We had to do a big wedding cake for one of our regular customers recently so we decided to film the entire process from conception to attending the actual wedding. It was an especially unique project because the cake was made on the Gold Coast (QLD, Australia), and flown to Adelaide (South Australia). It was a huge cake that needed to travel a huge distance. See how Serdar Yener did it!

That was one big and complicated cake but the part that really shocked me was that you never seemed overwhelmed or worried about this challenge. You are so brave! Amazingly brave!
No, he's just superbly skilled and experienced.
@@susanricart7844 Sure, but the stakes are high and the ways that things could go wrong are nearly infinite. Yes, indeed he's skilled but brave as well.
People say you are an artist, but man, I’m gonna say you are an engineer!!! My goodness, I got all nervous and tense watching the whole process. Bravo!
As a former wedding photographer for over 15 yrs., photographed many magnificent cakes, but this one is incredible. Wow. The shipping part of the cake is something else. Wow for that too.
Judit K. Juhasz Thanks
That's the most beautiful wedding cake I've ever seen. Enjoyed the whole trip! Again someone using their God given talent!
Truly wonderful work. I hope to be at that level some day. Anyone who complains of being charged "a lot" for a custom cake needs to watch this video and realize the work that goes into the process.
As many have said already, you are a true artist,...but also a master architect, builder, mathematician, designer, and, of course, chef, because I know that cake not only looked beautiful but tasted amazing with all those wonderful layers of complimentary flavors. You even managed to get some texture in there with the crunch!! Bravo!
Thanks for your time and expressing your thoughts.

Dear chef yener, I kept watching this episode over and over. The cake design was outstanding. Thank you again for this very detailed explanation and your cake work. ❤
I love the way how you blessed them at the end.
I have a whole new appreciation for cake design. Sir, you are truly an artisan! Oh, and how meticulous in your planning and design of the cake; you really take pride in your work and to that I bow to you and your work.
Sir, I must say that out of all of the master cake decorators that I have seen, you are absolutely hands down thee best that I have ever seen. You are so technical and precise with everything that you do and that really impresses me. I wish that I could afford to sit under you and learn a thing or two about cake decorating. WOW! is all I can say and beautiful!
Thanks Queen B I am motivated with your kind words.

Me too! I was only going to watch for a few minutes haha! I loved this
You're an artist.. I love the way you handle the cakes with great care. And you actually take the time to think and plan before you slap this and that on a wedding cake. You make buddy from cake boss look like a rookie.

Traveling with it to a wedding to make sure that it's perfect for the ceremony is above and beyond today's commitment standards. You sir are a rare treasure, sweeter than your confections.
So glad!

Yener has such a magnificent hability and art that make him a true legend.
I am always impressed about his amazing works.
This guy is the best in the business , Truly cares.
This is truly a work of art. Cake artists are so underrated.
They charge for their services. The cake isn't cheap. Its good to know your money won't be wasted.
I wish he were wearing gloves preventing hair and skin on the cake.
By far the best tutorial on cake decorating for an exquisite wedding!! You are a true artist and I have leaned a lot from watching. Thank you.
For every bite I tear off this masterpiece, I would shed a tear.
Simply amazing. The sheer engineering and logistics would have proven to be too extreme for most cake makers. Congratulations!
Wow, Wow, Wow. What a talent, you are a really Maestro. God bless your hands and your business.
Fabulous video. What a Master Craftsman. Stunningly beautiful cake, and I'm sure it was absolutely delicious as well. Your Gumpaste flowers are exquisite. Thank you for sharing the process. I suspect whoever was paying for this wedding is rather well off as I'm figuring this was a 3 or 4K cake. And worth every cent. Can't imagine how many hours it took just to do the Gumpaste. Old world craftsmanship, engineering smarts and vintage design. Major WOW factor.

