If I recall correctly, the No CB war with the Teutons has something to do with a quirk in their new missions
Yes, that was already discussed under other comments ;)
The "Tudor" heir died is actually saved cuz if he didnt die and get to the throne the dynasty could changed and not same with the Castile anymore
yasuo?!!?
@@Skiddla I kinda lost while trying to find to who killed my master i ended up in this map game.
the face zlewikk did when ai teutonic order no cbed austria out of nowhere was priceless :D
Excellent video. Also, I'm pretty sure that the Burgundy war is because they don't consider overlord of overlord so they declare on bourbonnais thinking only france will join
F
I thought they fixed that in this patch? I know they made Ai consider allies of allies for things like the emperor so assumed they'd do the same with overlords.
Yes that happened to me as well last week and I was also playing england and they definitely dont consider your allies since I was allied to poland, castille, portugal and denmark
@@aderaderxy just one more thing paradox manages not to fix every patch :( also colonial empires are still trash as allies spain and portugal were no help in my war with france as england :((
Excellent video. Not just the quality of the play, but I know that the little video edits take time as well! Keep it up!
Thanks!
I'm pretty sure the event to kill Henry Tudor saved you some trouble, because the Tudor dynasty is NOT the Lancaster dynasty so if you didn't kill him you would not have had the same dynasty as Castille anymore
Well, that depends when we would declare the PU war and when would ruler die, but that's right :)
Excited to see a new campaign with multiple eps always my fav of yours.
Letss goo. Nice new project. I really like it. Pls continue
Thanks!
5:20 what I sometimes like to do in pu/subjugation wars is give promised land to allies and then ask for it back 5 years later
Wdym ask for it?
@@ZlewikkTV return core with favors it works with vassals
Ok, it would work here! But it's pretty much an edge case... and anyway Castile is my pu as well :p
Man, i love you so much. The picture of Charles III. killed me 🤣😃. Hope you make some Save ruined campaigns again.
Oh I keep doing ruined campapigns since 2018. Why thought I wouldnt do that anymore?
GB is my fav eu4 nation 👌
ZLEWIKK THE KING
You should vassalize Provence to take advantage of their mission that gives them cores on Naples if they own corsica. I believe corsica is in the English mission tree and then you should have access to the ottomans and egypt
Wellz there is nothing that I should do here as it's sp and we can do whatever we want to :p.
But yeah, we will see if I want to go east, rather not
@@ZlewikkTV just a suggestion! Enjoying the episode by the way... I just played England too much trying to min-max...😅
@@filipp0tonelli If you wanna min maxing everything, then in SP you should always Vasallize Riga not later than 1470 - Build each building required for mision and around 1470-1475 (might be later, depends of their stability) you will have vassal with 24k units and huge economy :D

