#MilesDavis #BitchesBrew #LiveInCopenhagen1969
Bitches brew is an album beyond time. You could play it in a thousand years and it would still be ahead.
it was like prehistoric, primordial and from WAY in future at the same time. had just "learned" that Miles had an electric period and picked up "In A Silent Way". Loved it. then i picked up "Bitches Brew". life changing. i went back the "record shop" a few days later and asked the guy who sold it to me to recommend something else like it. he could not. i still smile thinking about how f'n stupid that question was and how nice he was about it.
You couldn't have said it any better. I saw Miles live outdoors in this period on a balmy evening. My friend cried; I was totally mesmerized. Getting goosebumps thinking about that concert.
Absolutely! I too am serious musician! I am Philadelphia's Master Painter of Sound, Da God Djinn Magik

RIP Chick Corea; one of the baddest men in jazz
Hell yea he was!!!! High Master Of The Elektrik Piano!!!
Return To Forever is an all time great album. What a legend.
I love this one with Chick Corea, John McLaughlin and Wooten the bass player. Playful. ua-cam.com/video/Z-pxHsBCcl8/v-deo.html
No way, pal.
RIP Chick Corea just find out earlier today and came here. Thank you for the music!
I know another great legend, Mary wilson and chick corea
Holy smokes, 1969?! Man, the a/v FIDELITY on this upload is literally transcendent!
sound equipment peaked in the 70’s and cellulose film is to date the highest resolution format shouldnt be so surprising
@@obscure.referencething is that is not celluloid film, but an incredible digital tape recording from late 60s. very impresive
@@Abel-vj5gw really?? no wonder they thought spaceships would use tape storage in star trek. that’s incredible. how do you know?
@@obscure.referencei dont have any source for my claim, but judging by the color lines present at, for example 2:50, Its pretty clear its digital. Film would have more grain and also its not at 24fps, which is standard for film
@@Abel-vj5gw oh nice i didnt catch any of that, but ive got no eye for frames per second so that’s some excuse at least. theres also some static along the left side around 0:28. but damn, that really is some impressive tape quality. didn’t know the format even had it in it.
Is that Chick Corea at around 10 minutes? He is fully immersed in playing that keyboard. He has realised the potential of his instrument and is trying all possibilities. Legend! Witness the birth of jazz fusion right here!
This is why we have ears.
Spot on! 💜
Yes Sir!
Ciao ,hai ragione e siamo fortunati 🍀
Better words cannot be said.
Exponentially evolved consciousness with sound
The whole band Cooks but Jack's drumming is the perfect purring engine.
Lead me back to a reality undeniable ❤
It's great to see the live performance and with Chick and Wayne, just babies.
Jack
Musical ESP at its Highest.
The feel...the laying out...the listening...the responding...the Free expressions.
Wild paintings in the air!
Prior to being released on record here imagining being in that audience hearing this live in 1969?! MIND BLOWN
I've had this in my car for so long. I play guitar in rock bands, and sometimes when I share this album with my band mates I find it hard to explain - it's not the notes, it is not the instrumentation, it is the life that is in this music that makes it magical; if I could distil 1% of this performance into my music, I would fell very happy. I've got to about 0.25% so far.....wish me luck.
Its talent + artistic ability to fill space + personaility (personal experience and maturity about it). If abstract music is going to be good, it needs all three, and 2 people's should never be the same, thats just copying and boring.
53 years. The statements are still moving.....
This is the man who changed the music and it has never been the same, and it never wlll!
I'm speechless. They just delivered it in concert as well.
Unbelievable. 1:13
Wow, Chick’s solo here is absolutely bone chilling. I’ve never heard something so terrifying yet so beautiful at the same time.
Hail the greatest innovator that jazz has produced
at least the most innovative bandleader
BB was "ground breaking" , it & "In a silent way" were the fore runner to EVERY fusion album for the next 20 yrs
The world changed when Bitches Brew was released
Happy 50th Anniversary to one of the greatest albums of all time Bitches Brew
it is far beyond just music
I'd seen Rashan Roland Kirk at Hartford High School a month or so before. It was my intro to progressive jazz live and I hadn't been able to
truly grasp Trane and then I heard this album and then bought it. Still as good as it gets in any genre.
This is a pretty good quality tape from 1969. Greatly remastered.
pretty good? This is EXCELLENT
And it must have been filmed, much sharper than TV cameras of the era.
Chic Corea. Another bad brother on the Fender Rhodes. I like the way he attacked the instrument. RIP. Chick. Much love to you.
They all hit their spotlight out of the park, but Corea's solo is just wow. Jeez dang
The Bitches Brew era gave birth to modern fusion Jazz ❤️
My oldest brother had this album in the 1970s. Now, I have the CD.
Miles was a genius
Used to love driving at night with this on the car stereo.
Sounds like the perfect portal to... The Twilight Zone.
I'd pay the time travel fees LOl
I still do 👍🏾👍🏾
Tivoli Koncertsal, Copenhagen, Denmark, November 4, 1969
The _Bitches Brew_ album was released on March 31, 1970.
The Masterpiece
Speechless. 😊
I still like that extra echo. My parents would play this song to wake me up worrying I would be late for school.
cool parents
RIP Chick Corea. 10:24-11:02. ✨
One of my favorite albums of all time. Would of been an epic show to see them play live. Miles is a legend!
Saw them a few times off and on from the early 70's to the early 90's. BB was my favorite live performances.
In Heaven
@tonymiller6847 >> That's amazing. Must have been incredible shows!
Damn!!!!! That's all I have to say. RIP Miles Davis. 😑
yes indeed. Miles rest in peace. i just thank god that he never rested on his laurels
Coolest man on the planet.
GREAT! PERFECT! When I dropped the needle on Bitches Brew's record, I was shocked by the sound of Miles' trumpet spreading like ripples. When I listen to it again, I think that sound is based on the sound of the bell of Horyuji Temple.
This is celestial music........
My Late Uncle, R.I.P had this album
Dragony: Whenever I cout my blessigs.....I count Miles twice. He makes a happy difference to my days.He is hard to find, tough to leave,Unforgettable.
Geniuses, all of them
Jack Dejohnette's drum fills are killer!
He guides the ship a good portion of this segment.
He's my number one man on the drums. Many good players came before him as well as after. In my opinion noone surpasses the genius of Mr. DeJohnette.
Hell to the yea!
Oh that's so good. I needed this.
Majestic.
long live miles davis !!
I LOVE Miles Davis! :-)
Love Jack DeJohnette just casually launching into outer space at 4:15ish.
I loved the man and his music so much so that my grandson is even named after him. Long live Miles! Long live the man and his horn!🎼🎼🎼🎺🎺🎺🎺
My nephew is named after Miles also!
Mis mejores viajes lisérgicos han sido con esto 🔥 Miles Forever ✨🎺

