somehow relates to the fingertip and love whisper MVs. The tape that yerin listens to looks like the one from love whisper and like this MV, eunha also plays a major role in fingertip. Maybe they’re a series of events released out of order?

From their debut to Parallel/Rainbow Album their style of music has always been the same. With the Electric Guitar... almost same rhythm and even to the cute, school girl concept. There’s a thread on twitter from user colenixs (or is it coienixs i forgot) about the actual story timeline which expands from glass bead up until tftmn. Short explanation: Eunha died. She committed suicide in the room SinB came into on Yuju’s high note part. The room situation is unsurprisingly similar to.. Fingertip! And it goes on. The thread is pretty wild and makes sense. I love TFTMN so so much. It’s my personal favorite title track along with Rough which is already a god-tier song. Gfriend is maturing musically and still keep their trademark: powerful instrument, touching lyrics, knife-like choreo, and stunning vocal. I’m so happy from this comeback! Speaking about the lyrics... The actual lyrics of TFTMN is pretty depressing despite the whole song sounding happy, powerful, and cute (at some points). I can totally see if it’s related to suicide and depression.

Hiiiii i am from Madagascar, i involve in classical and jazz music. My little cousins hear a lot of kpop and at first i was not so interested cause i don't like so much contemporary pop music. But i heard GFRIEND and for me it's the best kpop group now. THE MUSIC PRODUCER MUSICIANS AND SINGER ARE FANTASTIC.
At the first time i listen to this song, i was with my friends and our thought was like "wait, is this a japanese song?" because from the intro all the way to the chorus is feels like that. And to be honest it was funny that you thought that the song would be taking similar way to Dreamcatcher's stuff because it was exactly what i was thought too when hearing the intro. This song btw, seems like they're growing and become more mature in terms of their music. It's definitely a lot different sound from their past release but still keeping their initial characters. And yeah, Dreamcatcher is coming back too so don't forget to react to their song (and listen to the mini album) because it looks like they will be go really hard once again with their music.
Whoever is picking the songs for their albums is always doing a great job at keeping (at least) me listening till the end of the album. If you've been into k-pop for a long time, storyline MVs have existed way before BTS debuted. T-ARA and BAP are two of many groups in the past who went all out with storyline MVs. Go and watch them, they were very intense and had a lot of meaningful symbolisms in it. So if anything, I think Gfriend and BTS is continuing that tradition done by past groups. So no, I don't think buddies are turning into armies.

alax.exe yes i think gfriend is trying to find their identity in 2017. They should keep this concept. The Gfriend vibe is there but a more mature vibe. For me quirky and mysterious concept fits gfriend the most now.
Yes, 2017 was totally about finding their identity. Source Music wanted them to get out of the school uniforms but didn't know how yet. Glad they let the girls say what kind of concept they wanted this time.
I absolutely love how they've matured in this comeback. The girls actually participated closely with the song's composer, so this route is the direction the members want to take as a group.
Apart from that, storywise they have hinted to watch their previous MVs for the story. Meaning there should be a connecting storyline. So there is a possibility they'll continue!! Thanks for the reaction PD.

And although Sowon looks like she's okey... but if you notice it... she's standing on a bridge while a storm... I cried watching this... And when Umji throw the paperplanes, she want to give message to Eunha in the heaven.. but cant. That's why the paperplanes touch the ground.. Yerin cried because Eunha's dead and she listen to their fav song and drove her into more tears..That's why they can only see Eunha when it's fullmoon...

When I first saw the MV, I was disappointed because the music video was confusing, I didn't like the song and thought it should have been more of an ochestral rock song. But it has really grown on me. The song is really catchy after you listen to it a few times and the choero is on point as always. So glad they are trying something new and branching out from the old gfriend roots :)

I totally loved it! I'm a huge Gfriend fan but we needed something a little bit fresh or different and I think that this came to fulfill that in an elegant way. Something that I found curious is that there is no dance break in the last 2 videos! but I still love it!

