This was played while we were waiting on the longest johns to come on in glasgow - The ENTIRE crowd stomped after ‘follow me lads!’ truly a surreal experience
this happened in san francisco too. the band's dressing room was under the hall, and when they came out they asked if the stomping was from joli rouge lol
@@spiv waaw, but how comes this band comes along when peoples were waiting The Longest Johns??? I mean, would the both give concerts at the same night, at the same place?
Concerts are fun for stuff like that. Last one I went to, the band played one of their more iconic songs and the singer only sang like three lines. The audience did all the rest. It's quite the experience when several thousand people are all singing in unison with each other.
@@Dave.Mustaine.Is.Genius They might have opened for Longest Johns and did a few sets before they came on
@@empdisaster10 that'd be surreal. I'd have though the longest johns would feel blessed to open for the dreadnoughts
I love how every character pulls out old fashioned rifles, swords, knives, axes, a literal ball and chain, and then you just have the guy at the front pulling out a RPG like he's about to fire that thing.

3% - angry
3% - killing bugs

The longest John's as well
Listening to them back to back, it's interesting to hear. The dreadnoughts are a little more intense and the longest Johns are a little more whimsical.

Edit years later to say: I ended up finding where Joli rouge was made, and I met the creator of the drink! He was a really cool dude, gave my friends and I some free cans to share with him and we had a whole conversation about the band, Joli Rouge, and cider punk. Great experience, 10/10. They blow the competition out of the water so hard, it ain't even funny anymore. Love this band. And great video too!
Who is this competition?
There's no competition in shanties! There may be some at the start, but that lasts until, at most, the third round of cider. Then everyone's friends.
When reading the comment, I thought the competition as in other cider companies lol
What competition?
Not really tho
The lead singer's voice is fantastic

@Lucas Inglat For real, there are some songs i really like but the lyrics are pretty hard to find ((some i never did)) and it sucks.
Raising a glass for my Canuck friends up there in the North Country. I’m down here in New England, the U.S.‘ cider country. Pretty much one of the only places you can get a wide array of fantastic, traditional ciders. The Pacific Northwest has some of their own, but it’s a recent development there. We’ve been cider drinkers up here since the days of the Old Bay Colony. Cheers!
