    I've been following your build and enjoyed your insight. Hope to make the plunge soon. Thanks for making these videos.

      That's great. In hindsight, I don't know why it took me so long to get this done...I was partly worried that I might mess up since I never built one up from ground up...but it was super easy conversion. Highly recommend this.

    Very nice build, those dusty rocks look ultra silippery but the truck did well.

      Thank you. The concrete has good grip, but the rocks are super slippery. Line #4 is one of the most difficult lines, but it handled it much easier than stock.

    Finally have my chassis on the way. Yours looks good. Anywhere to see what guys are running for shocks oil/spring combo? And, I have the same tires and wheels as you. What do you run for weights and foams? If I may ask... :)

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  3 роки тому +2

      Awesome and congratulations. I think you will like the new chassis. I am still using my stock springs and 30wt shock oil. I might go a bit higher shock oil, but I haven’t done it yet as it’s quite capable rig right now. As for foams, I am using Crawler Innovations dual stage comp cut with soft outer for the front and medium outer for rear. It’s working well.

    How much flex do you have? I find that my shocks don't move much. Is that the nature of a belly dragger?

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  3 роки тому +1

      I wouldn’t say it is nature of a belly dragger, but flex/articulation is overrated. I am running 90mm shocks front and back. And I added 5mm limiter to the front shocks. And I find them ideal for the way I drive it.

      @@BigSungHobbies okay. My friend said I needed flex, I thougt it was okay.

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  3 роки тому

      @@adammtber5199 Keep in mind that you need certain amount of flex. I am not saying that you shouldn't have it. But like anything there are pros and cons to it. So you need to find the right balance of flex.

    I need to find a good option for my trx4 chassis swap thinking maybe the brazin ATL

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  4 роки тому +1

      I believe few folks have used Gspeed on TRX4 axles, but I am not too familiar with trx4 setup. I just added a used TRX4 Sport to my fleet, so I should be putting out some videos shortly.

    Nice! Clean build. What links are you using?

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  4 роки тому

      Thanks! I am using Hardcore RC's HC stainless steel links for Element Enduro. Perfect fit on Gspeed V3 chassis.

    This look just like one of RC reviews testing grounds, do you know each other?

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  4 роки тому

      We are in the same area, and I have known RC Review for a while. We used to mountain bike together. I just find the area to be a good consistent testing ground. Since the lines are consistent, I can really gauge the performance differences. And I think that's the reason, I tend to go there to do performance comparison tests.

    What body mounts did you go with? I’m doing my gapers swap right now

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  4 роки тому +1

      Some folks cut up the stock shock towers/body mount and use those, but I am using Team KNK aluminum body mount.

    What type and size the motor u used?

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  3 роки тому

      I was using the stock Reedy motor. It's a decent motor for RTR. Since then I upgraded to Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster Magnum Stubby 11T.