I just noticed that at minute 1:08:18 the whole cake is sitting on two rows of stacked coffee cups!.. I guess it is the Yener's Way... You are also a great illustrator.
That is the most gorgeous cake I have ever seen.
This is the most beautiful cake I have ever seen. You did a magnificent job. Thank you for sharing the video of how you created it!! What a lucky bride.
Holy cow, these people are talented .o.
I knew it! From the beginning of this presentation and from the size of this cake... over 300 portions... It could only for a big fat Greek weeding.
Mr. Yener is a master. It's not necessarily my thing, but I couldn't imagine how much imagination and skill is needed to come to such a result. Respect!
ksenos69 Thank you kindly

It's so good to see true competence in the world. I have seen it decline so very much during my lifetime. I sincerely hope your mastery of the craft and service to your clientele has earned you the wealth you deserve.
Even the bride must give way for the attention to be on this magnificent wedding cake. You deserve every accolade given to you.
Just-WOW. Watching a master at his craft- I was doing the youtube scan thing- till I started to watch this. I watched it from beginning to end- and will again I am sure! I'm new to cakes, but am a 3-dimensional mosaic artist. I love the way you are transporting things almost as much as the flowers! Just Spectacular- you are a great teacher and it's an honor to have been in your "class" ~
Thanks for watching. I am honored
You are THE BOSS. Love your work. Saludos desde Venezuela =D

Wow, wow, wow. I have never seen such a beautiful cake. Ty for taking us with you from start to finish. What a learning experience it was. What an artist you are. Ty ty ty.
That was the most fantastic cake. How you managed to transport the cake and those fragile flowers 2,000 km with just one crack was a logistical feat. Thankyou for the brilliant narration letting us know what you were doing and why. Congratulations!
Beautiful! I loved watching from beginning to end!
Thanks so much! Appreciate your comment :)

Omg, I CRAVE this cake and I've never tasted it! It looks SOO delicious! I really need to have a slice of this cake!!! Like it's on my bucket list. I have thought about this cake soo many times since I saw the video two years ago. I thought about how amazing it must have tasted. How it must have been an orgasm for the taste buds. How everything that is good and perfect in the world was tasted in that first bite. Sure it's a gorgeous cake, but did you see what it was made out of?!?! I'm pretty sure if everyone in the world had a taste of this cake we would have world peace.

wonderful.
I watched the entire video from start to finish. amazing.
Love rewatching these. Such an artist xx
LOL Not being in the arena of this fine couple I would never eat this beautiful and very expensive art work, but get a cabinet that took all the air out so it would last forever. Beautiful cake. I'm sure everyone thought so.
What is it like to see all your hard work be eaten. I am sure there is pride that it is appreciated, but is there a feeling of loss too?
Obviously you have made many cakes, did you ever have a favorite out of all of them, and why?
Applepiebetty Thank you for the compliments. I will feel quite loss if they are not eaten. I didn't produce my favourite one yet. :-) You are very kind.
Worth the wait, from begining to end! I´ve learnt differents techniques!
My God, can´t imagine the cost of this Gorgeous Wedding Cake, is the trip included?
Congrats!
Cath

Wonderful 90mins of my life! Thank you for being so humble and kind to share your knowledge and expertise.
Absolutely stunning and amazing from the planning stage, through the layering, and packaging up, and final assembly. What a wonderful thing to share to with the rest of the world! Thank you so much.
truly a work of art, i was watching the entire hour and a half with excitement. How much did this cake cost by the way?
Thanks Michael. Unfortunately we can't disclose the cost of the cake because we need to respect our customers privacy. Feel free to make a personal enquiry to Yeners Cakes (www.yenerscakes.com.au). Thanks

