I always make compost mix using regular soil which I can find everywhere because I have no access to potting soil and boy it is so effective and my plants are showing it. As of today there's no need for me to buy some ingredients from the market such as garlic, onion, tomatoes, lettuce, and chili because I can easily pick them in my garden. I even tried to plant a cabbage and wow...
Do you use this method if composting? If so how long does it take to break down? I'm researching because I'm going to start composting for my back yard garden but I want to do a trial run first
Hello sir..great video.. one small question.. im now using a big bucket and been filling it with vegetable waste and other things.. till the time the bucket is full, we have to add water and mix the contents with a shovel ..my question is, after the bucket is full, should we keep mixing the contents every now and then and add water to keep it moist???please help me
No .. if you add peels daily and water it regularly ... It will take almost 3 month to completely decomposed ... Water only once and let it dry itself ... 😊😊
You need to blend the egg shells in a blender or Nutrí- Bullet to turn them into dust, then it will be more suitable for the plants and microorganisms in the soil to be absorbed and Utilize by. Instead of big pieces that take to loom to breakdown.
Yes, you're absolutely right ... But after one month, nutrients will release in soil ... So you can use as you wish ... I always try to show the easiest method... Which will work definitely ... Thanks for your suggestions... have a good day ...
Good evening, I am beginning to get into the subject of small family gardens (I have little space) and all that this entails. I have no experience related to the subject and I would like to ask you some questions regarding compost: Can I do it in old plastic paint cans or wooden drawers for example? If I do not have at least natural wood and dry pruning waste at the moment, can I do it only with soil, grass and kitchen waste, eg fruit and vegetable peel, egg, etc? In this case the process to be carried out would be the same?
I am not an expert, but I think you need “brown” matter like dry leaves and “green” matter like kitchen waste or fresh leaves. Your compost container needs to be gas-permeable (“breathe”), so no plastic. Harmful chemicals in plastics would leach out anyway. You don’t want that. Happy composting!
Anything .. that cover the whole container from upper side ... Any kind of plastic is best for it ... Because we need to protect it from rain water and pests ... 😊😊😊
Please try it ... And I'll wait for your result ... Remember one thing ... If your temperature is lower than 25℃ ... Then it will take minimum 60 days to decomposed completely ...
Roof Gardening - ছাদ বাগান It works like a charm! Even in direct sunlight it takes about 3 months in my area (when only turning it once every four week) but it does work! It looks like beautiful compost with worm castings
Doing container gardening using a regular rectangular bin. We throw in kitchen food scraps an we are happy with the results. I also posted videos of how easy we did it.
Hello sir, I’ve read that it’s better to let it exposed to direct sunlight, that will make it decompose faster, also cover the container and drill that cover with small holes. What do you think sir? Thanks
Direct sunlight will make it dry very fast . And then it will not decomposed anymore ... You have to keep the moisture in it ... And other informations are true 😊
Great video sir :) was wondering. Do you think covering it up and maybe turning it every week might help? I hear covering is necessary as we’d want the temperature during composting to be high? Thank u
@@surbhijain1282 bigger pieces can take longer to breakdown. Try running the scraps through an old blender or food processor. I say old because you probably don't want to use a newer, nicer blender to shred old food waste.