The reason why this song sounds so different from the GFriend sound we’re used to is because the producers of their songs have changed. Before it used to be Iggy and Youngbae that made their old songs for example, Navillera, Fingertip and Rough as you mentioned, but now, it’s 노주환 & 이원종 (I don’t know how their names are romanized). Because GFriend had such a distinctive sound, this change in sound is kind of weird and noticeable but it’s not a bad change. It sounds good anyways.
I know a lot of people thought it was ‘boring’ but I really enjoy the song and the whole album. Flower garden is really good too. I think for people to enjoy the song a little more they have to understand the lyrics and what the videos about

First time I listen this song, i feel confused because of unique song structure. But the more i listen,
its actually very good song and addictive. After listening this song many times, it still feels new.
The song structure is very interesting. That's why never feel bored when you listen again. Its great. The dramatic also sentimental part gives me goosebumps. The emotion they deliver through this song is really nice. I can feel it. Their vocal is awesome. The harmonization, the high note was good.
It has Gfriend vibe but at the same time its different than their usual style. The overall sound production is brilliant & unique.
I understand why this song become hit at Korean music chart.

From their debut to Parallel/Rainbow Album their style of music has always been the same. With the Electric Guitar... almost same rhythm and even to the cute, school girl concept. TFTMN will be more of the dreamy, mysterious, sad and still got the pop style to it. :D

Short explanation: Eunha died. She committed suicide in the room SinB came into on Yuju’s high note part. The room situation is unsurprisingly similar to.. Fingertip! And it goes on. The thread is pretty wild and makes sense.
I love TFTMN so so much. It’s my personal favorite title track along with Rough which is already a god-tier song. Gfriend is maturing musically and still keep their trademark: powerful instrument, touching lyrics, knife-like choreo, and stunning vocal. I’m so happy from this comeback!
Speaking about the lyrics... The actual lyrics of TFTMN is pretty depressing despite the whole song sounding happy, powerful, and cute (at some points). I can totally see if it’s related to suicide and depression.

eunha’s dead. and then the mv shows how each members handle eunha’s death. in the mv at the end, they’re basically finding her grave and then, when they shined the light on eunha’s grave it was actually reflected to eunha as we can see, meaning she’s really dead. eunha always shows up at night, hence the title, _time for the moon night_
this is basically a summarized theory of what ive read and understand about time for the moon night mv. hehe
there’s also a theory where they’re actually trying to summon eunha’s spirit. the part in the mv where there’s many lamps explains the theory. that’s why after that scene, we see them now hanging out with eunha(the part where they stick papers in the member’s faces😂)
and lastly, i found this one really interesting...
it explains why/how eunha is really dead in the mv.
coz at the end part of the music video, we see them(their backs) all sitting. then there is this one point that it shows all the members sitting then after that shows eunha.
but eunha’s wearing black shirt with her black hair. if she didn’t even turn her head to us, i think it would be hard for us to notice her.
now bcoz of her black hair and shirt she blends in with the night.
meaning that she blends with the night sky, coz she only shows up in the night. *_her spirit can only show up, in the time of the moon night..._*

Gfriend songs always remind me of Anime OPs. And that's not a bad thing.
At the first time i listen to this song, i was with my friends and our thought was like "wait, is this a japanese song?" because from the intro all the way to the chorus is feels like that. And to be honest it was funny that you thought that the song would be taking similar way to Dreamcatcher's stuff because it was exactly what i was thought too when hearing the intro.
This song btw, seems like they're growing and become more mature in terms of their music. It's definitely a lot different sound from their past release but still keeping their initial characters.
And yeah, Dreamcatcher is coming back too so don't forget to react to their song (and listen to the mini album) because it looks like they will be go really hard once again with their music.

Whoever is picking the songs for their albums is always doing a great job at keeping (at least) me listening till the end of the album. Coming from a music major, this album (and a lot of other kpop albums) has a lot of interesting things, musically, that makes most of western pop music look lik- ok i'll stop right there before someone blows a fuse

Not that there's anything wrong with your statement, but armies did not start the whole storyline concept. If you've been into k-pop for a long time, storyline MVs have existed way before BTS debuted. T-ARA and BAP are two of many groups in the past who went all out with storyline MVs. Go and watch them, they were very intense and had a lot of meaningful symbolisms in it. So if anything, I think Gfriend and BTS is continuing that tradition done by past groups. So no, I don't think buddies are turning into armies.
