Hey Lachlan - these videos are super helpful. I've already watched a few and now feel super comfortable with Bubble - all thanks to you! Would you consider building a Notion clone?
Awesome to hear Cam! And yes, a Notion clone is definitely on my list. It might not seem like it, but Notion is an absolute beast of a product to build 😅 Still just trying to figure out a few core features. Is there anything you'd like to see included?
@@BuildingWithBubble I can totally see how it would be a challenge! I'm working on basically a SaaS solution and want to include note-taking as a feature, ideally with a branded and multi-functional rich text editor like Notion has for their docs.
Great Video !!! Can you build a property mangement app next ?? like baselane or doorloop ?? It will be good to cover features likes: -(In the properties owner side)Add properties, set rental terms, add tenants and send application to tenants, collect rent payments, can also request rents if tenant miss payement etc.. - (In the tenant side)Send rent payment(can be auto), request tickets for maintenance, can also ask for request rent payment , download receipt for payment etc..
really great course, thanks! Does the paid full course have the info about how to set recurring availability (e.g. Wednesdays from 10-2)? Also, bookings for varied appointment times (e.g. 15 vs. 30 min appointments)?
Glad it could help! And when it comes to creating time slots in Bubble (or any tool/traditional code in general), things are pretty complex 😅 In the full paid course, I've created a way for doctors to create recurring appointments e.g. 10am, 10:15am, etc - but it's a little difficult to make them for specific days. As a solution, what I cover in the course is a way for doctors to mark specific dates as unavailable. This means a doctor could list any Saturday or Sunday as unavailable so no one can book an appointment. Hope this helps. Always here if you have any other questions!
excellent intro to using Bubble efficiently. I noticed de-/select of the appointment times is very slow, presumeably due to DB access on each click. Is this only in the preview or are there better patterns to implement this? Maybe something with state?
@@BuildingWithBubble thanks for the quick reply. Do you have any video call/conferencing set up tutorials you would suggest that I haven't seen in your catalogue? Or a preferred video call API to use within bubble...I came across Whereby?
@@jonpuzzleheadedwave I'd personally recommend using an external service/API for this. Whereby is a good option. I'd also recommend checking out daily.co
Is it possible to do an extension video of if you wanted to build this tool, but solely for telehealth? For example, patient can have a 15 min intro call with a doctor for free, then from there they can purchase tokens or a subscription to have ongoing meetings with that doctor (or another if they choose they are not the right fit)? I'd love to learn how to connect a (skype-like) video platform on the back end for patients/doctors to meet virtually and have a paywall for continued service.
This is definitely possible with Bubble. I'd recommend checking out Bubbles integration with daily.so. It takes care of all the heavy lifting when it comes to video calls.
Good morning ! Are you thinking of doing a tutorial on creating an app like Planity? To find hair salons near us and be able to book online. With the possibility for hair salons to add their business to the site
This was one of the few types of functionalities from your No Code series that I have been waiting for! Thank you for the upload! One question: Is there a reason you have 2 courses for the same ZocDoc clone course on your buildingwithbubble site? What's the notable difference between the two?
Awesome to hear! And on my website, this video/course is an updated version from the original course I created back in 2021. The link in the description of this tutorial will take you to the most recent version ✌ Always here if you have any other questions!
Love your videos, also purchased the lifetime plan. Can you work on a scheduling app something similar to calendly or maybe even a hone service business online scheduler? You're awesome.
Hi Lachlan, sorry - not sure if I missed something. In the section on adding the different types of specialist to the repeating group and adding an image for them - how do you actually add the image (at the moment it's just text saying "parent group specialties image").
While you're building your app in the Bubble editor, it will just display the text of 'parent groups specialties image'. But when you run a preview of your app, it will display the actual image stored in the database. Hope this helps!
You are one of the best Bubble teacher on the internet. I was watching some of your old video about Stripe Connect. If you have time to answer a question that would be great. I was wondering does the connected account on Stripe Connect need to provide all the info like TIn, LLC, SSN etc? Is there any option to escape this protocol? Like if i create a platform i will do all these TIn, LLC, SSN and i will pay the tax why my customer need to pay tax again?
Thanks, it means the world to me 🙏 And good question. With Stripe connect, when a merchant connects to your app, they'll need to have registered a Stripe account themselves (which will store all of that information). If they already have a Stripe account, they can easily just connect this without having to re-input all of these details again Your customers who pay for something won't need to input any of this information though Hope this helps!
@@BuildingWithBubble Thank you for the reply. Just one last question. I don't want the merchant accounts to input all those TIN, LLC, SSN like fiverr seller doesn't have to fill out these info. My platform will do all the taxation. Is there anyway to do that with stripe connect?

How can how can we associate an option set time to the actual time. Say we still have available time slots today and would like to show the slots available from the current time until the end of the day.
Great question! I'm under the impression you wouldn't need to actually link the option set to the real-time to achieve this. What you could do is add a constraint on the repeating group that only displays the time where that are greater than the 'current date time, rounded down to hour'. This will format the hour as a single number e.g. 10, 16, 24, etc. This will then only display times where the slot number is still current than the current hour. Hope this helps point you in the right direction.
@BuildingWithBubble I actually found a way. Set an option set, one attribute is the display, one attribute is the Unix seconds and one attribute is the hour valvue (military time). This let's you add or change the seconds to a date, see the difference between now and then, set availability based off dynamic times.
Hi, I'm new to bubble and I'm having a hard time with conditions related whether the user is logged in or not. How do make my app notice the user is logged in and restrict them from activities if they aren't then prompt them to log in. Basically saying: If this user is logged in, allow them to do this and that but if they're not make them log in and once they are they can do stuff.
