- My Whisky Collection at home has grown SOOO much over the last 5 years but is there whiskies I wouldn't buy again? Join me on my first whole Whiskey collection run down from bottles of 80s Blended Scotch to Master Collection Bourbon.
I am proud that the vast majority of my bottles have been purchased via sales, discounts and offers so it shows you can pay less for your whisky.

My collection has come to that point where the storage is completely overflowing, and there are treasures in the back hidden away that I forget I have constantly. Seeing the prices rise as they are I am very happy to have a nice collection. I love seeing other people's collections... not a single one is the same! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching, Yeah I love seeing other peoples collection so it was only fair that I done my own! I think it is a good time to be sitting on a collection with bottles increasing in price, I know I will be safe for purchases for a couple of years! Cheers!

Pretty decent collection, Jeff, you can be proud of it.....Loch Lomond wise, I had the opportunity to try that Inchfad 4 yo NHS/The Single-Cask (thanks to New Dram Drinker) & it really impressed me, so yeah, you should open it, mate ! Nice stories behind your bottles too, btw...& if I understood well your video, you have now to open 5642 bottles, right ? 🤣Well done, Jeff & no, it wasn't boring & I'm glad you had so many cool opportunities to get nice bottles free or cheap, Cheers !
That Ant has a lot to blame as he told me about that bottle too! Yeah I am very proud to be such a cheap bargain hunter, I would say I paid under RRP for at least 80% of them. Proudly I have now opened 3 more since that video... maybe a few more to go. 🥃

When you said you only drink two glasses per week i was like “naaaah….” and then you kept waving these unopened and/or almost full bottles in front of the camera…. How are you doing this?
I’m struggling to do my 3-4 dry days per week …. If i have a new bottle at home it’s usually opened within a week…
Anyway…. Great video! Can’t wait for some of these unopened gems’ reviews!

Thanks Kiwigor! Yeah I am a really slow drinker, possibly the biggest lightwait in WhiskyTube because of it. I would happily like to sit down with a dram more, just finding the time really at the moment. Agree on the itch to open the new bottle through the door though.

@@kiwigor haha there was a lot, however since filming there is slightly less sealed bottles now! The Ardnamurchan is in the pipeline to be reviewed, maybe 3 videos away so that could mean months! 🤣🤣

@@JeffWhisky o dear ... now I have to recall. I know at lest the GS Victoriana and the Lagavulin 16yo, and as I remember correctly the Machir Bay and Laphroaig CS (but of those I'm not sure if they are in your collection)

I accidentally left six bottles lying on their side for about two hours , have I destroyed them ?
Hey @@Frank75288 Your bottles should be completely fine. I think it takes days/weeks for the alcohol to start damaging a cork. Hope the bottles are well!

Cheers Boyata, I thought by placing the boxes behind it would look better than just empty shelves! I spotted it in editing, that it did wobble quite a bit, I found when I packed it up that it unclipped so could have fallen at any point! Glad it didn't. Cheers.

You done well to fit soo many bottles on one Kallax unit. I just got a one row yellow Kallax filled with about 20 bottles.
Good spot on the Kallax, Ikea had an offer so would been rude to have not grabbed one, I am concerned that it will one day collapse though, that will be a very bad day! What standouts do you have in your collection? Cheers for watching.

Felt a bit like I was on a boat with this one, everything is slightly tilted to the right. Solid collection and really cool bottle of Powers!

Yeah, it certainly has built up over the last five years! I am probably one of the slowest drinkers in WhiskyTube, lucky to squeeze in 3 drams a week these days. How quick do you find yourself getting through a bottle? Cheers.
Jeff, you started a bottle slapping craze (which is genuinely peachy), and now I think you might have started a bottle somersaulting craze, too, which might not always end well. But it was very entertaining. I had to hold my breath as each of those bottles took a spin through thin air. Have you had any collateral damage? The other thing I have to compliment you on is your patience in waiting for a good bargain to fall from the heavens. I couldn't believe some of the prices you were quoting. Cheers for watching and the brilliant comment Russell! I am really proud of the bottle slap movement, great to see so many people getting involved with a bit of stupid fun! I am yet to drop a whisky bottle but definitely dropped some others over the years! It certainly is a dangerous habit I need to kick! Regarding bargains often by me waiting it has meant I have missed out on some great whisky but occasionally a real gem floats by. Cheers 🥃🥃

Hey Jeff, have you opened that talisker port ruighie yet? I’m not talisker biggest fan, I tend to favor the ledaig but I do love a port finish and this one has always caught my eye, super interested to know what you think

No Springbank? No Hazelburn?!?! Glad to see the KK bottles opened, try to get your hands on the 8 Bourbon, that is golden. Good collection, how many have been recycled since the video.
I have almost grabbed the Springbank 10 a couple of times online, just never felt it was worth the money based on the samples I have tried. Same with Hazelburn really, but there is always room for more Kilkerran! 1 has been recycled and three more soon to disappear in the next couple of weeks. Cheers for watching.

Intersting The price of a bottle is not iportant to me I have a yearly budget If my spend for the year is £1000 and i buy a whisky at £1000 that s it for the year some years i can buy lots of bottles some years only a few Dont be frightend to sell bottles to buy Example buy a bottle for £80 sell for doulble Allows you to buy moer expensive bottles Injoyed your video
A fixed annual budget is a really good way to approach it Gav. Hows you budget going so well this year? Been some good releases so far. Mine is often down to how much money I have left at the end of the month if I can squeeze in a bottle. Cheers for watching!

I would never buy Lagavulin 16 as it is 40 per cent and nearly £70. I prefer port Charlotte 10 or ledaig 10 for value and decent abv.

How long did it take you to take all your bottles down then put them back up? Will that be in your extras video? Thanks for sharing your collection am sure you will be able to make it even bigger for 2024!

haha about 30 minutes for both, sorting them into regions took quite a while as I don't have a system on the shelves. The video recording was about 1 hour and 20 minutes so cut out a lot of leaning over grabbing bottles.
Glad to hear about 2 glasses a week - It's a real pain to be into whiskey, but actually not to drink that much
Couldn't agree more with you Art. I adore the liquid but I don't overly indulge in multiple glasses. I would love to drink the golden nectar more but life finds a way! Cheers

Cheers for watching Kyle. Yeah, I wouldn't trust my palate either with my out there tasting notes 😂. In previous years I was able to enjoy a dram a lot more, however between becoming a parent and work, often too tired to grab a bottle 😂 . The aim is to have them all open, got three soon to hit the recycling, which means 3 more to add to the hit list, any recommendations?
