Jim McMahon,my favorite quarterback of all time! Great quarterback! Thanks Jim for all the great plays!!!!!! College and pros, every team you played on. Thanks for the great memories
Jim McMahon is the most underrated QB not just in Bears but NFL history. His season as a Viking alone should reflect that. Between 84 to 87 he had 24 straight wins. He didn't need the defense in 85, the defense needed him. Refer to 84 NFC championship game.
60 years suffering Bears fan. With one kick-ass happy season 1985. Jim McMahon was the last sports athlete I idolized in my life time. I wanted to be like him. I even went to Halloween parties as Jim. I had heard of his health difficulties and I thought he had brain damage but I'm am so happy to see he is very cognizant and intelligent and still Jim McMahon. Where is the link for the organization they are talking about. How do you donate?
I was a huge Packer fan back when the Packers won the Super Bowl with Favre, and I remember McMahon being on good side for a season! I don't remember him wearing his Bears jersey to the White House, but I can respect that given his reason.
When involved with friends in a NFL conversation and someone asks for my opinion on the greatest quarterback in history, my answer is always the same. Jim McMahon 9
I was 16 when the Bears won the Super Bowl & the Challenger exploded after liftoff. Both events are burned into my memory for totally different reasons. ‘85 was a magic season, though. That team could beat ANYONE.
It took a bears fan being in the White House for them to get their visit to the White House in large part due to the challenger explosion. I feel sad that some of the players Walter Payton in particular passed away before the visit to the White House.
My grandfather lived across the street from you in Northbrook... Didn't know Thayer was near by too... Saw you dozens of times but left you alone after the the hand wave! Green Bay was responsible for us not winning more titles... It was Karma, well earned...
Green Bay only cost the Bears more titles in the 60s and 90s-oughts. Green Bay was dominated by the Bears for most of its existence...multiple times, knocking it out of either championship contention or the championship itself. George Halas was THE coach of the early (white) era.
I read that McMahon recently had surgery on his foot to remove a bone spur. But, he ended up with the foot being infected after the procedure and nearly lost the foot. I don't think it's a permanent thing.
We all love Jim. He's a Chicago man forever. Those 80's teams were so darn fun. Won't see that again ever.

Why is McMahon in a wheel Chair ? Temporary or permanent from so many football injuries . He was a great player for the Bears .

Ultimate troll job. Love Jim!
Reagan should have invited the Bears to the White House in March or April of 1986. That was enough time after the Challenger explosion.
Jimmy Mac!
Fields has a little bit of McMahon in him.
Mj heals brain injury and helps with pain.
