    Thank you, I love JKS however my Jeep pulls right and is dangerous to drive. I replaced all the steering linkages with Moog, Installed an adjustable JKS track bar, I ordered Moog upper control arm to axle housing differential bushings and I have 4 adjustable control arms on the way, core 4x4 just something cheap to fix the alignment and I got the GCA bracket from rancho. This way they can adjust caster and bring my control arms a little more parallel with the road.

      When you get all the parts installed. I would probably take it somewhere to get an alignment. At least you will get a report of all the measurements to see if anything is out of spec. Thanks for watching!

    Was just checking to see, but that looked like a lot of spline on driveshaft coming out of the diff. Love the jks arms

      The JKS arms have plenty of adjustment. I did lengthen the arms front and rear to get a little bit of wheelbase back that you lose when you lift a Jeep. But, I was still well within the maximum recommended length that JKS recommends. Thanks so much for watching!

    I really like the lift and suspension products that JKS Manufacturing offers. What is your favorite brand lift kit? Is you suspension made up of a mix of manufacturers?

    Thanks for the video. Looking to install adjustable arms as well. The question I have is: How do I align the bolt holes to the new length? Do I need to turn the axle somehow to match them up?

    • @JKsouthwest
      @JKsouthwest  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks for watching! If you are installing longer arms, you will need to move the axle some to get the mounting bolt to align. I supported the axle with a pair of floor jacks and was able to move it enough to get the mounting bolts in.

    Why did you not give the torque specs for the bolts on the control arms?

      Sorry bout that. This wasn't meant to be a full, step by step install. Thanks so much for watching!

    Is there any pressure on the control arms just jacking up the axle? Do you have to lift the body at all to get them off?

    • @JKsouthwest
      @JKsouthwest  5 місяців тому

      No pressure on the control arms. You can remove them with the wheels on the ground or raised. Thanks for watching!

    I got a 3.5 lift on mine but still debating if I go fixed or adjustable, going jks definitely question here is why replace the fixed was your wheel base really off couse I'm wondering if the fixed it's not going to be enough

    • @JKsouthwest
      @JKsouthwest  Рік тому

      The fixed arms are 3/8” longer than stock, and they do address some of the caster issues, but they really don’t change the wheelbase, they just rotate the pinion, since the upoer arms are still stock. The adjustable upper/lower arms did a couple things for me. Since i am running 37” tires, i needed to extend the wheelbase of the rear axle for tire clearance. It also lets me dial in exactly the best pinion angle for driveshaft operation. Thanks for watching!

    I run a frankenlift. 3.5" jks coils with rancho adjustable control arms rear and rancho geometry drop brackets front. In the spring I will finally put on front adjustables as my caster is a touch long. 6.2 degrees. Wondering why you didn't have adjustable arms to begin with??

    • @jasondevereaux3369

      Fox ifp series shocks. In my opinion....the very least you should use for winches bumpers and tire carriers etc

    • @JKsouthwest
      @JKsouthwest  4 роки тому

      JL's Jk I was running fixed length control arms that were set for my 3.5” lift. They were a cheaper route to go initially. So I finally put on the fully adjustable arms to dial in everything how i want.
      I have been very happy with the Bilstein 5100s, I really like the ride they give on road and off. But, i am looking to upgrade to something with an external resevoir. There are plenty of washboard roads out here and they can take their toll on shocks in a hurry.
      Thanks so much for watching!

      @@JKsouthwest I would like reservoir shocks but cant justify for the little wheeling I get to do.

    Did you use a cam bolt for the axle side bolt on the lower control arm?

    • @JKsouthwest
      @JKsouthwest  4 роки тому +1

      No need for cam bolts with adjustable arms. The adjustable arms are used to set the caster. Thanks so much for watching!

    What did you set your caster to?

    • @JKsouthwest
      @JKsouthwest  7 місяців тому

      Stock setting is 4 degrees, I set my arms for about 5 degrees of caster.
