@@ekeneokeke8244 Nwanne relax, the insults are unnecessary. Besides, there are many successful people among the Igbo speaking people of the SS as well, so despite your personal experience with your friend, we cannot jump to the conclusion that they are intimidated or envious of the SE Igbo. It's unfortunate that these Igbo people find themselves immersed in this identity crises. However, there are many factors that brought about this situation. Fundamentally, the Igbo are very autonomous. Every sub-Igbo group wants to show why they are distinct, one clan doesn't meddle with the affairs of another, we're fiercely independent and our dialects can be just as distinct and unique, even within the same Igbo language umbrella. All these factors create a suitable condition for what has happened with most of these Igbo groups in the SS. In fact, what happened to these Igbo groups could have happened to some of the Igbo groups in the SE. For instance, I'm Ngwa myself, and having spoken to some of the older folks, I can tell that coming out of the bitter experience of the civil war, if the Ngwa found themselves in a situation like some of these groups, by now it is not out of the realm of possibilities that the Ngwa could have morphed into a distinct group outside of the Igbo fold. The Ngwa were disenchanted by the antics of other Igbo towards them, they are a very large clan and speak a dialect of Igbo that is distinct enough that if they were carved into a state with non-Igbo, by now you may be hearing of Ngwa ethnic group. That brings me to the biggest factor in the issue...the civil war. The Igbo were a people marked for subjugation in the aftermath of the civil war, and those of us in the SE surrounded by fellow Igbo may not appreciate the level of animosity that confronted the Igbo in the SS that shared states with non-Igbo. The non-Igbo in these states made sure the federal government and powers that be never forgot that the Igbo were the enemy and deserved nothing good. To get a fair shake, these Igbo people began to distance themselves from the Igbo identity. They started to diminish the things that bound them to other Igbo and highlight the differences, no matter how minute they may be. This was a welcomed development to the federal government, as they hoped to balkanize Igbo land. So, they encouraged and rewarded this attitude, telling them that they are 'rivers' people who the Igbo want to dominate and steal their oil wealth. Oil that Fulani has long shared among themselves...but that's a different story. Today, we have a bunch of confused Igbo speaking and Igbo cultured people in the SS who proclaim to not be Igbo. Some say they came from Bini, and indeed there were waves of migration from the Bini area eastwards to various locations in the SS and SE, but these were proto-Igbo people and not Bini people that embarked on this migration, as the names of their forbearers attest to. Old time SS Igbo men of repute before the civil war were proud Igbo men that contributed greatly to Ohaneze Ndi Igbo...the likes of Chief Okogbule Nwanodi of Ikwerre, Francis Ellah of Ogba etc. Today, these ones believe they know their history more than their fathers that were proudly Igbo. We don't need to coerce them to identify as Igbo lest they feel there's something we want from them beyond the unity of kinship. I suspect that deep inside they know exactly who they are and when they need the Igbo they come, rather shamelessly, reminding us that they are our brothers. When they were lobbying for the present Rivers state in the 90's, separate from Bayelsa, to get away from the Ijaw preponderance, they came to solicit the support of Nnamdi Azikiwe to help lobby the Abacha government. They came as our Igbo brothers in Rivers state seeking the support of other Igbo. Zik did not hesitate to help, he set up a committee led by Ebitu Ukiwe to spearhead the Igbo support for the creation of the present Rivers state. On the other hand, when Peter Odili, the professed non-Igbo man from Ogba in Rivers state was being positioned to be president after his governorship tenure, Edwin Clark and the entire Ijaws arose in protest that an Igbo man was trying to take the turn of the SS to produce the president. These are the same people they run around with while proclaiming 'we are rivers people, we are not Igbo people'. My conclusion is that the SE Igbo know that these people are Igbo, the non-Igbo people around them also know that they are Igbo, even they themselves, deep inside know that they are Igbo, but they are in denial.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂this man is the must confuse man in the whole world 😂😂😂😂😂chineke merem ebere 😂😂😂
This ppl are the main Igbo's but due to the fear of being killed there fathers tried to deny Igbo...oyibo is only a dialect
Oyibo is lost letter of N to due to lost tribe. Oyibo is literally means Onyigbo
@@alexchike1661 D original name is OBI-IGBO. My father growing up in Port Harcourt knew d place as OBI-IGBO. It was after Biafran war it changed 2 OYIGBO. UMUIGBO became RUMUIGBO. UMUOKORO is now RUMUOKORO, etc
@@ayebatarijuliapaxagiri2767 sis they are cowards and a good example when they say Igbo’s can….

