my apologizes to the 200+ comment myself and others left on another users thread THAT NOW HAS BEEN DELETED! There were many inaccurate comments going back and forth with 2 other users that were stating a-lot of negativity against muslims and islam...I tried to respond with facts towards their trolling type of accusations against Islam. Again I apologize for my words and actions if it caused any misconvetouses! We should all be accountable for out words and it did get out of control. I stand by my comments if you read them, because as muslims we should all be accountable when we see lies, and untruths against our religion! JazakAllahKheir!📿🙏📿🙏📿🙏📿🙏📿🙏📿🙏

How do you make a show about being Muslim in America and not mention Malcolm X?
Malcolm X was part of the Nation of Islam which is an American sect and not part of mainstream Islam. Most mainstream Muslims would not recognize the Nation as orthodox Islam.
@@jbirgen Well you’re right he was a member of the Nation of Islam but at the end Malcolm X left that group and joined the Mainstream Islam after he visited Mecca Saudi Arabia and some African Muslim majority countries.
Of course Malcom X will always remembered his civil rights movements in America and around the world wide but this documentary is more focused like the new Muslim immigrants.

The word " ذرة " used in this verse
means atom. Smaller and nigger means that there are particles smaller than atom.The atom contains neutron, electron and proton. There are quarks smaller than electron and proton.
Almighty Allah says:

Those who disbelieve say: The Hour will never come unto us. Say: Nay, by my Lord, but it is coming unto you surely. (He is) the knower of the Unseen. Not an itom's weight, or less than that or greater, escapeth Him in the heavens or in the earth, but it is in a clear Record".
Every particle smaller or bigger are recorded. It means Almighty Allah knows all particles smaller and bigger because He is the creator of every particle.

Allah is the creator of every thing in this universe. Almighty Allah says:
الا يعلم من خلق و هو اللطيف الخبير o
Should He not know what He created? And He is the Subtile,

If yon see meaning of atom in Arabic dictionary you will come to know that atom means ذرة. It is written in all Arabic dictionaries.
You don't know Arabic. Learn and study more. It is better and in your interests to believe in Almighty Allah and worship Him only and believe that prophet Muhammad is His last and final messenger sent before the prophet Jesus ( pbuh).

Ah, the daughter in law thing again. How original.
Anyway, the simple answer is NO. But that obviously was not the answer that the question was intended for. It had other ulterior motives, Let’s embarrass Muslims by bringing up how their Prophet married his daughter-in-law…(Gasp..the horror).
So are Muslims embarrassed? Nope, Muslims are not.
Why? Is there no decency left in this world? (OMG)
Let me explain why:
Zaid ibn Harithah was taken as a captive when he was very young. When Khadija married the Prophet, she gifted Zaid as a slave to the Prophet. The Prophet and Zaid grew very close to each and loved each other a lot. There was so much love between them that when Zaid’s father and uncles finally found Zaid, he refused to go back home with them and preferred to stay with the Prophet. The Prophet then freed him formally and then adopted him as a son. From then on, Zaid was known as Zaid ibn Mohammed (Zaid, son of Mohammed).
Zaynab bint Jahsh was a cousin of the Prophet on his father’s side. She had been married to someone but nothing is known about that. All this happened before the advent of Islam.
Between the time that the Prophet started preaching Islam and until the emigration to Medina, Zaynab’s husband passed away. And she emigrated to Medina with her brother.
After her emigration to Medina, the Prophet proposed that she marry Zaid. But she refused. Simply because she felt that her social status was higher than Zaid, an ex slave. It was precisely because of this, that the Prophet wanted them married because he wanted to stress that standing with God mattered more than societal differences.
Finally, it was when Allah revealed the Ayah of the Quran:
It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error Quran 33:36
that Zaynab agreed to marry Zaid.
However, their marriage was not a happy one. Maybe Zaynab could not get over the fact that she had married “below her”. We may never know for sure. Zayd approached the Prophet many times about this and every time, the Prophet would ask him to make peace with his wife.
By this time, the Prophet had already been informed by God that he was to marry Zaynab. The Prophet was reluctant to do it because according the customs of that time, an adopted son was considered the same as a son by blood. And this act of marriage would cause a major controversy among the Muslims. However, God broke away from that custom when he revealed:
Call them by [the names of] their fathers; it is more just in the sight of Allah . But if you do not know their fathers - then they are [still] your brothers in religion and those entrusted to you. And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred but [only for] what your hearts intended. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. Quran 33:5
After that Zaid became Zaid ibn Harithah (Zaid, Son of Harithah) again. God’s command changed the way how Arabs until then had seen adoption. Under Islam, adoption became a form of guardianship rather than parenthood. The adoptive parents had no rights over their adopted children’s property and vice versa.
Zayd then divorced Zaynab and the Prophet, under God’s direction married her.
Then God revealed the ayah:
And [remember, O Muhammad], when you said to the one on whom Allah bestowed favor and you bestowed favor, "Keep your wife and fear Allah," while you concealed within yourself that which Allah is to disclose. And you feared the people, while Allah has more right that you fear Him. So when Zayd had no longer any need for her, We married her to you in order that there not be upon the believers any discomfort concerning the wives of their adopted sons when they no longer have need of them. And ever is the command of Allah accomplished. Quran 33:37
After that there was nothing more to disagree or comment upon.
Now the orientalists have a narrative which talks about how the Prophet one day was visiting Zaid and saw Zaynab, being immediately smitten by her beauty, etc etc. But there are serious problems with that fantasy:
First, Zaynab was the Prophet’s first cousin. Surely he would have seen her and met her a million times over before she married Zayd. Why would he suddenly be smitten by her beauty?
Second, if he was smitten by her beauty from before then why cajole her into marrying Zayd? Why not marry her himself?
Third, if the Prophet was smitten by her beauty then why the reluctance to marry her? Why did he regularly tell Zayd to go back to his wife and make peace with her.
All these are mere stories and fantasies constructed to create confusion and doubts.
In the end, Allah knows best. I hope this helps.