Beautiful job! A true MASTERPIECE! I have a couple of questions though. What kind of expandable foam(or are they all for insulation or are there different types, depending on the application) are you using? I would have concerns about any toxic chemicals leaching out of it and into the cake. Also, how many hours does it take to create this work of art? Thank you in advance.
deux-belles femmes-fatales as you see in the video there is no contact this foam with the cake. Cake is wrapped in few layers with cardboard and plastic.
Yeners Way - Cake Art Tutorials is the spray toxic? it looks like material may still be able to penetrate the layers of plastic/cardboard (if it is the insulating expandable foam I think it is..mainly to stop gaps in windowsills/doors found in home improvement stores?)
I've used something like that foam to fill a gap in a wall. It's pretty nasty stuff. Even if it doesn't a liquid or solid form of it doesn't touch the cake, I'd bet some gaseous form of it contacts the cake.
You are wonderful at what you do. And such a great teacher on top of it all. Thank you for following your heart. It shows.
Beautiful! extremely beautiful Sir!
8years later your work on this cake is still amazing.
Following it's making from it's drawing to the final product was a great experience as we learn much on the cake making process from suitable time to make sugar deco,to packaging and stacking, wow.
Congrats Sir for this beautiful work of arts in which you reveal to us your passion and love for cake making.👏👏🙌
Its Greek wedding ! Να ζησουν οι νεονυμφοι!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. This explains why a wedding cake cost so much it is time and talent hard work of which you all did a magnificent job of it.
I have a question, did you crum coat in Butter Cream (American or European), ganash, or in royal frosting before covering in fondant? How long dose cake hold at room temperature, days week. With the ganash being stabilizing factor when cold, how is it at room temperature will it change the shape of the cakes and create a non level cake? Thank you for answers in advance. Just a guess a 20 thousand dollar cake?
Regarding your guess...no, not that much lol. I cannot really disclose the exact price for customer privacy but it was under half your guess ;) Thanks for valuing my work so high.
I used ganache for the crumb coat and then a coat of pure chocolate, then mask it again with ganache before fondant. Read more about this here...www.yenersway.com/blog/tips-tricks/prevent-air-bubbles-bulges-fondant-icing/
The recipes used can hold for a few days (in air conditioning) BUT of course there are many other factors that can reduce shelf life so you just have to make your own responsible decisions and be careful.
Thank you so much I have learned a lot from you already and did enjoy the blog on this as well. We all can learn from each other.☺️

Yeners Way
This was such an incredible privilege! Thank you so much for sharing what is obviously years of mastering decorating and baking skills.
Have not words just amazing thank you for sharing 😊
does anybody know how much this cake cost?
Id easily over $5000 USD for it
OMG thanx
woow I want to learn how to do this then ☺☺
and the rest LOL...he surrounded the whole 2nd layer in 24K gold! Im guessing more in the 10-15K
Can you even eat that with all the cardboard and other stuff in the cake ?
Marvelous... Absolutely!
Beautiful and so much appreciation for the planning, artistry and skill required to make this cake. Amazing! I enjoyed every minute of the video.
Doesn't the actual cake get "old" by the time it's served?
+MsRedwiz- That's why he drowned it in sugar syrup, kaluha & ganaches to keep it moist :)
No it's iced and that stops the aging process
Many extravagant wedding cakes take weeks to finish, so it definitely becomes a balancing act between having the cake baked as close to the even as possible and having enough time to embellish it. Unfortunately, when a couple wants an impressive cake, sometimes they have to sacrifice the quality of the taste to a certain extent. Icing, syrups and fondant can only keep the cake moist for so long. What's even more unfortunate is many couples care much less about the flavor and texture than they do about the visual impact for their guests.
How much is a cake like this?
mariidee2 that is a rude question, and not one he can answer here due to his customers privacy. The answer is thousands, factor in the travel, packaging, intricate work... as the old saying goes, if you have to ask, you can't afford it. lol
mariidee2 That's not a rude question at all. And that all depends on: the icing, fillings, tiers, shape of the cake, design, embellishments, travel expenses and most importantly, how many people it will feed (size). The only person to answer that would be the baker of the cake himself. lol it's not shitty to ask for prices, or else no bride or groom would ever know where to start.
WOW!!!! Speechless....It's stunning
So much work. Beautiful work.
That spray foam shit is toxic! Don't ever use that with food for packaging unless the food is stored air tight. There is warnings on the cans to use face masks, and not inhale the fumes. Ewwww!
I thought the same? I wondered if the smell from it got into the cake ?
😷😷😷😷😷😷
Adele Rae pelh
There is no cake touching those boards. The smell will have completely gone by the time it gets put together.
I said the same thing.
Oh my God! Very beautiful, wonderful
Perfection, perfection, perfection! I'm in awe! I have watched so many Cake decorators, but i have never seen anything like this! You are very talented and very kind and generous in sharing your skills and secrets with us. Thank you, thyank you soo much. May God Bless you and reward you.
Absolutely beautiful cake ... you are amazing. I was totally transfixed with how you were making it.Thank you for sharing your experience.