We have dialects among the Yorubas. In Ondo state, most of the villages have different dialect completely different from Yoruba language. Yet, when you speak in Yoruba, they are fine with with it and can speak it without any problems. Unlike the Ikwere and the rest, they remains proud Yoruba.
They should have put Ikwerre in Imo State. It is the separation of states that is confusing them. A lot of Itsekiris won’t say they are proudly Yoruba because they’ve been put in Delta State. Most Itsekiri speak a distinct Yoruba dialect .
Don't mind these people. As an Ndoki person, this is embarrassing
Don't mind these people. As an Ndoki person, this is embarrassing
I love what you are doing brother keep it up
The man don't know how to defend the denial at the end. He is just funny and silly
The man is even laughing himself because he knows that he is lying 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
LOL, I swear. Just like Wike in the interview with Dele Momodu, where he said he is not Igbo. Dele Momodu kept telling him he is Igbo to him, LOL!
I was born in Onitsha and brought up in onitsha and frankly speaking I speak the same Igbo language with this confused igbo people that call them self Ndoki
Ndoki is Ijaw not igbo (although related to Igbo).
Not all of them are confused. The girl is very sure of whom she is.
@@AC-yg9zf ya mad with all due respect 😂
I can't stop laughing, my brother u re doing a great job carry de goooo.
The fear of Ijaw is the beginning of wisdom. Ijaws made these igbos to start denying who they’re.
Kpomkwem inwere anya
You're talking rubbish. Who do you think is controlling that rivers State? The Igbos are ones. Don't worry, very soon the Igbos will send you back to where you came from. We accommodated you and you betrayed us with the Fulanis, wastes of space!!
They're not kin!
Even in my dialect UGA Anambra state we call oche chair agada that was what my grandma call it agada
A traveler is wiser than an old man.
Dem ask am about ndoki n Igbo connection, oga start to explain with soup🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Chai, onye eriri eri.
@Nnaa Mehn TV, please, permission to post your video with credit on a large Igbo history group on Facebook. I will also send the link to your video and ask them to subscribe.
Some times i use be mad at this people interview, but i realized it wasn't they faults. I believe this program will do alot
ABIRIBA in Abia State,we dance also EKPE
Even I that is Agbor, understood all he said, am ashamed of this man. What must have happened for this people to deny being Igbo, apart from the consequences of the civil war.
Even Agbo is Igbo
You said it all there, the fear of the consequences of the civil. The Fulani Abokis gave them an eternal warning, "any day you say you are Igbo, I will seize your oil for good."
The spoil of War. Sitting on another brother's property. You cannot be igbo and still be enjoying the "abandoned properties " simple thievery.
Na the isam from buguma wey Dem chop come confuse.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Even some people fom agbor also deny being Igbo too🤣🤣🤣 mad PEOPLE EVERYWHERE
This man don make my day, I don laugh tire, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Almost the same dialect with Igbanke, I understand and hear everything he said, the chair he called agada is called Agara in Igbanke dialect. Nnah Mehh keep it up. Keep discovery the Bia people. Alua (Welcome)
Brother are you from Igbanke (Igboakiri) ?
@@maziugochukwu6167 YES
@@mondayake1286 Igbanke was originally called Egban eken. Thank you.
@@TheUhroboGuy Igbanke people in Benin are called Owi Igbo. Why? Because of language and culture.
We took my mother to Medical Centre Asaba, she asked me why are Igbanke under Edo State? I was shocked with that question. I asked her, why the question, she said she understand 98% of what they are speaking at Asaba but she was at Benin, she could not grab anything.
Saying Igbanke is from Benin is like saying Benin people are from Yoruba and Esan (Ishan).
@@mondayake1286 "Igbanke" was formerly called "Egban Eken" that was my comment to you. The rest of your comment can only be resolved in reality NOT merely on social media. Thanks.
this is another nwaikeoooooooo, GOD have mercy for children
This man hasn"t travelled outside of Ndoki at all - may be apart from going to marry his wife! He"s speaking central Igbo - even in Mbaitoli, there are many dialects.
