The MOP carving is pretty labor intensive - probably too much so for inlays. Perhaps as headstock adornment? The hammered silver is surely useful somewhere - truss rod covers for example. Hammered silver and ebony - that would be a cool look. I'm starting to see a pirate build - cold cast pieces of eight - hammered silver and ebony - and a cast silver skull and crossed Crimson logos instead of crossed bones on the headstock. Once you have the basic engineering of a guitar down, it's all about the art/concept/theme builds. The never-ending quest to avoid "been there - done that".
That is life size for Australian ants, actually a bit small to be honest, cheers
😰 No thank you
@@CrimsonCustomGuitars yeah I came to say the same thing. That looks about sugar ant size. Full sized Bull Ants have a body over an inch long...
18:19 Thank you, Editor.
ben's looking like a straight pirate these days.. dig it!

That was wonderful to watch.
Thank you 😊

Perfect for pick storage.
I agree
Cool project
Thank you 😊
Excellent!!!!
cool box Ben
Thanks
Are we going to see a guitar build any time soon?
😂
Some kind of hinges could be cool for the next shell box 🙂
Always learning, so yes, this could be fun to learn for next time
I reckon the client would be happy with them this size once they see this
That would be nice
Like Jewellers of old would love to see done without a power tool.
👍
I think you should team up with Ali from Awe Me the blacksmith from Baltimore Knife and Sword the guitar you two could make would be epic.
I couldn't agree more, that would be awesome!
the Great Amazon Guitar Kit Buildalong ... starting soon 🤔
🧐😳🤩
Ben, you have a lot in common with my friend Kif Wood. Luthier., jeweller, experimenter, heretic, and - dare I say it - eccentric.
😅 I'd love to meet them
@@CrimsonCustomGuitars He's in west Cornwall. Search Kif Wood Guitars.
I thought annealing was cooling slow and tempering was cooling fast
I think it depends on the metal that you're working. I seem to remember from grammar school that copper needs one process and iron needs the other.
You could make ants that are smaller and are getting larger and getting more and more 3d until they turn into a big 3D ant ...
Great idea!
Sometimes things must be hit with hammers.
😂 Sometimes with many hammers of all sizes 😅
A lot of tap tap tapping here!
😅
AI wrong! Who knew?
You should get a watchmalers microscope
