Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. China wanted to be the one to provide the staircase, and they provided the staircases for the other dignitaries. However, the US wanted to provide their own staircase, and that's what they thought was supposed to happen. Is this a deliberate snub by the Chinese, a show of arrogance on both sides, or just a communications breakdown? At the end of the day, it's just a fucking staircase and it doesn't matter.

I disagree. While Duterte's an asshole, you can't deny his balls are made of brass. He is allegedly responsible for mass killing of corrupt media employees and has ties to a vigilante group that is on a war with drug dealing rings all over the country.
Trump, on the other hand - he talks a big game, but if he does achieve Presidency, he'll be neutered on the spot and all that would be left of him is a string of controversies and a bunch of unhealthy international policies that may cause America to lose even more support.

Duterte just said he will literally eat any Islamic terrorist that is captured in front of an audience so long as he has vinegar and salt.
I think it's safe to say he's a man who doesn't do "mild" insults.
First of all, the phrase "Putang Ina" ("sone of a whore") was taken out of context. President Duterte used it as an expression of exasperation and he didn't use it against the person (Obama).
The story was, Obama made a comment on the raging issues of the Drug Campaign of our beloved President Duterte. Obama even gave a suggestion on how President Duterte should run our country - the Philippines; that's where the insult came from. It was not directed to Obama but was pointing to the fact that Obama is insulting President Duterte by telling him how he should do the Drug Campaign. Although, President Duterte acknowledges suggestions but he mentioned that he doesn't answer to Obama or anyone else, but only to the Filipinos.
It was an expression of an insult because he felt insulted by Obama. Would Obama dare to comment on how Putin is running his country? So who then insulted who? Obama should just mind his own problems instead of golfing every now and then.

The focus was spread out more then normal, instead of 5 min of mocking Trump and making him part of every joke. Bringing up some of the criticisms of Obama and Hillary was different too as to not give you a segment that was all about making one people look bad.
At least until it got to the skit about Trumps kids. We could just as easily find a photo of anyone famous and build a scenario around it and say whatever we want, they chose to imply that trumps children are sheltered homeless murdering miserable emotionally dead inside people. What is stupid about this is they had a serious expression and a message about unifying the party's of the people vs a establishment and largely owned and placed government representatives and directors of federal programs who all work for special interests and not the common people. Pretty sure this shows network along with many others is also owned by those very same special interest and associated partners. The Bilderberg Group at least and those who are invited to the closed door sessions of the trade agreement discussions where even the news and leaders if other countries do not get access to know what it contains. These multinational corporate elite like to have these things passed without allowing the pubic to first review them, and even more so when they are distracted so they never even notice something became law unless it directly effects them. Wouldn't want people to protest and oppose the thing before they make the billions it's designed to suck away the capital from everyone but the corporations who made them.
No I'm pretty sure this shows that they aren't afraid to make fun of Trump and refuse to put up with his bigotry, racism and general incompetence. And for the record, they don't have to work much to make Trump the butt of the joke, because that's all he is. A fraud who is fostering hate and contradicting himself at every turn deserves to be mocked mercilessly for every little mistake and scolded like a child for his actions.

He had claimed countless times that illegal immigrants and immigrants in general are more likely to commit crime when in fact the opposite is true (statistically speaking American born citizens are more likely to commit crime than immigrants). This was just a couple of the statements mentioned on the first link I clicked. If you want more, there's plenty more not only in regards to this campaign but as a visible patter throughout his career. His rhetoric is disgusting and his assumptions range from inaccurate to completely ludicrous. Stop defending this lunatic and do some bloody research, because I can assure you that just 1 Google search for "Donald Trump racist comments" will pull up hundreds of examples cited by dozens credible sources in just the first page or two. hey all this is fun and all but let me just put some context on our Pres. Duterte's "colorful" language. The root Filipino word or words Duterte uses is "Putang Ina" which by translation amounts to "son of whore/bitch" but its not used as a direct insult. Treat these words the same way Americans use "fuck" which is a place holder or adjective. Putang ina becomes an insult when you put the word "ka" which is "you" in english, ergo, Putang Ina Ka translates to "You Son Of a Whore" much like "Fuck" doesnt mean anything unless you say "Fuck You."
That's just really bad translation work. Some of it is correct, but hell.
If that happened one or twice, fine, but you can find a whole list of "place holder" language. Fucker.

I must admit I lost a little respect on Colbert when he roasted our President using biased news articles as reference.

In addition, Duterte is a smart man, and studies show that most smart people are foul-mouthed.

While most non-Filipinos think negatively of Duterte, a vast majority of Filiipino loved him because of his socialist form of governing the country. The news media who instill negative propaganda against him through the news were allied with the previous administration, who, while claiming to endorse democracy and a corrupt-free governance which they call the "straight path," were actually infamous for their selective justice, anomalies within their ranks, and poor decision making during combat, just like what happened to the 44 policemen who were killed by Muslim insurgents
