This Dr Sebi Approved Burro Banana and Callaloo Pottage will change the way you think about Alkaline Vegan food. It's creamy, spicy, and comforting. You need unripe Burro Bananas to make it work perfectly, but lightly ripe Burro Bananas will work too. This recipe adopts a medley of organic and authentic ingredients to birth a masterpiece that leaves you wondering where your socks are... meaning it will blow your socks off. I'm sure you got that but, just in case you... you know what? forget it lol.
I'm sure I'll get comments about how this isn't the authentic Caribbean recipe, etc. Remember, Alkaline Vegans don't use ingredients outside of their recommended ingredients. Scotch bonnet peppers aren't on the list of approved ingredients. I know a lot of people will mention that, so I'm getting ahead of it lol. I hope you enjoy this recipe. Let me know if you make it, intend to make it, skip it, or will have someone else make it while you watch TV. Please don't forget to hit the like button and don't forget to subscribe to my channel if you enjoyed the video. I'll see you all next week!

Thank you so much today is my 8th day as an alkaline Vegan and I restocked my kitchen and got all the things I needed and gave the rest to the kids that couldn't see me get rid of all the other things!! They have tasted my vegan wild rice but want more proof, I think they just want to continue eating lol !!

Thank you Hari!
Manny, I love this. My family is from Jamaica and we eat Callaloo almost every couple weeks. Will definitely try it next time with the Burro Bananas and Mushroom but, I have to use the good ole Scotch Bonnet Pepper. In fact, I just made a hot pepper sauce using 40 Scotchies, yeah, it's that serious, lol. Big up yuhself Manny!
Oh, I love Jamaican food! Yes, Scotch Bonnet peppers will go well with this dish. Unfortunately they're not alkaline approved. If I can find them, I'll definitely use them in my Vegan (non alkaline) recipes. They're hard to find. Maybe I should grow my own if I find the seeds. 40 Scotch bonnet peppers??? That's corrosive lol. Big up Nicole!
This is badass!!!
Thank you! 🙏🏿
Fire!
You never fail us! Yummy!! 👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you An! I'll keep them coming 💪🏿
looks so yummy! Quick question, if you do not mind me asking, what camera is this?
Interesting, I am from a Caribbean island and we call this Spinach, the Haitians call it Zaypenah. Jamaica and St Vincent call it Callaloo. In Dominica, we refer to the young leaves of a root crop known as Dasheen as Callaloo
Hmm... I didn't know you're from a Caribbean island. That's awesome! Yes, Africans call it spinach as well. Matter of fact, that's the only spinach I knew for a really long time. I appreciate the names you provided. Thanks for expanding our collective knowledge Mary 💪🏿
@@Grubanny In America you can use the variry called turnip greens
Holy moly
I am in the Caribbean now and have a really difficult time finding quality, affordable vegan ingredients. I will look for fresh Callilou to separate the seeds. This recipe looks too good to dismiss. Thank you.
I feel your pain. Stay strong. Vacationing as a vegan is not easy at all. If you find the ingredients, you should make this for sure. I'm sure you'll really enjoy it. Thank you so much for watching!
I need this in my life
Chinese eat callaloo leaves, there are green and red version. You can buy red Callaloo leaves in most Asian Market.😊
What is it called in the Asian Market’s? I can’t find anything named “callaloo” there.

Can you please make some vegan walnut brownies🙏🏽 ❤❤
❤️❤️Yes this I’m making😍😍📚❣️✨
Awesome! I hope you enjoy it.
I absolutely love this. I live in the Caribbean so making this should be a breeze seen that we find these items fairly easily here. However, would it be possible to substitute the callalou for something else ? Watercress, maybe ?
Yes, you can substitute Callaloo for any alkaline approved greens. You can also make this without the greens if you wish. I do it a lot.
Thanks 🙏🏿
Di food sell off 🍽🔥🔥🔥
Looks delicious 🤤
Thank you!
We soak our greens; collards, mustards and turnips in salt water as well. My granny said it was to kill any bugs in there. 🥰🥰🥰
That's correct. Salt kills Nematodes, mold, etc. Thank you for your contribution Liya_Marie
Jamaica!
I will love to see the face behind these dishes.
The salt is also used to remove any worms or garden insects that have attached itself to the greens
Is this good with white rice
OMGOSH!
