A lovely (albeit disjointed) THOUGHT perhaps, but utter gibberish as applied to Islam. ISLAM IS ALL ABOUT ARROGANCE!!! Which is just one reason we non-Muslims find Islam so very nauseating. The Islamic blind and truly stupid presumption of what constitutes "goodness" that leaves most observers curious as to why Islam has managed to dupe so many. The answer of course, is intimidation and brainwashing.

CaptainCrape Not totally true. Under the Umayyads in the first century after Muhammad's death, my understanding is that the Arab conquerors actually didn't want the locals to convert, because if they were Muslim they couldn't collect the taxes from them. What developed was basically aristrocracy of Arab Muslim elite. This is not to say that the Arab expansion was not a brutal one, like all conquest.

Pew Poll did not just ask, "is killing civilians justified?"; They asked American Muslims, "Suicide bombing/other violence against civilians is justified to defend ISLAM against its enemies?" 8% said often/sometimes that is a troubling number of 264,000 people. American Christians do not hold any belief in blowing themselves up for Christianity. I don't have it in front of me but, Americans were asked a much broader question not specifically religious based. So it is incorrect to compare the two.

ONLY if a child/woman/eldery holds a weapon against you, in act of selfdence offcourse.
The people who call themself islamists as ISIS are nothing less, then people who got tricked by satan. They have no humane thought anymore and gone berserk against everyone who is not with them. The frustation we face in the middle east is sadly unacceptable, but we need understand the true muslims have lost their power, there is no unity so no action will be given so far. And fake muslims will take the credit for what islam is. knowledge is that they are only 0.03% of all the muslims in the world, wisdom is not associating them with islam.

Rather than 3 different Abrahamic faiths. We accept all the prophets, Adam, Noah, Lut, Abraham etc but when it comes to modern day Prophets we want nothing to do with them? Why?

Actually the Quran uses the word "nafs" when forbidding killing of people. The word "nafs" means soul. This includes all humans (regardless of their race, belief or national origin) and includes animals as well. Prophet Muhammad, Salla Allahu Alayhi wa Sallam, is reported to have asked some of his companions to return eggs of a pigeon to their nest after receiving a complaint from the mother pigeon itself. He is quoted of asking: "Who has saddened this pigeon over her beloved little ones".

The Quran is accurately predicting this behavior from people whose religion supposedly asks them to give the other cheek.

+Keei10 The first verse is talking about the battle of khaybar and describing that tribe (who were jews) who had betrayed their alliance with the muslims. The verse is describing the account of events. The second verse is a declaration of war on the tribe of quraysh who also have broken a peace treaty by attacking another tribe (who was an ally to the muslims) at night. The tone is exactly the same as Roosevelt's speech after the attack of Pearl Harbor.

I don't think of any of these things, about Muslims as people, but I want nothing to do with any religion...and I will not be apologetic towards any religion nor defend it against criticism.
I'm not really worried about terrorism, because the likely hood of any random person actually being a suicide bomber and bombing somewhere that I happen to be is absolutely possible, but highly unlikely.....and there's nothing I can do about it happening elsewhere. I'm aware that it happens though, and I do blame the religion and theocratic Islamic states where it was allowed remain unchanged since 800 CE, while other religions reformed to adapt to democracy.
No one deserves to be threatened because of their religion...but abandon any hope of introducing Islamic law in US government. We will NEVER allow religious influence on laws...and I don't care what people accuse me of racism (not a race), religious intolerance (intolerant against any religion pushed on me), "islamophobe" (I don't think it's irrational at all for an atheist to have negative attitudes towards a religion...I just choose not to be an asshole about it unless provoked ).
Also, Islam may be the only "True Faith" to you , and that's fine, but understand that every other religion also thinks the exact same thing about themselves. There is no forced conversion here in the democratic West, ....you're just going to have to let go of not everyone being Muslim. I know it might seem contradictory that other faiths exist that claim the same....but that's just something that goes along with blind faith...

This is great. Very educational. I have no fear of American Muslims. The vast majority are awesome people. Incredible really.
But just like Christians, Jews and Hindus the religion is nonsense. Don't blame people for being forced to follow silly beliefs. It is not their fault. So, even though the bible mention those things, I don't see Christians going around beheading innocent ppl because of their faiths. You show me that if you say it's happening NOW. Can Muslims be a good Americans ? This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia, for 20 years the following is his reply. Theologically - No ,because his allegiance is to Allah, Religiously - No ,because no other religion is accepted by Allah, except Islam Quran 2:56 ) Scripturally - No because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran, Geographically- No because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day. Socially- No because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews .Politically- No because he must submit to Mullahs ( Spiritual leaders ) who teach the annihilation of Israel, and the destruction of America, the great Satan, Domestically - No because he is instructed to marry four women and beat his wife when she disobeys him ( Qur'an 4:34) Interlectually - No because he can not accept the American constitution since it is based on biblical principles and he believes the bible to be corrupt . Philosophically No - because Islam Muhammad, and the Qur'an does not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam can not co- exist ! Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic. Spiritually No because when we declare one nation under God, and not Allah, Therefore, after much study and deliberation, Perehaps we should all be very suspicious of all Muslims in this country ! 8/39 - And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do.
2/191 - Slay them wherever you may catch them and expel them from the place from which they expelled you. The sin of disbelief in God is greater than committing murder. Do not fight them in the vicinity of the Sacred Mosque in Mecca unless they start to fight. Then slay them for it is the recompense that the disbelievers deserve.
5/32 was out of context, quote the whole thing..
Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. And indeed, there came to them Our Messengers with clear proofs, evidences, and signs, even then after that many of them continued to exceed the limits (e.g. by doing oppression unjustly and exceeding beyond the limits set by Allah by committing the major sins) in the land!.
48/29 - Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of (their) prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurat (Torah). But their description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, it then becomes thick, and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allah has promised those among them who believe (i.e. all those who follow Islamic Monotheism, the religion of Prophet Muhammad SAW till the Day of Resurrection) and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward (i.e. Paradise).

this vid clearly demonstrates "cherry picking" - pick what you like from their "holy" books and ignore what they don't like. almost all religions do the same with their "holy" books. and - why do muslims fight other muslims? sunni and shia have been at each other's throats for centuries and will continue to do so as long as they follow their interpretations of these "holy" books - both interpretations can't be correct - but they sure can both be wrong.