Loving This
Hey, Zlewikk! Do you plan on completing the english mission tree? I think it would be really interesting, as it also encourages you to develop a lot :)
Just an idea though, great video as always!
We will see how people will enjoy the series, but I'd love to :)
If I had to guess, Burgundy attacked Bourbonnais because they're a vassal of a PU, so the AI didn't take into account *your* troops but just France's troops.
No idea about the Teutons though, an event maybe? I can't think of anything else, I've never seen the AI do a Best CB war.
Teutons is due to their mission tree
No i fajnie, imperialna seria Anglią pod kolonializm.
Mała sugestia, możesz odtworzyć imperialne plany które im się nie udały czyli:
zajęcie Afganistanu
Okupacja Chin (mieli możliwość ale musieli zrezygnować bo mogło to za bardzo wzmocnić Niemców)
Przejęcie całej Ameryki Płn i Indii Zachodnich.
Połączenie lądowe od Kairu do Kapsztadu (no to akurat im się udało w naszej rzeczywistości)
Zająć Irak i Iran (rządy marionetkowe powstały dopiero w XX wieku ale plany były już na początku XIX wieku)
A long time ago they Nerfed calling allies into defense wars by forcing them to be vassels it's kind of like the promise land thing.
Teuton no-CB: if they become part of HRE with missions, they can't attack HRE members or else they declare war on Kaiser and his friends.
Yes, that was already discussed under other comments ;)
Hope to see the Navara PU next episode too !
Amazing video, but I dont understand very well how Castile ended up with a Lancaster on their throne? I played it many times and I dont know how to do that
Their ruler died without an heir while we had a royal marriage
3k achieved, I await eagerly
Austria wanting Franche-comté is historically understandable. Franche-Comté was a part of the HRE lands, whereas Ducal Burgundian lands were not. And in game Franche-Comté is HRE as well.
I highly suggest to play anbennar with the expanded submod . It is a completely different and more challenging game and it would be interesting to see you play it .
I played anbennar on stream last year, people didnt really watch it ;-;
@@ZlewikkTV :c will just remain a dream then
@@ZlewikkTV I did ;-; loved going though the vods, sadg that it was never popular :(
I was just playing england myself, this’ll be fun
nice! How did it go?
@@ZlewikkTV I avoided the maine war by releasing gascony and normandy and giving maine to france, I focused everything on the war of the roses, then scotland, then ireland, once the entire isles were mine I went about conquering stuff and forming as many colonial nations that I could, by 1530 I had half of france, a nation in canada, the usa mexico colombia brazil and cuba, gibralter, some of the isles in the med, and I was already exploring the indian ocean. Really silly how good the english navy is.
That's an new event that made the teutons attack the empire
I thought so initially as well, but it felt it doesnt match it. I only base it on dd though, didnt play teutons yet :p
@@ZlewikkTV I am pretty sure about it, I mean ai won't no cb without the event. And the event looks exactly like this
@@mofaya01 You're most probably right as I didn't play it yet :p
The Tutons Joined the Empire but the Emperor forbade them from waging war inside the Empire. Its a possible Option AI Emperors often take. Since its event based - the fact that you attack the Emperor is not calculated by the AI and the Tutons often declare war as soon as they join the Empire ( mostly on wolgast or stetin). Its basicly a bug because the AI does not understand the Restriction. I have it in like every 3rd or 4th game.
Hey Zlewikk, is there a chance you would do video explaining how to get personal unions? I see a lot of youtubers getting them, I know how (in teory) to get them, but everytime they have my dynasty and ruler dies they have medium/strong claim of heir or they get different dynasty. The only time I get them is when Im not really trying and get them randomly. Im really curious if it's only my bad luck or what. Best wishes
I actually did a guide 4 years ago :D I'd say not much changed since then, wxcept now there are a lot of missions for PUs
It's basically what's shown in video - they have to have the same dynasty and no heir or heir with weak claim. Then you need personal union and claim throne. After that you gain casus beli on them. It's still pretty random though. Also you can ask ally to get your dynasty heir for favours. And there's higher chance of not having an heir if they have less royal marriages and a ruler is young (like in the video, where he ascended the throne after regency).
@@ZlewikkTV oh, didnt know, thanks for answer
@@Aszur98 I mean yea, but everytime they have my dynasty and ruler dies the claim is not weak or they get different dynasty, so I cant claim the throne...
Cant wait for part 2!!!
12:25 If this were my campaign, I would be glad this happened. I would have disinherited Henry Tudor, then waited for Castile to get the Iberian wedding and Naples, after which I would claim their throne.
Did you watch till the end before commenting? 🙃 I pretty much did almost exactly what you said 😅
@@ZlewikkTV Yes but you got Navarra instead of Naples.
Anyways can't wait to see the rest of the campaign.
Also I started a France campaign where I got Milan, Burgundy, and Naples in a 3 year period (and had to take full AE for all of them becauce burgundy remained independent). Coalition didn't even fire.
@@markpiper6382 very nice!
@@markpiper6382 yes, force-PU AE is much more forgiving now. Yesterday I PUed a 2k-development Austria as Mughals (Orthodox) and like 2 countries got upset. But those two had already been pissed with me.
@@StrategySphere Here's the thing. The coalition was still the entirety of Southern Germany area, Rhineland area, Lowlands area, Northern Italy area, and the British Isles area. This was because I had just finished a war with England, done the Subjugate Brittany mission, and took about 300 development through personal unions within a 5 year period.
is Influence worth it only for the policy? or to keep those big subjects in line?
I also noticed , not giving the cores back to Franec earns you abour 8 less AE
It's not only the policy, that's also cheaper annexation cost for subjects gameplay, more relations, dip rep for annexation and unjustified demands to pay less dip points for peace deals
0:11 that was already 2 years ago? I feel like i was just watching it.
the teuton no cb war mean they became part of the HRE from event but then attacked a member of the hre... still silly though
There is a new HRE incident about the Teutons and one outcome says that the Teutons can join the HRE, but they are not allowed to attack anyone inside the HRE or the Kaiser intervenes. I think this is what happened. AI Teutons does not take into account that the Kaiser will intervene when they attack a weak Stettin or so. It is sort of a bug right now.
Yeah, thanks, it was actually discussed under another comment already :)
england did not have nobility estate did they put it back in 1.34 ? or when we form GB nobility estate will be deleted ?
they put it back

In one of my games, england get spain as a minor...
You can imagine the rest of story
I hope this becomes a series
that's the plan!
isn’t it based on opinion not disloyalty when breaking the union
Yes, purely on positive opinion, I dont think I said otherwise?
Were you able to ask Castile by using fauvors to return cores to France before you PU them [Castile]? I'm not sure if it's working for PU, but giving them provinces for help in war, and after few years asking them to return them sounds funny ;)

