This is the first time I have seen your video and am just tickled that we share the same taste in patterns!! Although I have not done any of the ones showed, you hit all my favorite designers. About your water stain- I have a story. I searched for a long time for an old prairie schooler design that was special to me because it was a phrase that my dad taught me as a child: Red sky at morning sailor's warning, red sky at night sailor's delight. And of course my dad was a sailor. When I finally found it I thought the colors were magnificent and started it right away. It was smaller than I expected but so what. One day I was stitching outside in lovely weather and my new puppy managed to get it without me knowing and carry it off into the yard. I retrieved it and found it had dirt on it. I tried to wash it off gently but really ended up smudging it. I decided to keep going. When I finished it I dabbed some water in other places which caused a little bit of bleed in the floss and further increased the aging. I left it all and people who saw it thought it was fantastic. When I look at it I see the original puppy activity but also see my Dad, and I love them both. The puppy is now 100lbs. Some day when he is old and gray I will still be able to see the cute little puppy that had to grow into his ears and feet. When he is no longer with me I will treasure it more. Love that red you chose for the house instead of cherry cobbler. It really makes the pattern pop! Instead of ditching the one you no longer want to finish, have you thought about adopting it out? I would be the first taker! I am going to look back at your other videos after I place an order for the patterns you showed that I must have!!
I just love that story... what a great memory and the piece that will alwaya remind you of your dad, and the puppy. So many have suggested "antiquing" the piece, so I might try that.
Apparently I lost my comment. I was so excited to see you and your lovely daughter!! Her sweet smile is adorable and I appreciate seeing her crafty fun too! My littles love beads and stitching and crochet so it’s great to see what interests your little ones! You have such beautiful stitches and finishes!! Thank you for sharing! I’d keep working on your water stain and just keep the memories and story. 😊
So enjoyed. I love your daughter's interaction with you. I loved seeing your patience at work.😊 She is adorable and love she is interested in crafts. Don't scrap your piece with the water spot, is family memory of your child's growing up. Life happens, use it as a treasured memory. Hang it on your bedroom wall and give it to her one day. Then stitch it again if you want to.
This is the first time I have come across your flosstube, and you are a pleasure to watch. The pieces that you have finished as well as your wips are beautiful. I look forward to seeing your next video. 😃
Erica you can mottle the background fabric of your At Home sampler. I think it's the method Country Sampler uses, dab on the dye/coffee/tea with a little sponge brush or even a Q-Tip. Your stitching is too beautiful to scrap. I was glad to see you pop up in my feed today.
I’m so glad to see you on Flosstube! I took a 3 month hiatus from stitching while we worked on a house. I’m trying to catch up the Sampler for All Seasons and Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow. I’m amazed at all your stitching. It looks great!
Thank you! I just love to stitch but I really should focus on just one or two projects! Guess I wouldn't have much to show in a video if I did that though .😂
I would try washing it in that area with cold water and dawn. Also it is a good idea like the other commenter mentioned to watch Deb from Country Stitchers how she purposely stained her fabric. Your projects all look great and you have gotten so much finished and worked on.
On your Every Opening Flower, co time stitching it on the fabric you have. The cup ring may be barely noticeable by the time you finish stitching that area and the fabric outside of the stitched area may only be barely visible once you get it framed. If there isn’t much stitching in that area, you could stitch family initials and the year you finish it or the year you were married or the years of your children’s births ❤
I have taught her how! A few videos so she showed her little project she worked on. It was so cute! But,, her love of cross stitch is hit or miss right now, lol.
All your projects are gorgeous. So sad about your every opening flower with water stain. I'm thinking if you don't want to finish it...use the finished part as the front to a fabric bag.❤❤❤
Don't scrap the stitch, I don't know if you watch Deb Eshman, Country Stitchers but look at their Floss Tubes and there is one were she antiques a sampler as she is stitching. Please try to save it. I don't think you will regret trying.
What a sweet video.... your daughter is just so cute as are your kitties. You have some delightful stitches, sorry about that waterspot😢 I was wondering if you could tell me where you got the shelf that sits on the wall behind you that you always have decorated so beautifully. Thanks and thank you for your videos! Kathy
@@kathyc2959 Thank you for watching! The shelf I purchased from Pottery Barn over 10 years ago. But, you could try doing a pinterest search for a diy on the shelf. I know I've seen a way too make that shelf from someone on pinterest.

I agree! Keep the memories and don’t stress it!! I love it!

Someone also mentioned the coffee/tea idea so I am definitely going to check it out. Thank you for watching!

NO!! Don’t start over…..make some more water spots ….it will blend in
It might be worth trying this.. thank you for the idea!

I loved this video and added several patterns based on your choices!
Thank you so much for watching! I'm always so influenced by other flosstubes...I have more patterns than I can stitch I think, lol