Outworldly interaction..Miles of course..and the rythmic unit¡¡¡
Aw Yes the Chief & Chick hearing them together again...what a Joy...
Simply amazing footage, this is a keeper.
Thanks!
I'll.never forget where I was and the people I was with the first time I heard this about when this album came out.

Эта музыка будет играть во Вселенной вечно!
Miles the Master has done it again
with this Masterpiece,the question is
can you dig it.
I appreciate uniqueness in music above all. So Bitches Brew is the best Miles Davis and overall best jazz album for me, as there is nothing else like it. Not in jazz nor in any other genre
That's dumb
@@PMurray2694 what do you think I should appreciate in music?
@@PMurray2694 I'm not mad, I just want to know?

👏👏👏👏LOVE IT HUGE FAN!👍👍🚛🛣

I saw this same lineup (not certain, though) at Winterland at this time, winter 69 or maybe early 1970...I had gone to see Leon Russell and I walked out a different guy, lol...
This my favorite miles band line up... Last acoustic band. Only electric chick playing fender Rhodes . Last of Wayne shorter with miles... Year later weather report.. weather report first album could pass for Miles band w/o miles.. Then chick ,, RTF .. .
やはりマイルスの世界ですね。引き込まれます。🆒
Nadie ha sido capaz de inventar y reinventar como el

Exponentially evolved consciousness with sound. Here. Hear.
👌👍
Thank you for doing that
I just heard this for the first time. I must have listened to the recording of Bitches Brew several hundred times since it came out. It is one of my favorite albums. This particular performance resembles the album, but is not on it.
The contrast between the band and the spectators is definitively the most striking aspect...
CHICK F'N CORREA!!! 😲 😱 🎉❤❤❤