Thanks Pew for making this short doc, very informative. The young woman named Yasmin is totally relatable and reminds me of many of my friends. Thanks to Yasmin and all of their interviewees who took the time to share their story.
But Yasmin is not representative of Muslims nationally, and ESPECIALLY globally. Muslims in general are very practicing of their faith---even the 'non-practicing, cultural Muslims' will be significantly more influenced by Islam and would practice Islam at much higher rates than general Western populace.
Yasmin seems more like an Agnostic person that still carries her 'Muslim' title bc it's cultural and is kinda exotic lol..Yasmin is like most Jews and Christians in Western world---that is, agnostic but still having a title of Jew, Christian, and Muslim (in her case).

Paying tax is a part of being citizen and being protected like nowadays in many European countries and even in America. If you don't pay tax you will be in jail of kicked our of the country. This is a quick response to those who say Islam demands taxes from non-Muslims who live under their rule.

My religion teaches me to support the Government that works for people, progress, prosperity, and peace. The U.S. Constitution guarantees Freedom of religion. It's a Democratic country, and my ISLAM matches with the Countries VALUES.
Sadly Muslim countries do not afford non-Muslims the same rights that the U.S. affords Muslims.

Along with Judaism and Christianity it traces its roots through Prophet Abraham and back to the first humans Adam and Eve.
*4)* *There are five pillars of practice in Islam.* These practices must be undertaken with the best of effort in order to be considered a true Muslim: A) Declaration of faith: A statement proclaiming the belief in One God and that Muhammad is a prophet of God. To become Muslim a person simply recites this statement publicly, and in Arabic. B) Formal prayer five times a day. C) Poor-due tax: 2.5% of one’s excess wealth given to the needy once a year. D) Fasting during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan. E) Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once, if physically and financially able.
*5)* *There are six articles of faith in Islam.* These are the basic beliefs that one must have in order to be considered a true Muslim. They are belief in: A) the One God. B) all of the true prophets of God. C) the original scriptures revealed to Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad. D) the angels. E) the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter. F) destiny.
*6)* *Muslims believe in the one Creator of the Universe, referring to Him as “Allah”* which is the Arabic word for “God”. Muslims worldwide, even English-speaking Muslims, frequently use the Arabic word “Allah” because Arabic is the language of the Qur’an. But Allah is no different than the God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus. The Creator is the Creator regardless of what people call Him. In the English language He is most commonly referred to as “God”. Yet Jesus spoke a different language, referring to God as “Eloi” in Mark 15:34 of the New Testament. Are “God” and “Eloi” different gods? Many Hispanics call God “Dios” and many French say “Dieu”. It would logically follow then that people who refer to God as “Allah” in the Arabic language are referring to the very same God. In fact, many Arab Jews and Arab Christians call God “Allah”. And the word “Allah” is written in Arabic script on the walls of many Arab churches and on the pages of Arabic Bibles. So while the understanding of God may differ between faith groups, the various names used to describe Him does not change the fact that the one Creator of the Universe is the God of all people.
This is *Allah* Almighty, The Creator, the one and only true God. He is my God, our God:
*"Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi (Throne) extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great."*

