Keep it burnin! 🔥🎸
Thanks Mike for being so genorous with your time and talent to show this solo from Eric .
Thank you Mike for this detailed and inspiring tutorial. 🤣After practising, it's easier for me to play along with Knocking On Heavens Door(Live at Hammersmith Odeon), cause the intro/bridge/outro solos are quite similar to Old Grey Whistle Test version. Love your Clapton's covers and tutorials.
Ooh, great post, Mike! Clapton in the 70s was awesome. The Crossroads 2: Live in the Seventies box set is amazing.
Your great analysis is really help for every player who love E.C. 👍👍
Catching up on the live stream!
Thanks again for the Clapton stuff. I enjoy all eras of his career and appreciate how different they are.
Thanks Mike, I've been looking in youtube for this lesson but no one does it. Thankfully for the work
Great tips and ideas there, helped me to be aware of not repeating too much.
Nice to see you putting up more content. Some tasty stuff here. Just getting caught up on yesterday's livestream I missed.
Beautiful playing and lesson. Thanks!
Hey MIKE Could you do some riffs from Robin Trower's Winterland Concert ? " Can't Wait Much Longer . " ✨🎸✨🎼🎼🎼🏄🏽♀️
Great job, as usual! I hope you'll work on "Sheriff" from the same show.
Great lesson! There is so much great stuff here. Brilliant solos by Clapton. Love it!
This is such beautiful guitar playing, I wish you sketch out a tab sheet like you did for ‘Eric Cream Scrapbook 1968’. This would be extremely helpful for guitarists that cannot yet copy what your playing on the fretboard. This is a special one.
Although I could slow the YT to 0.25%. But that’s frustrating. The tab sheet would set you up -then the video would help with the timing and placing the bends.
Great lesson and analogy Mike. Thanks for your time!
Great lesson as usual Mike
What's the latest? Haven't seen you in a while. Was playing Dominoes I Looked Away the other day and was thinking, Where's Mike Brookfield?
Wonderful lesson and great detailed analysis. This is pure gold - thanks so much for all your work.
Great video as ever. The Old Grey Whistle Test performance is both one of his greatest covers of this, but also slightly dispiriting in that he can be on stage full of enough heroin to kill a horse and still play something so difficult to emulate in its fluency.
Great version to do a video on Mike!!! Great work as always
Magnificent, Mike! 👍 I saw the tv broadcast back in the day and have been a massive Clapton fan ever since :) Drunk as a skunk - Eric, not me (!) his playing blew me away and set me off on a life-long appreciation of his work. This number is a great example of ‘easy does it’ … or should that be ‘E.C. does it’? Thank you so much for your superb analysis 🙂
Yes, he definitely isn't sober. Hear it in his voice, as you can on the likes of wonderful tonight. You can hear it in his playing but he still does a good job. I tend not to like too much of his 70s stuff for that reason, but this full gig isn't too bad at all.
I liked the studio with the heavy wah wah better.
Great work Mike, I’d like to see your tab for this. How do you contribute to the “tip jar”?

Thanks for Breakdown especially on how it's all about the Dynamics and Feel.
Can't find the Tab on Patreon with your added Note Length Tips.
Can you help?
This vid pre dates my setting up Patreon but I’ll put the notes up in time.. I’m trying to includes notes for all new vids..
Ok much appreciated. I'll work it out in the meantime. It's G Major Pentatonic mostly so I should really be able to.
You're making me use my Ear Mike like I should do! 🙂😎.
Not sure if you've seen this version of Tell the Truth, uploaded by George Terrys wife Kitty, who was the back up singer on the tour.
He's obviously quite drunk and clinging on while playing the solo. this makes it very interesting to watch how on the edge he is, even falling off the odd time. But i love watching it. Very intense. Kitty has some great recordings from those tours on her channel by the way, some incredible concerts,
