These dreamboats knew how to deliver love songs. I always melt at Bobby's vocals. So happy to find these treasured videos online. RIP Bobby Hatfield you are missed.
Beautiful! I would hear Bill sing and think, oh he's my favorite. Then Bobby would sing and melt my heart and I'd think he was the favorite. Truth is, they were both great and put out some of the best music ever!
I absolutely love Bobby! His voice is the only one that has ever been able to make my stomach just clench up like a fist and made me hold my breath. It is heaven sent and no one before or after our sweet Bobby will ever sound so beautiful and soulful to me. Beautiful, unique, soulful and will never be replaced!!
Bobby has such a candid look match his sweet voice Feel allways tenderness when looking and listening ❤…. Now that I’m a grandmother 😜 ….. when young I allways melted with his voice. And now that I found so many vídeos and clips of him … simply delighted 😍
This was only a very minor hit in 1974 in the UK but I remember it well . I remember it was record of the week on Radio 1 so despite barely troubling the charts it was what they called a turntable hit. For some reason the song popped into my head today so I came to youtube to listen to it. Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfields voices were magical together ......something you don`t hear these days.
When you have Bobby, you don't need any other singers, his voice is so versatile, he can tackle any genre of song, rock, ballad, croon, gospel, wail. He's got it all with no effort. And an bonus is sometimes he comes with added Bill. Will we ever hear their like again, probably not. x
Bill was and is amazing in his own right, To complete the sound they created, you need Both. One doesn't flourish without the other in some songs. Bobby couldn't do Bill's Parts and Bill couldn't do Bobby's. Together, they were unstoppable. To give you a perfect example of what I'm saying, listen to "I just want to make love to you" by Bill lead and Bobby Backup, and Summertime by Bobby. Both were the absolute best in the industry in their way of singing, Bobby as a tenor and Bill as a Baritone. The number one single and the most played single of the 20th century was "You've Lost that Lovin Feelin" with Bill destroying lead and Bobby killing his vocals. Truly soulful magic by Blue Eyed Soul.
BTW, thank you for this clip. It has such a sweet, nostalgic feel. Those clothes, the hair. But, most of all I'm lovong Bill's smouldering looks and velvet voice.
@@janetgallo5720 now a grandmother I feel tenderness when listening or seeing him. Maybe because I know now he was a LEO dedicated to his familly and lost his mother and father and younger brother with AIDS in 84 and his wife got lúpus. Professionally he sufered a lot when the duo split and his amazing songs he recorded were poorly produced and he was discarded. He lived poorly and alone for 3 years until Bill in 74 reunited until 76 , and again broke the duo until 81. Bobby had really poor and hard times 😢
Beautiful ! It still had a certain success because of my Quebec (Canada ), i knew that.It is very beautiful ! They were so made to sing together. 40 years spent together ! ( Except for a few separations ). Their voices harmonized so well ! Not always their personality , but probably more than they thought themselves !
Both awesome, but Bill... he had me at, "Lay your head down on my shoulder, i won't let the night get colder...' Then when he sings, "You're a princess with chains around you, I'm a hero who just found you..." My knees start failing, my heart goes all a-flutter, and I'm melting...
my knees wobble remembering this song was dedicated to me as an 18 year old in Australia by my American penfriend..we met up 7 years later but he was happily married by then..happy days
No one could ever do it as well or better. Sooo darn good! (as all their duets) Then look at them having fun: Bring it on home to me or Justine oe Babe. There were the pre Wall of sound and the post, so different but their voices always a joÿ to listen to. (videos: the icing on the cake - with Bobby the cherry on top.)
Epic track. First heard this when my sister brought home the record in 74 here in New Zealand. The intro, the melody took a hold of me. I would become influenced by the sound and innocence of the lyric content. Years later, I would be a huge admirer of legemdary producer Michael Omartian who arranged this track with a stellar line up of hot studio players. Here in 2021, this song still sits among my favoutites....
Everytime I listen I’m waiting for the chilling Bobby’s high notes at the end. Why didn’t he did that more often ? Wasn’t He allowed to ? He seems so restrained here, very sweet and soft. It would enhance so much their rendering !!
Bobby von hinten enen so süss.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Ich habe zwei CD''s wo er allein gesungen hat. Mein Gott....darauf kommt die ganze Bandbreite dieses Ausnahme- genies voll zur Geltung.

Was this intended as à lullaby?
@@doloresschultz8393I think I read that one of Bobby's kids said he used to sing it them
He used to sing it to his daughter, Vallyn,...a lot. 😊
@@Aurora-tp3dy can you imagine hearing that?
I've always thought Dream On is a lullaby😂
Dad singing it to his daughter. So sweet.❤

Dream on ,an rocking roll heaven, was there come back songs,in 74.the greatest duo of all time, the legendary Righteous Brothers!
I feel this song should have been a top 6 hit! I think Bobby was robbed of several hit songs!
Always thought these two soulful men made such beautiful music. The smiles and humor always made the Righteous Brothers even more special.

We fell in love with Bobby and never fell out. He was impossibly great.
Bobby’s purity of voice makes the song wonderful
I did not know The Righteous Brothers did this song before the Oak Ridge Boys. I just learned today when I was reading stuff on the Oaks.
Love the way Bobby keeps rhythm with his whole body.
What a beautiful song! Bobby makes it just wonderful! It should have been a number one song!!

So Beautiful. That's all I can say.
such a great talent gone way too soon, rest in peace mr hatfield.

Bobby died way too young at 63. Great talent gone too soon! R.I.P. Bobby!
Best version of Dream On.....sure was special and soulful!

Heartachingly beautiful. Both brothers.
I will never get any work done because I can watch and listen to this Video ALL DAY LONG :)
Should have been a hit.
This could have easily been a #1 hit in '74 if it had been promoted correctly.
Very true! This song was a victim of record company politics. The push would have made this even more memorable.
I’d put Rock and Roll Heaven as #1 in ‘74, and could easily put this as #2 or #3 tho. Definitely one of their best songs
Never heard this before! What an unexpected delight.
Dream On....Incredible and one of my favorites. They are so gifted.
Bobby had it all, which is ŵhy we fell iñ love with him,❤
So much Talent....ETERNAL LOVE and GRATITUDE 🙏🏽💚😇
Bobbys Bewegungen, seine süsse Stimme und sein süsses Gesicht......❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

He's the full package, that's for sure. Love that man.
I’m looking at Bobby and see all the Adorableness in the world

Bobby Hatfield is the best
The Rigteos Brothers - Dream on , años de no escuchar ésta canción
I Love this song! I don't know how to download it!
I used to have mp Rocket,b ut even there I could't find it.
the oak ridge boys do a great version of this song too.
The huge diference is Bobby’s voice ❤
@@teresadavilasoares6136 It's too bad he couldn't get his demons under control.
Waar kan ik dit prachtigen nummer krijgen?
Zoek alles af. Maar geen resultaat!
It's on the Righteous Brothers Gold cd I think.
Cut it before it was over. Missed the best part at the end after the drums come in. 🤷🏻♂️
What year was this?
1974!
The greatest baritone (Bill) and the greatest falsetto (bobby) ever on stage
Bobby was not, and never did, singing falsetto. He was a counter tenor and all those high notes were in his natural range.
I knew the Oak Ridge Boys recorded this but not the Righteous Brothers.
Righteous Brothers wrote it I believe
@@gothard5 it was written by Dennis Lambert & Brian Potter
The huge difference is Bobby ‘ voice
Real music , not this stuff today with all the fakeness .