Haha Nnaa Mein,. Before I think say I dey craze, but now eye see say this our Ndoki brother craze me
The first lady that spoke indeed knows exactly who she is unlike the first man who is big for nothing. I call him mumu man, otondo that's what he is. Ewu 🐐
We are one people..Nigeria govt of divide and rule tries dividing us. We may have little differences in dialects which is common in every tribe bit we still have the genera or central Igbo language that we all understand and communicate with. We are all biafrans.nsamemname, same food, same dressing, same culture, s as me behaviour..
We want more stuff like this
Identity crisis na big problem
So you want to tell me that Ndoki in Rivers is not Igbo ? But Ndoki in Abia which is 8 kilometers away is Igbo ?
I love what you are doing bro
Thank God I find your channel today I have already subscribed to your channel keep it up bro we are doing well 👍
I am from Orlu in imo state and Ndoki he is speaking sounds like mine.
Ebonyi has similar language with this people.
I have never seen an adult confused like this before.
They even have one of the oldest cultural dance in our place. Ekpe
The man on white singlet is so funny, I’ve been trying to find the difference and I can’t even spot it😂
God bless you Nnaa Mehn my lovely brother for the good work you are doing, am so glad
Mumu man , oga na dialects bi dat. This is Igbo language pure.
I’m realise that ppl who don’t leave their villages think that they are the only ones with that language.
This man Mumu pass Mumu
These people saying they are not Igbo are misinterpreting dialect with language. Ndoki is a dialect in Igbo language. Nnaa Mhen Tv thank you so much for this education. This na really PHOTO. i wonder say this old man does not know that there is no difference between what he is speaking with the general Igbo.
You are doing well. I just subscribed.
😅😅😅😅😅70 years Old man
.....and it has nothing to do with Igbo right, this question got me. Hahahah. Bro u are doing a great job
This man is really funny 🤣
this man is really funny 🤣 and confused at the same time
Shocking for his age, You see the same with Wike. Something is wrong with these people mentally. I can understand a young man acting like this but not an older person who now has ability to reason. What they don't know is other tribes see them as Igbo, just using them to get the oil.
God bless you Brother and give you long Life and protect you,we proud of you, let me tell you Bro we Igbos some of us are not proud that they are Igbos like hausa and Yoruba they can never deny their identity and their language but we igbo ? Bro i will make sure that Oha na EZE ndi Igbo recognize you and do you good something, God bless you more all round Amen.
This one tire me
Is he confused?
What about ngwa and afikpo dialects.
All na Igbo.
The funny thing here is that this man looks just like the former governor of Abia state, Okezie Ikpeazu.
Agada is also used occasionally in Mbieri, Owerri, Imo State.
The market day question is the bomb !
Chai many Igbo community have lost their identity, I weep for them! It's really sad.
These people are Igbos , every Igbo people have their own dialect, that is only different, which applies to all of us
Is very clear where they come from, mainland Igbos should embrace them as our brothers, because we discriminate a lot too. These shows that all easterners may be the same people. Irrespective of slight differences in the way we speak
Ahiama ndoki obigbo is typical igbo people but the system of Nigeria has been separated us
Senior man tie wrapper for eye. Mugu ! Papa mugu!!
According to their dialect, I think they from abia state. Umuahia has that ekpe tradition, but it's very unfortunate that some people are not really educated of their history or their background, while some have self hate and low self-esteem. It's a pity.
This people are actually Aro people. Arochukwu to be precise
this man is real owere man
The man spoke 100% Igbo but he said it's a different language 😂
🤣🤣🤣 Ndị́ à bụ̀ ndị́ Aba. The man is so funny. 🤣🤣🤣 As the interview come de go on, the man come de become Igbo small small. 🤣🤣🤣

It will take two or more generations to deconstruct the lies built in the head of this our siblings... I sense fear of guilty conscience from a dark history that has to do with slavery
Funny people 😂😂
This is typical Igbo. I am from Omo state and this is my language. How come I am Igbo and our daddy is not. Please God help us
He call am senior man 😂😂😂
Ekpe dance is a traditional festive held in most Ngwa land of Abia State
The Man spoke pure Umuahia dialect