Allah Almighty says in the Quran:
*"Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."*

*7)* *The Islamic concept of God* is that He is loving, merciful and compassionate. Islam also teaches that He is all-knowing and the perfect judge of affairs, and will punish (or forgive) accordingly. However, Allah once said to Muhammad, “My mercy prevails over my wrath”. So Islam teaches a balance between fear and hope, protecting one from both complacency and despair.
*8)* *Muslims believe that God has revealed 99 of His names, or attributes, in the Qur’an.* It is through these names that one can come to know the Creator. A few of these names are the All-Merciful, the All-Knower, the Protector, the Provider, the Near, the First, the Last, the Hidden and the Source of All Peace.
*9)* *The Christian concept of “vicarious atonement” (the idea that Jesus died for the sins of humanity) is alien to the Islamic concept of personal responsibility.* Islam teaches that on the Day of Judgment every person will be resurrected and will be accountable to God for their every word and deed. Consequently, a practicing Muslim is always striving to be righteous while hoping and praying for God’s acceptance and grace.
*10)* *Muslims believe in all of the true prophets* that preceded Muhammad, from Adam to Jesus. Muslims believe they brought the same message of voluntarily surrendering to God’s will (islam, in a generic sense) to different peoples at different times. Muslims also believe they were “muslims” (again, in a generic sense) since they followed God’s true guidance and surrendered their will to Him.
*11)* *Muslims neither worship Muhammad nor pray through him.* Muslims worship the Unseen, Omniscient Creator, Allah.
*12)* *Muslims accept the original unaltered Torah (as revealed to Moses) and the original unaltered Bible (as revealed to Jesus)* since they were revealed by God. But none of these scriptures exist today in their original form or in their entirety. Therefore, Muslims follow the subsequent, final and preserved revelation of God, the Qur’an.
*13)* *The Qur’an was not authored by Muhammad.* It was authored by God, revealed to Muhammad (through angel Gabriel) and written into physical form by his companions.
*14)* *The original Arabic text of the Qur’an contains no flaws or contradictions* and has not been altered since its revelation.
*15)* *Actual 7th century Qur’ans, complete and intact,* are on display in museums in Turkey and other places around the world.

If one is truly sincere and complies with the teachings of Islam in all his life, he will find himself a new born person.

Islam is not interpretable. Sadly people trying to interpret with their own political agendas which is what leads deviations and what leads to negative stereotypes about muslims.
While it's true some are less religious than others. Islam is different to other religions like Christianity because it is not interpretable. Different Christians will tell you the bible means different things.

Knowledge of the Creator of the Universe
"The highest of knowledge is knowledge of the Almighty.
He exists, and this universe is proof of this.
There is no other God besides Him. We are said of Him, which speaks of His greatness, and not of the presence of an accomplice. No one helps Him to create, He is the only Creator of all events in the Universe.
He does not have any need for anyone or something.
He has no beginning of existence, and everything that exists, except Him, has a beginning. Anyone with a beginning is created, and one who is created cannot be a beginningless Creator. Therefore,
God is not born, has no mother and father. And did not give birth, does not have a daughter and a son. We are His creations, and not children, neither His family nor his gender are inherent. He is spoken of Him, because the word "God" is masculine.
He has unsurpassed attributes that no one has except Him. He is Alive without a soul, Almighty without muscles, Omniscient without heart and head, Almighty
without ears, Almighty without eyes. His Speech without mouth, voice, letters and sound. All His attributes are beginningless, incomparable, impeccable, unchanging and endless, they will never disappear.
He is the One who changes everything, but nothing changes Him. As He was forever without beginning, so will be forever without end with all His names and attributes. Time does not affect the Creator of time.
There is nothing like Him. He is the Lord of every part of the Universe, and Himself is not a part of it and does not consist of any parts. Doesn't possess a tangible body like the people created by Him, and does not have an intangible body like the Angels created by Him. It is not inherent in length, width, height. Six directions do not surround Him, as they surround bodies. These six directions: top, bottom, front, rear, right, left. The Creator of all places is not in any place or in all places. He exists now without a place, as He was without a place before He created the place. All that you can imagine with your mind - the Creator is not like these images. The greatest that a person can achieve in knowledge of the All-Knowing is that He exists without an image and without a place.
Nothing in the universe happens without His eternal Will. What you want will not be if He did not want it. And what He wants will be, even if you did not want it. There is no preservation and no power, except from God.
Since He knows the future with all its details, therefore, there is an unchangeable predestination, while there is no compulsion on you. Know that this question is a mystery from the secrets of the Creator, which is incomprehensible to the limited human mind. This inaccessibility is seen as an ocean of unattainable depth, and the deeper you swim, the greater the danger. Humility and security on the surface, not on the bottom.
Say: "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah," and keep faith until the end of your days, no matter what difficulties befall you.
Peace be upon you, the mercy of the Most High and His blessings.

