That’s so hard to put together. The singing is better than anything I’ve ever heard dude “fire that burns down below, roll on Northumbria” it hits hard as fuck. Awesome job
Hey Marian, long time no speak. Last time you saw me was on Kangaroo island in Australia many many years ago. Just wanted to say Absolutely loving the folk music here. Would love to hear "Leave her Johnny"
A long time ago indeed! Thanks :) I will consider that one. Are you doing good down there? I hope I can return one day when time allows it and travelling becomes easier again.
@@AntoniusVladislavius I'm doing pretty good all things considered, would be great to see you again one day. From what I hear things seem to be going pretty great back home for you and your family.
@@jordanwilson2834 Yes, everyone is healthy and life goes on quietly, so I cannot complain - it's definitely on my bucket list to visit my far-away relatives Down Under, be prepared :)
I really find it amazing that musicians can play each individual part of a song and stitch it together perfectly. Impeccable timing, it really is impressive to watch and listen to.
Got here by looking up Shores of Pangea (PLEASE get your rendition of "The Well" recorded!) after having you guys stuck in my head since Hörnerfest 2023! Happy to say this is an incredible cover of one of my most played songs this year. Performance and composition are just great and I like your style very much. One point of (absolutely subjective) critique won't leave me though - the chorus parts to my ear sound way too much like autotune or something which always irritates me. 😅 Might be just me though, keep it up! 🍀❤
I love this song. My late father worked at the Wallsend (Wallsea) yard. After supertankers they built Royal Navy ships including the Ark Royal aircraft carrier.
The Dreadnoughts putting out another version of this song made me look for any other renditions. Glad i found this
That “roll on Northumbria” in the chorus cuts like a fucking knife, well done man really good singing
Thanks!
It's amazing what you can do with a guitar, banjo, bass, accordion, and epic vocals.

just a matter of practice ;)
I would love to hear your voice on leave her Johnny. I think it would be absolutely outstanding.
Brilliant stuff Marian.

Perfect.
Really capures the grinding tone of the first, love it.

@@big_dave_7178 thanks for sharing your story :)
Wasn’t the Ark Royal a WWII ship?
This is beautiful
I'm glad this showed up in my feed. Fantastic cover
Oh god this is so good
thanks :D
großartig!!!
Bloody good singing of it mate
Thanks!
This is SO. GOOD.
Thanks!
Awesome!
Fell in love with this cover almost instantly, real good stuff!
On another note btw, what is that hat called? :D
thanks! I think it's called a cap ;)
INCREDIBLEEEEE!! Great arrangement man!! I'm trying to learn the accordion myself, would it be much trouble if we could get the transcription for it?
Nice 👍
Nice
May I ask what the chords on the accordion are? Excellent rendition but I'm really struggling with that.
I think it was a variation between A minor and G major, not quite sure anymore ;)
@@AntoniusVladislavius I'll try with that, thank you!
I m gonna do the drums.
The singer is very good. You performance is very amazing. But the song is very similar to Russian song "Крутится, вертится шар голубой"
Thanks! I think this is traditionally a very common chord progression and melody line ;)
I'm sure I'll be smote for saying it, but I might hazard to say that I like this rendition better than the original.
I'm humbled!
am I the only one who sees a resemblance to Jude Law?
I think so, but thanks :D
