Dude, FlameCheese, this is so dope!! I've been listening to this on repeat since I saw that you posted it. It sounds so crisp and clean, and you meld the OG style Game Boy soundfonts with your modern trap beats and sub-bass so incredibly well. But it's much more than just taking the original tracks and layering a beat and bass over them. It's clear that you've taken the basic sound ideas from RBY and GSC and reworked them from the ground up, creating your own arrangement of notes with various effects, such as staccato, sustain, reverb, vibrato... and then your use of constant panning and low-pass filters (like at 0:48)... just so many ways of making the song sound unique and distinguished. And it's not just the effects on notes, but a completely unique arrangement of all 4 tracks here. I love how you changed up the melodies with different flourishes, such as when you repeat a particular harmony or melody line while the accompanying parts go in a different direction. And you madman, you even integrated a key change so subtly at 3:48 - that was truly spectacular. Seriously, the different harmonies and countermelodies you added just really set apart your arrangement from the original tracks in such a unique and cool way. Clearly, your musical experience is showing here! Also, I have to mention that those transitions are butter-smooth, especially between the Cinnabar Mansion and Team Rocket Hideout sections right at 2:53 - so dang good! The accompanying change in the visualizer is a great touch, too. The one thing I would love to hear is how you'd create an arranged ending for this remix; that said, the ending here is really clean-sounding. Seriously, I can't express how much I enjoy this. I hope this remix gets a ton of attention, because it's evident that a lot of work went into making this - it certainly sounds like it. Keep up the amazing work, my man. :)
Aww thanks for your comment, always something I look forward to when I post a new remix :) I appreciate your input as someone who also does remixes. I like that you can feel that work went into making this, I'm pushing to improve and explore new styles this year.