آنحضرت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پیشگوئی فرمائی تھی کہ :
" عنقریب قومیں تم پر ٹوٹ پڑیں گی جس طرح بھوکے کھانے پر ٹوٹ پڑتے ہیں ۔ صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم نے سوال کیا کیا ہماری تعداد اس وقت کم ہوگی ؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا
" نہیں تمہاری تعداد زیادہ ہوگی لیکن تمہاری حالت سیلاب مین پانی کی سطح پر بہنے والےجھاگ کی طرح ہوگی جو کمزور ہوتی ہے اور اس کی کوئی طاقت نہیں ہوتی ۔
آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مسلمانوں کی کمزوری کی وجہ بھی بتادی کہ اس وقت
تمہارے تعداد زیادہ ہوگی لیکن ان کے اندر دنیا کی محبت گھر کر جائے گی اور موت کا خوف پیدا جائے گا ، مسلممان ڈرپوک اور
بزدل ہوجائین گے ۔
یعنی امہ مسلمہ کا زوال اخلاقی ہوگا ۔ مرور زمانہ کے ساتھ امہ مسلمہ کے اخلاق میں غیر معمولی گراوٹ پیدا ہوجائے گی ۔ آج ہم اس کا مشاہدہ اپنی کھلی آنکھوں سے کر رہے ہیں ۔
مسلمانوں کا عام احساس یہ ہے کہ ان کی اخلاقی حالت اب بھی دنیا کی دوسری قوموں کے مقابلے میں مجموعی طور پر بہتر ہے ۔ ایسا احساس خلاف حقیقت بھی نہیں ، لیکن اس سے بھی بڑی اور ناقابل انکار حقیقت یہ ہے کہ دوسری قوموں کے مقابلے میں ہمارا اخلاقی زوال زیادہ بڑا اور نہایت افسوسناک ہے ۔ اس کی وجہ یہ ہے کہ ہم اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے ماننے والے ہیں ۔ ہم جن احکام الہی اور حلال و حرام سے واقف ہیں ، دوسری قومیں ان کو نہیں جانتی ہیں ۔ ہمارے پاس زندگی کا مکمل ضابطہ اورنظام حیات ہے لیکن ہم نے قرآنی احکام اور تعلیمات کو پس پشت ڈال دیا ہے ۔ ہمارے اوپر قرآن کا یہ قول صادق آتا ہے :
يا رب إن قومى هذا اتخذوا القرآن مهجورا
اے میرے رب ! میری اس قوم نے قرآن کو چھوڑ رکھا ہے ( پس پشت ڈال رکھا ہے) ۔
اخلاقی صورت حال کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ امہ مسلمہ کی موجودہ دور میں تہذیبی ، ثقافتی اور تمدنی صورت حال ۔ اسلام دین اللہ ہے ۔ اسلامی تہذیب اسی اساس پر قائم یے اور اسلامی ثقافت اسی سرچشمہ سے پھوٹ کر نکلی اور برگ و بار لائی ہے ، مسلمانون کا معاشرتی نطام اسی پر قائم ہونا چاہیے ۔
در حقیقت امہ مسلمہ کی کامیابی اس دین کے مطابق زندگی گزارنے میں ہے لیکن کیا امہ مسلمہ کی زندگی ان تینوں پہلووں سے اس پر استوار ہے ؟
اسلام کا سارا اخلاقی نظام جو اس کے تہذیبی ، ثقافتی اور تمدنی نظام سے عبارت ہے شکست و ریخت دوچار ہے ۔ ان کی اخلاقی حالت ہر اعتبار سے سخت زبوں حالی کا شکار ہے ۔
وہ زمانے میں معزز تھے مسلمان ہوکر
اور ہم خوار ہوئے تارک قرآن ہو کر

