Most hotels don't provide wash cloths (or flannels as we call them) as they're considered a personal item - but you can get them from places like Boots, Superdrug, or our equivalent of dollar stores (pound shops...) like Savers, Poundstretcher or B&M - and pretty much any decent sized supermarket / grocery store

Lincoln is a great little city that's often overlooked - and of course is the original Lincoln (although I suspect most in the US are named after Abraham). If you head back this way again recommend a stop off in Newark-on-Trent

@@vaudevillian7 we would very much love a return trip. There is so much more to see and do. We did enjoy our time there, the people are really great!

If you go into a pub to eat (which we would differentiate from a restaurant) you almost always have to order at the bar. If there's a number on your table you have to order at the bar

Glad that you are enjoying your trip. I’m sure that your little dog misses you. You really have to pay very close attention on driving and stay in the left lane.

Now you have been to Bamburgh castle you should watch The Last Kingdom its about the rightful heir to Bamburgh castle trying to reclaim it all within the era of the Viking raids.

We'll have to give it a watch. They were advertising it pretty heavy inside the castle. Looks interesting.

@@turnpikestwisties2675 it's a really good show with a feature length episode to finish the story at the end of which you see the castle transition into what it looks likes today.
