My grandmother was in the blitz, she had her bike stolen and it was brought back by vigilante civilians. Apparently there was groups of people who hid their identity and patrolled the streets at night stopping crime. They would dish out beatings too. I think of them as the "Blitz Avengers". Pretty cool thing to do.

Over such a short period of time, he would actually be a spree-killer, rather than a serial killer. Serial killers claim three or more victims over a period longer than a month, typically with a substantial amount of time between crimes. Still, incredibly fascinating and disturbing. I've become a true crime buff lately, particularly serial killers, and can't believe I haven't heard of the Blackout Ripper before. Great video.

Every shelter has at least one assigned leader and that is usually the help given by the city/government in this case a British officer and you cant just get inside without a key.
