- #TheGreatNorEaster was just a suspended looping coaster by #Vekoma however after its 4 million dollar renovation including new trains, “bendable” track, & brakes, this thing rides like it should. With a great view of the #NewJersey shore line as well as #wildwood as a whole , this ride is a set to behold and a staple in #Moreyspiers amusement park. 📸 Height:115ft MPH:55

GNE looks so good it’s intense but so smooth, unlike other SLC’s. Great POV🔥🔥
One of my favorite rides in my top 20 to be honest. 🥃
The Nor'Easter is really the only SLC that has truly been improved upon in every single element for the benefit of the riders.

In 2010 it was a bit rough However Nothing beats the views .

What a great layout. Vekoma has always been good at that
This is my 3rd inverted coaster which I rode last year. The only others I have ridden were the amazing Afterburn at Carowinds and.. Mind Eraser at Six Flags America…yeah. So I knew what a great inverted coaster is and what an absolutely horrible one is as well. And I gotta say, this thing is on par with Afterburn. Not only is this thing as smooth as Afterburn, although it may not look it, it is stupidly intense. The amount of whip you get on this ride is something else. It’s got great lateral and positive forces. For every terrible SLC I’ll ride in the future, I’ll make sure to shit on it as much as I can because I rode a better SLC. I wonder how good Odyssey is at Fantasy Island is…
I have to comment because I went on this ride when it was new, way back in the late-90s. Back then on the initial rise/drop there was no catwalk or any construction on your left or under your feet...just you and the open air. It was terrifying.

my dad rode an almost exact clone of it but it's like mind eraser at sfa but better
it's called fire whip at the same park where a former intamin freefall was there
my dad rode it and he really got beaten up
but they were late on the vest restrains party and i will predict that in 2026 it will get new track

I wish they would build more classic design roller coasters instead of these new ones that all have so many inversions

It was rough the last time I rode it in 2010 or 2015 but I'd be willing to give it another shot if they fixed it up since it is a nice ride and different having the track above you instead of below you.
They did fix it
@@nikotheghostrider Yeah I rode it a couple weeks ago and it is definitely better. Still a bit rough towards the end but overall it's much better than it used to be and the same goes for the other coasters.
They retracked it in 2016 and reopened it in 2017. It's a lot smoother than it used to be. The vest restraints make for no chance of head banging too so it's definitely worth riding.
These rides look like they could be really enjoyable is only they weren't super rough.