"Haut-Poitou" is pronounced o-po-ah-too
And Chartres, uhhh... I can't think of an easy way to put is.
Ah, Potato!
For Chartres, I think I know how to pronounce it, I just thought it's just 'chartes' hence my pronounciation
They Nerfed the thing he talks about at the end. But it seems to still work on one version before that update. Muscovy and Lithuania are unplayable as this cheese. I am only using 450 governoring points.
Yep, I'll update second video to 1.34.4 anyway
Protipp for Burgundy, cancel the rivalry against you, and improve, ally, marry and inherit. Meanwhile ally the HRE Empereror and curry favor and sabotage the relations between the two. ;)
Yeah, that requires Burgundy to have below 0 relations with both France and Austria I believe, not that easy unless they rivaled both and I don't need to savescum :)
@@ZlewikkTV That is what favors are good for :) And you afaik France cant get them while they are under PU, dont you need a ruler to get a PU?
yeah, but that cost a fair amount of favors and decreases opinion by only 50 (not sure about it, but I think that you also cannot do it just twice on one country)
Also diplomatic ideas first and become HRE emperor. Doing it as England is easier than as Castile or Denmark and the force limit and manpower it gives is really nice, both in keeping huge subjects loyal and in fighting all over the world once you unlock your colonial ideas.
Plus conquering Lübeck without constantly fighting the emperor and his allies is quite nice too.
As GB there is not really a need to reform the HRE, it's of course the strongest thing any nation can do in EU4 but it is kinda lame, just with the pure emperor buffs you are already stronger than anyone else.
@@ZlewikkTV 100 opinion reduction for 10 favors, IMO in Burgundian case worth AF
@9:00, i wasn’t sure if it was your baby girl or mine :D
Fatherhood…
Hahahah
In matters of dominating western europe by the 1400s, I've had a Portugal game where I got a PU over England some barely a year or so into the game. Never had this luck before, nor knew this could happen. Still, following portuguese mission tree I steamrolled the castillians, and eventually got all of Iberia by ~1490, while also declaring wars on France with England's CBs and taking all their coastline, meaning when colonialism came I had a monopoly over the entire New World.
... abandoned that campaign because it got too easy lol ;-;
I had France and Castille under PU as England in 1452, abandoned the campaingn as well xD
I wish you would return the spanish holdings in france back for nicer borders
They will be nicer once I annex both 🙃
is that worth finish Ireland misson taht early?
Absolutely, later I'll be drowning in money later, now I needed it to deal with loans
@@ZlewikkTV but its nearly conquered Ireland. is that really help to do whith the loans? i mean, its really poor region with autonomy an without any special tradegoods. I ussually wait with that kind of missions for i at least build manufactories&workshops
@@ВикторИванов-ф5к autonomy was zero as I decreased it manually shortly after coring. Also, it does not affect goods produced. A few ducats now is>>>>20 ducats later
@@ZlewikkTV well i guess its rly worth it
RIP... centralize state refund got nerfed to only refund 50% now.
The New Meta is always lower the autonomy. The government reform growth is very important.
Well, lower autonomy was always important. Bigger focus now is to focus on full states in early game and avoid territories
In my game of Scotland my ally of Castile no CB a North Africa nation. So I guess the AI will no CB now but I don't understand why didn't put a claim on it first they share a sea tile.
In case of ateutons that was due to their mission tree
Wasn't the AI fixed earlier, in that it didn't declare stupid wars against "unbeatable" odds? Or am I missing something? Is the AI back to stupid or were they always this stupid?
Teutons war appears to be a bug related to their mission tree
@@ZlewikkTV I see.
great!

Can you post the save plz?
If you delete forts on the mainland france will get no warscore if they end up taking them. I know the goal is not letting them take anything at all but you never know.
You should take the transfer subject age bonus next and then take over Norway and Sweden to become the PU master of Europe
Hmmmm
Taking Sweden and Norway makes them vassals not PUs

Wait if you centralize the gov cost should reach 0? Is it a bug?
Can you elaborate? Not sure if I understand what you have in mind
@@ZlewikkTV each time you pay 50 adm and 50 reform progress you get a flat -25% governing cost for the state . There is a goverment reform who let you spam it for free. But I don't understand if it is a bug or they forgot to make it a % of the current cost and not a flat reduction
Got it, I dont know if it works how the tooltip says as I didnt test it yet
@@ZlewikkTV i bet this will be your next video if it work! In a ipotetical case where each state cost only 1 gov cap WC meta will change because now you will not need russia style of national ideas or buff . Just siege buff
To deal with the War of the Roses disaster, is there any downside to choosing the "worse" option and letting pretenders siege down the country and enforce the "better" option? No manpower wasted, no drowning in debts, free troops from the rebels, etc.

centralizing is patched. now you only get 50% back
In 1.33, allies wouldn’t get mad if you promised them land but didn’t give them any in the Maine War cuz I assume you are not taking any land yourself and merely enforcing a “treaty”, so I just took the France PU without any consequences. Is this a changed feature in 1.34? In any case, not giving land isn’t much of a problem cuz you can just trade favours for trust to prevent them from breaking Alliance.
I would delete the fort in Wales and Northumberland cuz they’re useless as Scotland is too weak, same for the forts in the continent after the French PU cuz France’s forts should be enough.
I assume it's the case in 1.34 as the game was pretty clear with telling me Castile will lose 20 trust, and I didnt have enough favours to trade it.
Also besides that, I'd get 'broken promise' modifier, which makes my other allies not join future wars for a while, which is not so useful
If you have less than 200% overextension, you’re not even playing the game.
