Thank you for watching. It is great that since then the manufacture has created a solution around the problem. It’s a shame it wasn’t there from the beginning. Looks like a great product. Here is the link! breeo.co/products/breeo-base
Seems like this guy has more money than common sense. Fire is inherently damaging. It never occurred to him to protect his patio from this extreme heat? Also, saying a $60,000 patio exploded is sensationalism. Only one stone was damaged, hardly $60K. I make smokeless fire pits too and always include literature that warns of heat damage. Although, my "Amicus Fire Pits" probably wouldn't suit someone who spends $60K on a patio wouldn't consider a more affordable option like Amicus. The 30" X Series shown here is $1,399.
@@thebackyardexpert $175 additional for a base jacks up the total price even more. Does the Tiki brand smokeless firepit require an additional base in order to use it safely on a patio or deck?
Even doing a modicum of research, both on the manufacturer’s website and on UA-cam, an interested user would discover all the precautions for installing/using a firepit. This customer didn’t bother with any research… and paid handsomely for his negligence.
Thanks for watching. At the time of the incident little to no information existed on these sites (a one line warning buried deep in the FAQ section) and no option existed through the manufacture to solve the issue. Since then, and suppose after more than several instances the manufacture and other like them have released products and increased their awareness on this issue. That is the nature of progression. Here is what the manufacture has come up with and it's a very nice product. breeo.co/products/breeo-base
@@thebackyardexpert Breeo has literally had this information available for over a year. it's okay for the client to admit that they were irresponsible with extreme heat. Just learn and move on.
@@andrewstrother3906 thanks for the response. We believe this event and likely others are what drove the action by the manufacturer. The original incident happened before they had a solution in place. It is really great that there is one now.
Did you read the FAQ on Breeos page

That's crazy. I've never heard of this happening. Glad nobody was hurt.
Agreed, thanks for watching!
Bought a Breeo a couple years ago and it was in the instructions.
This is why instruction booklets are 90 percent warnings. Yet some people still don’t read them.

Very helpful.
I wonder if Breeo addressed this at all.
They did. They have a really great product they came up with. Here is the link: breeo.co/products/breeo-base

How much you charge em, going out there twice, cutting and prepping the piece
The value of great customer service is priceless. Thanks for watching.
