    It depends. I think you can build Bubble with scaling in mind. Like for our case, we started solely with Bubble, but when we were hitting tens and thousands of users concurrently, we moved some backend components out of it (using mostly AWS services instead). It allows our non-tech CEO to make some quick UI changes on Bubble, while our tech team takes care of the connected microservices hosted elsewhere.

    As a tech savvy CTO, project engineer and others, i can ONLY recommend no code tools for MVPs or simple products that need to launch fast. Or... if you really have no tech experience and want to build, again, a SIMPLE product to test the market. It is always recommended to, once tested, hire or get a tech savvy partner who can build the application. No code should be for idea validation, pitching a product to investors or testing an mvp. Although there are more complex no code tools that, as adrian said, let you export the source code, so i support his support on these tools, as vendor lock in is probably the biggest issue with no or low code tools.
    Good video btw

    • @adrianchinghc
      @adrianchinghc  Рік тому +5

      Spot on! Same conclusion. Maybe one day all the tools will be good enough for further development but we're not there yet. Still great tools to help us build that MVP FAST!

    • @amirnathoo4600
      @amirnathoo4600 Рік тому

      Exactly! Once you have learned the no-code tool, typically you will be able to develop an MVP real fast, not worry too much about performance and have minimal security in place. That MVP should be for your super early customers who don't mind using something minimal. You could go as far as even having your early adopters (i.e paying customers).
      Once you have that, you should be in a good place to start pitching your idea, join an accelerator and then start building the actual product from code...
      The added benefit of using the no-code tool is also that you will get a head-start on the design and your data model.

      Don't agree! I've seen many times when complex products in organizations - made by "tech savvy partners" - are getting obsolete, replaced by more user-friendly apps, or dismissed by new team leaders who call the code crap... HUGE resources wasted... Absolutely no guarantee that the code made by tech partners will be relevant or scalable or better functioning than the app built on bubble... The speaker made an argument about the "greedy bubble"... Well, as a startup owner, I can say that Bubble costs NEXT TO NOTHING compared to hiring a team of developers... I'd say, use Bubble for MVP, but especially - for building long-term scalable projects!

    Bubble handles both front-end and back-end, while weweb only handles front-end. If you are a complete noob bubble is a way to go imho. Maybe I am wrong but I am going with bubble. 7 figure business? If I plan and deploy something on bubble which nets me 100k a year I will be happy as a kid. Hi, I know the video is old, but I have a question about this topic:
    Hiring a Bubble developer on freelance websites seems to be much more cost-effective than hiring a developer who codes. My question is: Could I create an MVP with a Bubble developer to save money, and then, if the MVP is well received by customers, hire a developer to migrate the MVP to code to make it more scalable?
    And would that migration affect the existing users of the MVP at that time?
    Thanks for the help.

    • @adrianchinghc
      @adrianchinghc  5 місяців тому

      You sure can. But there’s really no such thing as a “migration”. It’s really just a rebuild from scratch with code. And most likely it’ll affect existing users but if you plan the migration well with the developer, then you can reduce inconvenience for users as much as possible.

I have no experience with coding and tried a few already. Bubble is the first one that actually got me to almost finishing the skeleton of my site/app. There is a big chance that if my project succeedes I willl get some big fundings to make it even better and work out all the bugs proffesionally. I just need a program to show them how the whole care system can be different. Bubble allows me to do that. Im planning on using the funding to let proffs create an app/site on a non vender lock in platform. I just need traction to get there and i think bubble will be the platform for me to do that. I have the social connection but not the dev skills. I don understand the dangeres of this vendor lock shit.

      learn fundamentals of code and then use AI to fill in the gaps. there's no reason for no-code anymore. Ai can produce code so you don't need to know alot. also theres many services / libraries that help with it. there's also boilerplates that have most things packaged. there's no reason to do no-code. spend a couple hundred hours learning code and be happy you can achieve as much as someone who spent thousands of hours. 2 hours a day for 3 months learning code and you'll know enough to be able to build any app with help by AI. I'd recommend learning just basics of html and css (don't go crazy learning all the syntax, AI can produce most of this code) and then take a good course in javascript and then react and then next.js. react can do mobile too. then you get a boilerplate and modify it with help by AI and use various packages and libraries, for example a content management system for backend. Whatever you do, make sure to only take newest courses on these technologies. do research and make sure it's not old. The tech changes so fast that a lot of the stuff isn't relevant anymore. Like if you're learning react / next, make sure the course is with the newest version. Another problem is GPT doesn't know new versions of these technologies so its a pain and you have to copy paste docs into it. that will confuse a beginner when it gives an output with older version

    hi , very good video and info - do any of the alternatives that you suggested allow a multivendor market place where a small payments can be accepted without commission), I cant use stripe on Bubble because it charges 30 cents per transaction etc and i only want to charge that amount when users pay for a link, to a job /small task. would appreciate any advice you have. thanks , Patrick

    I really like your videos. They're super intelligent and no-nonsense. Thank you! What if someone wants to build an MVP with no code--has some tech skills--but still finds Bubble to have a steep learning curve? What would you recommend? (I will watch more of your videos--I'll bet that question is answered somewhere).
    While I'm tempted by Bubble, I wonder if there's something out there that's a little easier to use. Bubble seems like it could be overwhelming. I've noticed there are many Bubble developers. If so, then how easy is it, I wonder...
    Btw, I want something that would connect to Open AI and Chat GPT, but not just to fill it with info to spit back out. Instead, I'd want it to function as a tutor (meaning, lots of prompts and workflows) + plugins. Does that have to be Bubble?
    Thanks!

    My developer friend suggested using AWS Amplify. Any thoughts on that?

    • @stevetb7777
      @stevetb7777 Рік тому

      AWF Amplify is a backend-as-a-service like Google Firebase. It's not a frontend builder.. I was just reading about it yesterday. If you're working with a no code platform you probably aren't going to use AWS Amplify I imagine, that get extremely technical. A platform like Bubble is full-stack, meaning it handles all your database stuff too, I believe.

    I'm a little late to the party but I have to respectfully disagree. It's not just for MVP. Salesforce has built an empire on its low-code platform. Enterprises large and small run their operations on Salesforce without the ability to export code. I don't see why orgs can't do the same with bubble but on a smaller scale. There are countless orgs that need to quickly and efficiently build various specialized apps to run their business without having to invest in an entire team and infrastructure to do so. That said, some orgs, like start ups, may decide that a hosted solution is not for them and that's ok.

    I'm thinking that using boilerplates may be the best option. there are some great boilerplates out nowadays that have most everything out of the box. I mean its not no-code but apps nowadays aren't that difficult to make with all the libraries and services. and with AI nowadays, it makes it even easier. I built an app recently and I know how to code, but most of the code was produced with AI with me just supervising it. I think no-code is maybe not relevant anymore because so much of code has been abstracted away and with AI being able to produce code and help with it, i don't see the point in it anymore. We also didn't have these extensive saas boilerplates years ago either. Code is still a major pain in the ass with annoying bugs that even AI won't help with, however.
