Agreed!! Focusing on the healthy foods finding what's still fun but better to eat is a much better experience than counting how many pounds go away bc it'll happen anyway .

Shane’s been doing this saying he’s going to get healthy but then not for years . Can’t blame Ryland not taking it seriously.
Grocery shopping, laundry, dishes, fussy baby at nap, and starting/struggling with a health journey is all so relatable! Love it!!!
Neither of them are dealing with fussy babies. They have nannies to take over. That's why Ryland got to wake up with the dogs at 8am, obsess over the cleanliness of the shed, and then hang with Liz. He momentarily got the babies around 11am while discussing
the eclipse with Liz - and then went on a solo hike. Most parents don't have even a tenth of that much freedom, but good on him for having help ❤
Ryland, chicken should be juicy. If it bleeds, it's undercooked. Otherwise, as long as it is at 165°F it is done. There is no need to cook it until dry.
Shane, you did a fantastic job! You will absolutely rock your cooking era. I'm so proud of you!
It will also keep cooking so if you get a 162 temperature reading, just let it rest or wrap it in aluminum foil until 165. Don't have to put it back in the air fryer, pan, or oven.

As someone whose weight has fluctuated my entire life, i will say that support from your partner and loved ones, makes a WORLD of a difference! The moment they suggest a cookie or something bad, i immediately agree, and then i feel so bad about myself. And to eat it in front of him... broke my heart! I support you shane!❤

proud of you shane! i’ve been watching you since middle school and watching your transformation has been amazing! one of the hardest parts of trying to stay healthy is keeping a positive mindset and good self control. it seems you’ve already got the mindset, and i wish you luck!!
I love you both! I feel so bad, everytime Shane tries to be healthy or do something new, Ryland never seems 100% supportive hes always being negative in some way. And when someone truly wants to do a diet its not fair for you to ask them to try a cookie 🙃 Go for it Shane you got it! Do it for the babies and yourself ❤
I think Ryland is so used to Shane picking something up and not following through with it, especially with diets so he’s not taking it serious. But he supports his husband, he just needs to realize how serious he is about something in order to show that raw support.

With that being said you don’t know what they go through every day. Plus he’s came a really far way in his life so please don’t judge anyone that you don’t even know.
I honestly feel genuinely happy seeing the spark come back in shane, he's always been incredibly funny but seeing it first hand the shift in his mental battles is truly remarkable, hes glowing confidence is coming back looking snatched 🧏♀️ those 2 boys are blessed having shane & ryan, as they are also becoming parents with 2 beautiful biy twins 💞🫶

Yes! Honestly, when I watch a vlog I'm not caring about how exciting they are 🤷 but I may easily be in the minority here 😂 I'm just expecting a normal "day in the life of" and a random extra thing thrown in here and there as life changes over time.
I resonate with what Shane said about eating healthy. Love you guys documenting this. Everyone online tries to make it look like it is the easiest thing. Love that you guys are so real about it
I'm one of the vegetarians/vegans that have gained weight and lost weight a bunch of times. I've realized that meal prepping has been a life changer. There's a youtuber called "the vegan gym" that literally gives you recipes for every single meal, let's you know the calories, and has every vitamin you could need in a day. I've been feeling so much better than I've ever felt in my life. A girl who's has had gut problems her whole life and severe acid reflux and it's almost gone. I really hope Shane keeps going with healthy eating but be realistic. There are good meal plans out there and you can still have something sweet and healthy at the same time. Keep trying!

@@allisondwinell4596 he’s talked about it before. She’s not there every single day/night , she comes when they need help, when they sleep at the same time (they have different sleep schedules) , go out somewhere etc
I don’t really agree with having a nanny. I understand if you really need to go somewhere like a couple times a week but I feel like if you have babies you need to be committed to actually being the one taking care of them

A little advice, what TikTok recipes videos! I got really into cooking during covid by watching TikTok’s and now I’m the chef for my family
SHANE .. the best Chicken recipe.
Ranch Chicken.....
•2-4 chicken breast (skin off)
•1 package of DRY Ranch dressing seasoning. (3 tbs)
•1/4-1/2 cup olive oil
•juice of 1 lemon or (4tbs)
whisk all together, add to chicken (best in zip lock bag) toss in fridge to marinate.
Then grill or airfry them' bad boys
I can confirm this is delicious made it in air fryer
I just made this tonight minus the lemon juice and I make it in the crock pot.
Can you recommend a side to eat it with?

I think it’s because they went out somewhere together. They go shopping and out and about much more when in Colorado.
Just tell Shane that if he used the cart he wouldn't have to deal with people as much. So why not just use hello fresh or another company that actually sends everything you need with a recipe to your home? No need to go to the store at all.
I think they made a video a while ago where either Shane or Ryland doesn't like the taste of Hello Fresh stuff.
New carts and self serve checkouts are taking away young peoples jobs, and companies are making customers do all the work so they don’t have to. I personally wouldn’t support these at all!

I’m not the best cook in the world but it’s been a slow process over the past year of learning what seasonings i like on what or how i like things to be cooked in general it’s not going to happen over night. just keep trying don’t let yourself get discouraged cooking can actually be so relaxing & rewarding

Recipe for Kale Chips. Put some broken up kale into a bowl, drizzle with olive oil and crumbly Parmesan cheese. Mix together with your hands. Throw on a baking sheet put on broil (usually takes about 5 min) then take it out and enjoy. I’ll sometimes add a little adobo seasoning and mix that in as well. So good, it’s addicting. You can also do it in a toaster oven. It does wilt down quite a bit. Once the kale has some brown and green texture, it’s done. If it’s not crispy enough leave it in longer until you get a good texture for your preference.
would you recommend air frying them? if so for how many minutes?
@@rx_1264 I’ve never air fryed them as I don’t have an air fryer, but I’m thinking you probably can. You’d just have to mess around with the time yourself and see how long it takes. Just do a small batch and then adjust the time from there. Let me know how it works, I’ve been wanting to get an air fryer. ☺️

Soooo proud of Shane for cooking his own meals!!! Here’s some recipe inspo if you ever see this.: A great seasoning instead of just salt pepper and Lemon is *Goya Adobe* with pepper!!!! and usually the grocery store will have premade *sofrito* (but if you want to make your own you just do it in the blender and put that ish in a jar and use 2 tablespoons or freeze in an ice cube tray for easy portions.) Deliciously seasoned Mexican flavors ready for cooking on the daily. You can put that on literally any meat or veggies and it’s so good.
Also if you have a Trader Joe’s in calabasas or even a ShopRite, the have awesome premade store-brand sauces that make for easy dinner. I love getting vodka sauce (near the deli section in shoprites) or premade curry or teriyaki… so quick and easy to incorporate with some rice and veggies on the side.
Other staples in the fridge to go with your sriracha are soy sauce and sesame oil, and ginger paste which is in the veggie section usually, and omg it’s like hibachi at home whenever you want.
I recommend following a couple food UA-camrs and get inspired- but these are the weekly staples in my Mexican/italian + Dominican household. My hubby handles the Dominican food- usually that’s our less healthy oily splurges hahaha

I didn’t learn to cook until I was an adult in my mid-twenties and now I prefer home-cooked meals instead of restaurants any day of the week. My family agrees.
