    I remember when I bought the QK60 and I was like, "I'll probably get tired of living without the arrow keys and end up shelving it away."
    But the aesthetic of a 60% is just so good, and the polycarbonate makes it look so classy.

      100% agree. I’m honestly considering other 60% keyboards because of how much I enjoyed the layout and how easy it was to use the fn+ keys for arrows. Would love to see more frosted pc and acrylic cases too

    I missed the arrow keys at first, but I made right bottom cluster double as the arrow keys when I hold the Fn key.

    nice build! how hard was it to fit and remove the red jackets to and from the plate?

      @dill-keebs  Рік тому

      Cheers! Fitting them in was interesting, for a minute I thought I was doing it wrong but the PE sheet had no cutouts for the switch pins. As for taking them out, there were a few stubborn ones, but i found that removing the plate from the pcb first made it easier to fiddle with the switches from either side!

    Does the sound a bit thin to you? Look wise this keyboard is pretty, sounds meh though.

      To be honest I haven’t really noticed it, I will admit the sound is quite monotone however I feel like QK boards haven’t tried to hide these expectations, with their recommendations to build it with foams and such. However, I did notice with the recent QK80 they have a ‘no flex-cut’ pcb option, and I think for those who notice the thin sounds of a flex-cut pcb then this is a step in a better direction. Appreciate the comment!

      @@dill-keebs Mine sounds thin, even with all the foams. FR4 plate with Tangies. Maybe it has something to do with the switch because my QK65 sounds a lot better.
      Yes the no flex-cut is really nice, I hope they make it an option for their future keyboards!
      Thank you for the response, love your vids!

      @@breasthopper add 1 layer tape mod to cover flex cuts then remove all foams or just put the pcb foam, it will add volume and reduce the thin sound.
