With notify and fitness app you can get directions on your mi band directly from Google maps :P

Just add maps to the notifier in the mi app. Then turn on your maps navigation. Turn off your screen and just start walking the directions show up as text on the watch

The audio sounds so badly on earphones
Its like quaking at each side every time which just makes it even worse
If possible try to just use the mic when you have your face on the screen then have a seperate audio when just showing the items so that the audio won't be so bad

or just choose ANY imagine you want on the web. Take a screenshot. Make sure you have a simple image editor, One that can resize it to around 230kb or less ( I used an app called Lit photo on the play store) Then convert, Pick it from the custom menu and sync in the main app. You can choose a few different positions for the watch numbers, but have ANY imagine in the world on your main screen. All done on the phone, Zero hassle
Be careful with all these 3rd party app, they may seem safe, but they want lots of permissions. The Mi band is dodgy enough, and people make simple apps like the shutter button app to get all your permissions and snoop around your phone. You are better off without it. Im sure Mi will add new features soon in the firmware update. Dont but your safety at risk just for a camera button, which doesnt even use your proper app.

How often does maps app pop notifications? I tried one of them and it vibrated too often showing me the same message twice and trice because I was standing still. What about it?
The maps app will pop notification whenever you nearly get to the conner or it repeats for each 300 400 meters.

The application was developed by a developer in Vietnam and the version he was using is for reviewer only so it easy to show notification without moving.

He's from Bangladesh. But the Mi Maps App shows Vietnam by default if you turn on for the first time.
