- My first F1 22 open lobby race went as well as one could expect... It was full of crashes, safety cars, random track limits violations and all the chaos you'd expect in this game. The main question I want to answer in this video? Is this GAME actually fun, and should I put in the effort to play more of it, especially career mode?

That’s a good idea. I’m a total noob to the F1 gaming space, so any recommendations for good leagues to join?
@@CameronDasRacing I know another youtuber I watch is in a league called LCR, and the people in there are super competitive and fast. I'm not entirely sure how to join though, but I know that the races in there are incredible.
Also, that video was extremely entertaining to watch..looking forward to potential videos on this series in the future

Not sure if this is helpful, but true game does take brake temps into account, however, the modern F1 regulations prevent the brakes from warming up the tyres
I think the guy wasn't using a lot of ers, china is just a top speed circuit. and I think you will notice than on f1 22 you want as much straightline speed as possible as ers is really really strong in this game and on some tracks its basically impossible to recover any energy in a single lap
i would be very intersted in more f1 22 videos!

Pay attention to the white lines on the outside of the track. You can go on the white lines but not over. Depends on the track, but most curbs are out of bounds. The curb you went over was inside the white lines but your car went over the curb.

Why doesn’t anyone race from the cockpit view in this game? Every vid I’ve ever seen is from the t-bar cam.
I meant to address that in the video. I did try it initially, but there is something weird about it in this game. I think the simulated physics of your head movement throws it off and I’m wayyyy slower with cockpit view. Any other game though, and I’ll be the first one to say cockpit only.

this game is great if you just want to have fun, not getting frustrated by more "realistic game"
If you miss qualifying, might as well leave the lobby. There is a 99.99% some noob takes you out before T1. And even qualifying on pole isn't a guarantee someone doesn't take you out.

you can get a thrust master tmx second hand for about 100 pounds. thats what i have and its really good. its not an f1 wheel but still does the job and is really fun to use. it works on xbox and ps4 and ps5 i think. its designed to clamp to a table so you dont need a stand.
What team and what Feeder Series of F1 are you in,Cameron?
F4,F3,or F2.

None right now he raced in F3 in 2020 and was absolutely terrible and now he races in some weird open wheel series that’s not FIA or even DTM

Ya I figured it had plenty of life in it, but I wasn’t sure what the delta is to the softs or when the fall off is. The F3 Pirelli I drove on had IRL a massive cliff, so I was afraid of that 😂

Hi, I know you also race real cars, and even tough you r probably not gonna see this, how many times to you have to press the buttons on the steerimg wheel?
And what kind of Formula car do you drive, or is it another type of race car?
I’ve raced formula 4 and formula 3. Honestly, we don’t need to touch the wheel much at all in the lower categories other than to check laptime delta and use the radio. F3 has clutch maps, but this is only used for the start. We have a brake bias adjustment wheel we use regularly but it’s not on the steering wheel itself.

You should try f1 23, it's way more realistic and more fun overall, this is possibly the worst f1 game you could have played 👍
Oh man, there's two things I'm surprised about.
1. How the heck did you keep those tires from puncturing, props to you man you did great!
2. You got probably one of the calmest lobbies I have ever seen, usually these lobbies are full of raging nine-year-old's cutting corners and ready to take out the person they cant overtake, or they cause like a 6 car pileup.
It's pretty fun to mess with these guys.
Overall, I think for a first-timer with arcade like gameplay you had a great run, with a good lobby, I enjoyed watching this video a lot!
