Yeah, it's like a switch flipped overnight and my local beach went from aerial coho mayhem every day to less than 10 jumpers in an hour. They're definitely moving out to the rivers now. Which sucks because I usually have my beach to myself but haven't managed to find any quieter river spots yet.....
@@Graceclaw yes it’s definitely that time when it makes the hard right turn. But the fun continues when you can chase them up river. Thanks for watching and the support!
I put out a medium size deep six on the middle rod and actually caught almost as many silvers as the downriggers. Also the fish were bigger and way more aggressive.
Depends on where you are located honestly. But there are coho in every river that is open right now. So just have to get out and explore. Good luck out there! Thanks for watching and the support!
Haha well hard to be outdoors to film this portion in the pouring rain. I’m a 1 man film crew. Getting the other footage processed and having a better way to capture more while out. Thanks for watching!
I wonder why guys in Washington state just across the border from British Columbia use such different tactics then people in British Columbia and vice versa??f
That is a great question, honestly I have no idea. But I will say I have learned some awesome ways to fish and techniques from the BC anglers. And I thank them for it :).
Just going to tell u what i think differently no facts to my opinion i believe the region having more lake than us and being more north your grampas grew up throwing more spoons or had different lures or style's handed down through generations 🤔
Area 9 saltwater saw a lot of good days. Really big fish this year. Cant wait to hit the rivers.
100% was an amazing start to the year and the rivers will be killer too! Thanks for watching and the support! Fish on!
Area 8-1 and 6 might still be open and the fish may still be there but they’re not biting.
outstanding video young man!!
Thank you for watching and the support
3” spinfish w/mini has been working great lately, super fun too with light steelhead rod and no flasher
@@larrymanley7170 heck yeah!

@holymolyoutdoors…if I need to add some casting distance to my SpinFish can I add weight to that cavity?
Try those under a float upriver stead of bait !

@@HolyMolyOutdoors I'm gonna go just walk around and explore the Montesano area this week, see if I can identify any juicy or harder to access spots 😀
@@Graceclaw Go get em!! Fish on!
What twitching jigs are those with the blade on them?
@@FullSendRebuilds those are my Holy Blade Customs. I am working on a big batch to put on the website this week/weekend
Are you in the puget sound and what city? I want to try fishing for salmon.
Yes Puget sound and North of Seattle
Could you put a link to the rods you are using? Your video is extremely informative, thanks for putting this out there! Tight lines!
I absolutely can! Thank you for watching and the support!

Heck yeah! I moved the same thing with our shotgun rod having way more aggressive fish. Thank you for watching!
Do you run a charter?
At this time no I do not, but I do have a lot of good friends that do and can always recommend some. Thanks for watching
Any good river recomendations?

Id love to try bank fishing a river. I have a 7'7 uglystick spinner rod. You to 15lb is this okay to run? Does it have to be a twitching rod
@@OLC_Fishing you definitely can use that! The rod I showed was only a suggestion of preference
👍👍

Hey Rick, is that mono you're running on your hardware rod ?
Yes! 12lb berkley big game or izor line is what I like to run
Where did you get that glow tube?
I’ll put the link in the description!
too bad the rain barely bumped the Snohomish...
I got one there so far. Low tide!
@@Spencer_Plant_Projects I know, but the rain will get fish moving though
