Thrift stores in Japan: cute stuff, different styles, designer clothes, excellent condition.
Thrift stores in Buenos Aires: one or two nice things, clothes your grandma would have buried her enemies in, mistakes from the dark ages.
Oh, well.

7/11 in Japan: cute novelty foods, decent quality meals
7/11 in America: Big Gulp and tetanus
I've never been to 7/11 in America because they're always tiny stores by the gas stations. I'd rather go to a cute little bodega by my co-op.
Yeah but the slurpee will always be good
7/11 in Australia: DONUTS!!!
Honestly same with Japanese dollar stores vs American dollar stores. Cute, quality stuff vs broken, dirty, knockoff crap
7/11 in England: N/A
for all u ppl who like thrifting in Harajuku there is a hidden store called santonibunoichi, the people at the store are MEGA NICE its un poco pricy but their aesthetic is amazing
I wish I could go thrifting/shopping in japan but I'm chubby lol.

@@xxkarlosxxxxxx7233 not everyone in Japan is skinny! it might be harder as japanese people tend to be of a smaller build but that does not go for everyone. Also if it's thrifting, there is bound to be something for all sizes, it just might be harder to find.

Hey! Fashion nerd here, Jeremy Scott is an American designer and the current director of Moschino, but he got his fame from his collabs with Adidas. He’s probably done about 8 or so at this point. I collect Jeremy Scott shoes, and the ones you saw were both worth around £250 when brand new.
Lol i was like why did they dont know. He helps with the whole mylittlepony x moschino and barbie stuff
I thought she would get those!!! 💖😍😀

You're out here inadvertently teaching me how yen converts
Not exactly doe
yen is roughly a cent 1 yen = 1 cent roughly
Ye, no need to be exact since it constantly changes but it's good enough to guesstimate the prices.
I like how Alex just gets stuff without even looking at the size
In all fairness, she's a small girl and Japanese sizes are small. Plus, she probably does check the size and you just don't see it or notice it.

Can you make a video talking about how to travel in Japan? Like how to book hotels, flights, the cost of traveling there, food, how communication is if you speak little to know Japanese, how to travel between cities etc.
It would be super helpful and interesting to learn !
Yes yes yes!!!
Julia Crisan I have a few tips about Japan:
1. Do not blow your nose in public as it is considered rude. You can sniffle all you want or just find a private place to blow your nose.
2. Do not tip the waitress. It will make them confused. So that’s 30% of your money saved.
3. Please bow when you say thank you. Especially when your given a gift, and apologizing.
4. Take gifts with both hands. Even when handing a gift.
5. Do not say Baka (Idiot) as it is considered VERY rude.
6. Wear a surgeon mask if your sick.
7. You will have to eat all of the food on your plate. If you think you can’t finish too much then order a small meal.
8. Do not stick your chopsticks in food (like rice). Those are used in funerals. Don’t hit your bowl with the chopsticks either.
9. Please respect elders (Especially disabled people) on a public transport. If they can’t find a seat please give up your seat.
10. Do not use your phone on a public transport.
11. If you have tattoos please cover them. If your tattoos show the Japanese will think your part of a group called the Yakuza (A group a gangsters.).
12. Shower before entering a hot springs.
Gacha Gamer I don’t understand tip number 8 can you elaborate on that please?? What do you mean sticking your chopsticks in food??
@@jackcurtis1484 if you're going to put your chopsticks down to drink water, check your phone or do something else, lay them flat on the edge of the bowl, don't stick them upright (food side down, holding side up in the air) into your rice so the chopsticks stand upright by themselves. It's rude in Japanese, Chinese and I believe Korean culture as well.
Gacha Gamer oh I have one! When putting your chopsticks down, make sure their pointing to the left
Tiasha is the shopping partner we all need. She's so patient and supporting 😍

Don Don Down is legit the best thrift store in Japan imo. It's called 'on Wednesday' because every Wednesday the prices go down! They also frequently have huge sales, but it can get super crowded on those days because the store in Shibuya is so narrow
I'm very curious about where the heck Alex stores all this clothing that she buys xD
Yes!! I have a 3 bedroom house and my clothes fill each closet and they are packed so tight
I think she used to have a room or two dedicated to her clothing
There's a Benedict Cumberbatch narration of Sherlock Holmes? That's it I'm getting Audible😍😍😍

I really enjoyed the Benedict Cumberbatch one! I haven’t listened to the Stephen Fry’s version and I actually didn’t know he had narrated Sherlock Holmes. That might have to be my next audiobook.

@@nil-8026 how so??
@@Mink071 I would assume you'd go get a clerk to "clear" that mannequin of it's clothing pieces and bag. I actually got a pair of shorts off a half mannequin as that one was the last one in my size (in mens) in the whole store (this was a surf shop in Hawaii, not Japan) after asking the a floor employee to get it off the rack, he asked me if I wanted it off the mannequin...after finding out there was no more on the rack in my size.
- I know I'm not the person this was a reply to, but I have a feeling they aren't going to come back and respond....as they already have. I can't blame Alex though since most of us (if we're from the AUS, UK, or US) don't really know how to make fully coherent sentences asking a store employee to take the outfit off of the mannequin in Japanese. Heck I'm Japanese and I can't even speak a word my ancestors language, but oddly I can sing it though if I have the song playing in the background (mainly any vocal theme from the games I play).
singing and dancing loudly as the only foreigner was also quite rude.

Also, watching the ads to help a girl out with her shopaholic ways
OMG AH I'm only like 4 mins in but I HAD TO comment because I read the nightingale floor books (I think 2 or 3) when I was a young teen and have always felt like it's such an amazing story that not enough people know about.
