All I want in life is an elder-focused pack and I really think that could be a great way to introduce the inclusion of not only different mobility features in base game, but the elevator update AND introduction of ramps. I used to work in a senior living home and know many of them have elevator access due to wheel chair or walking tool usage, so here’s me once again having more reason to be beeggging for an elders expansion

yes! canes, not dying from exercise, special interactions w kids. elevators are in the university and lovestruck debug. i would take spiral staircases too

@@tuffoniongenuinely. I really dislike that elder gameplay is so boring, i really feel like it could and should be improved on so much more. It sucks that I lose all interest in my sims as soon as they hit the last life phase because there is just nothing to do at all

I do really like the gallery sims on the cupids corner, it allows you to easily have actually good sims in the world (and not just townies or randomly generated sims) and if it's something really bad, it doesn't effect the game much unless you let it.
I guess having living red flags on your dating app adds to the realism.
I'd have liked to have this extend to replace randomly generated sims and instead have sims from the gallery. So like you could just be out playing and living your Sim's life then suddenly you see Simsie's sims show up. It'd help make the world feel a little more connected in my opinion. Plus it'd get rid of the issue of sims randomly showing up in terrible random clothes..

I dont think simsie should feel bad that she uses packs. As a sims player an watcher, I don't own all the packs so watching others play with an use the packs I don't have is nice cause of the fantasy aspect. I live through simsie, and it gives me context on what picks I could buy in the future! So use all the packs you want ❤❤❤
It also gives you inspo for builds. Since you can't download the build you try to emulate it which is fun.
@@aleajohnson3669 it’s expensive i’ve been gathering up packs since 2018 😂 i think i’ve spent over 200 in just expansions 🤷🏻♀️ not worth it in my opinion a lot of it should be base game

I agree. I feel like people (simsie/creators) buy the packs to play with the packs. Why have the packs if you’re not gonna play with them? It makes it more fun and as she is somebody that has the packs, she should be able to use them. She also does a decent amount of limited pack builds.

I get not having gallery cupids corner for twitch but you could always do it for youtube let's plays because you can cut out anything unexpected while also having the fun of seeing sims you've never seen before

re: cupid's corner gallery sims I think the best option might be to set it to favorites only, but also to offer to your community that they can tag sims as like "simsiefaves" or something and then have someone besides yourself (Dan or another friend) go through and favorite those ones (while also excluding any bad actors or untagged CC sims). That way you still have the surprise and variety of gallery sims (without ruining any surprise for yourself) with less risk of something that isn't fun for everyone.

Yeah, she's referencing how when a pack relates to something in the base game they tend to use it as an excuse to update the feature. Like how since they were making a family pack (growing together) they upgraded the basegame life stage (infants). Or how they made more cas lables in basegame to go along with lovestruck
Let's say they made a hotel pack, that would give them a reason to update how elevators function across the game

For Rent, Growing Together & Lovestruck have really made the game playable again for me. It actually feels like you’re playing more with real life circumstances imo! Tiny homes, complicated relationships, everyday tragedies. I still play with mods for more drama, but I’m finding myself for the first time playing a bit without mods before all of them have been fixed after the update & still having a fun time!

@@jamie5092 I play with RPO from Lumpinou & a lot of mods from a.deep.indigo! In my opinion they both a lot of realism - like realistic pregnancy with consequences & complications, mods for neurodivergency & fluctuating self esteem. It makes the sims feel more like real people, which I personally really love!

With the dating app gallery thing - you could turn on the favorited only like you said, but maybe have a custom simsie tag as well so then you can sorta curate from fan stuff?

KAYLA! Limiting packs makes no sense anyway, so don't sweat it! Everyone has different packs, so limiting them doesn't help anyone. WE LOVE MANY PACKS!!!

I really enjoy your content and it’s been a great means of escape recently with everything going on in Sudan where my family is trapped. I don’t know if you know but there’s a genocide in Sudan as well as mass displacement and atrocities. speaking of for rent, it might be fun to send a sim (maybe legacy?) on a cruise and use the ship you made like a year or so ago!!
Semaj built rent apartments on a penthouse lot recently, when the pack and updates were out, and he has 3 elevators - all of them work. So when you rent apartment at the top floor you spawn at the top. When you rent apartment at the lowest floor, you spawn there etc.
Honestly, i think the best thing to do is just swipe past and dont even knowledge it. Might be fun if you come across one of your followers sims whilst live ☺️

For correction **We haven’t received penthouses since University** there was FOUR penthouses in that pack which is crazy that it has more than the city pack
This gives me hope that if we ever do get a hotels pack that we'll be able to make penthouse hotels