JESUS IN THE HOLY QUR'AN
JESUS NEVER CLAIMED THAT HE IS GOD.
We Muslim believe in Jesus (pbuh) that he is a mightiest prophet of Almighty Allah sent before last prophet MOHAMMAD (PBUH).
Prophet Jesus is described in the Holy Qur'an in detail. Qur'an described his birth as follows:
And make mention of Mary in the Scripture, when she had withdrawn from her people to a chamber looking Ear.
And had choosen seclusion from them.Then We sent unto her Our Sprit and it assumed for her the the likenessof a perfect man.
She said : Lo! I seek refuge in the
Beneficent One from there, if thou art Godfearing.
He said: I am only a messenger of they Lord, that I may bestow on the a faultless son.
She said: How can I have a son when no mortal hath touched me, neither have I have been unchaste?
He said: So (it will be). They Lord sait: It is easy for me. And (it will be) that We may make of him a revelation for mankind and a mercy from Us, and it is a thing ordained.
And she conceived him , and she withdrew with him to a far place.
And then pangs of childbirth drove her unto the trunk of a palm tree. She said: Oh, would that I had died ere this and had become a thing of naught, forgotten.
The (one) cried unto her from below her, saying : Grieve not! They Lord hath placed a rivulet beneath there.
And shake the trunk of the palm tree toward thee; thou wilt cause
ripe dates to fall upon thee.
So eat and drink and be consoled.
And if thou meetest any mortal, say: Lo! I have vowed a fast unto the Beneficent, and may not speak this day to any mortal.
Then she brought him to her own folk, carrying him. They said: O Marry! Thou hast come with an amazing thing .
Oh sister of Aaron! They father was not a wicked man nor they mother a harlot.
Then she pointed to him. They said: How we talk tl one who is in the cradle, a young boy ?
He spake: Lo! I am the slave of Allah. He hath given me the Scripture and hath appointed me a Prophet.
And hath made me blessed where soever I may be, and hath enjoined upon me prayer and almsgiving so long as I remain alive.
And (hath made me) dutiful toward her who bore me, and hath not made me arrogant, unblest.
Peace on me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive.
Such was Jesus, son of Mary, (this is) a statement of the truth concerning which they doubt.
It befitteth not ( the Majesty of) Allah that He should take unto Himself a son. Glory be to Him! When He decreeth thing , He faith unto it only : Be! and it is.
And lo! Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So serve Him. That is the right path.
The sects among them differ : but woe unto the disbelievers from the meeting of a awful day.
See and hear them on the Day they come unto Us! Yet the evil-doers are today in error manifest.
And warn them of te Day of anguish when the case hath been decided . Now they are in state of carelessness, and they believe not.
Lo! We inherit the earth and all who are thereon, and unto us they are returned.
(Qur'an, 19:16--40)

Today lots of Catholics and Christians are converting to the Islamic religion and becoming as Muslims. This makes me feel proud and happy. After they become Muslims they take their time to read books of Islamic teachings, trying to learn Quran and understand its meanings, searching Islamic books that relates the past happenings during the time of Prophets and their way of life. The Catholics and Christians already carry with them good feelings towards others, good thinking, good heart, helping others, helping feelings, never utter lies, always follow the correct path in their life and things. In most places they are following the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad (Sal) even before they embraced Islam. Today our original Muslims are still studying the lessons and teachings said by our Prophet Muhammad (sal) and still those teachings are heard, studied and later not practicing or simply forgotten. These things are widely happening now. So I feel so much happy to see the Catholics and Christians brothers and sisters embracing Islam. When they come into Islamic and become Muslims, they bring good hearts with them, I mean they come with good feelings, good heart, good terms, good thoughts, as helping hands, as helpfully people, as honest people, as innocent people, as kind people, as truthful people, as pure hearts, as nice people and then they become more and more closer to Allah. There are differences between the Original Muslims and the those who embraced Islam. I always want to get United with Catholics and Christians brothers and sisters who embraced Islam and to deal with them throughout.