As for the gallery and Cupid's Corner, I don't think it would be much of an issue. If you encounter a horrible politician or offensive IRL person, for example, you can just say "wow, I can't believe someone made this" and move on. I haven't tried the feature yet, but presumably it comes with an option to block the user or report abuse? (If not, it really ought to include those options!) I don't think your viewers would be mad at you for a random gallery sim's inclusion, or need you to explain why you don't want your sim to date a person who is creepy irl. Ultimately, however, you're the one streaming so it's your decision.
i love how positive your videos are Kayla! i feel like there's a lot of negativity going around in the sims community atm, which is valid a lot of the time but in the same token it's not something i want to hear about in every sims video. a lot of us (me included) play this game every single day despite its' issues and controversies and i think that goes to say a lot.

My favorite apartment is the pink and black and the bachelor pad. But wow you’re a great builder. I love making apartments. I’m converting most of the houses into apartments. Currently I moved the gym to the rental house space and building a new apartment where the gym was at. I’m keeping the foundation where the stairs are and building a 3 story apartment building. You inspired me to build modern small apartments. Wish me luck. 😁

Idea for Gallery Dating App: Maybe make a rule that you will block/delete all real people matches? if the person exists in the real world then that’s a block

or just skip over it and filter the matches to ones saved on the gallery. and maybe don’t share your “simself” on the gallery if you don’t want people to use it.

Huh... I was thinking the gallery Cupid's Corner thing would be based off a certain hashtag being added when the household is uploaded or something. that way people would need to be intentional about it, and it would be possible to screen...
My ex' sister actually lived in a flat that had been built on top of an existing building, meaning five floors had access to a lift, but hers, the sixth, didn't!
While I completely understand your hesitation to use every single pack known to Sims-kind, I LOVE seeing your full building and decorating potential come to life with the ability to use all the packs. The builds have SO much more life, character, and personality when you allow yourself to build with no restrictions. Just my take from a dedicated viewer

I've got a backstory for the Snakeskin apartment. Its a bit chaotic.
Alternative Sims 4 timeline:
Mortimer Goth has passed away or abducted, who knows in sims land , and Bella is with Don Lothario. They're seemingly in a happy marriage, but Don Lothario is still same old, personality wise. He's step father to Alexander and Cassandra and raises them. Alexander is raised to be a bro, a player, a party animal, I imagine Don and him would go out to the bars, and gym together, Don would teach Alexander how to play beer pong. He would teach him all about the woohoo, and dating etc. So we end up with a Don 2.0, a nightmare Alexander Goth who moves into this apartment.
Really fun build. Love all the different styles!

honestly just skip over the sims you dont like - you dont have to make a big deal over it, just click away and let it go. you dont have to let it ruin your experience, it's up to you to how you respond and if you respond by simply clicking them off your screen then it won't effect anything.

It's really because of streaming services restriction on what they find to be inappropriate for public audiences to watch. Let's face it people can take things too far and make xxx rated content on the sims like giving them inappropriate names. If those characters comes up as lilsimsie streaming UA-cam or Twitch will cut off her streaming right then and there.
For example I watch people play reverse harem story games & at one point a person I was following label her channel and video as general audience because the game was just audio storytelling but after a few months youtube restricted her for only adults to watch because they thought the stories was too inappropriate for teens to listen to.
I got really excited about the gallery sims on the cupid app and even though I haven't played with the pack yet I think it's a good feature. From what I see people talking it helps a lot with sim options for dating (and let's be real the game generated sims are awful half the time), and most players don't have to worry about the content creator aspect of it but it is good that they offered three options for it, not just on or off. I think they got it right with that

34:30 I just wanna say in response to this that it's been really nice watching you branch out some more on colors. As much as I understand that some people will in fact theme their entire house around one color scheme, especially when talking about someone with money, most people I know in real life do not do this. It's much more realistic to perhaps have a single ROOM themed in one color, vs your entire house being matchy matchy.
To be honest another thing I'd love to see is maybe you letting go a little bit when it comes to color matching: one of the wonderful things about art and color and design is that colors dont need to be perfect matches to GO together. They can be similar enough, or different shades/tones of the same color, or complimentary to each other in some way and still look good together. There is nothing wrong with color matching, but not everything NEEDS to be a perfect match to still go well together. It's something people use in real life design and interior design all the time and it would be cool to maybe embrace the fact that many Sims 4 color swatches are not in fact perfect matches, and use them anyway as long as theyre complimentary.

The walking red flag apartment gives Gaston vibes from Beauty and the Beast. Ur builds have inspired me to try and build more in my games and I've been really enjoying the process thanx for the inspiration❤
