- Lovely song, also written by Trevor Dunn. He reminds me of the girl on the Swiss Miss Hot chocolate box when he is in that getup.
Anyway, this is performed Live from the Astoria in London England on September 8, 2000.
Trevor Dunn is an amazing songwriter. Huge respect to that dude.
When I first saw Bungle play, before the show, I thought, “they’ll probably play stripped down versions of their songs, there is just too much going on in one song, how can they possibly play every song...” well, it certainly sounded exactly like the songs on Mr. Bungle, Disco Volante and California. It was fuckin mind blowing
Mr. Bungle...the most UNDER-RATED talent on the whole face of the Earth. RETROVERTIGO.... anthemic work par excellence!
But yet one of the most influential bands of all time
And best Patton band/project. The reason?! The band is full os Pattons lol

Out of all the bands I've seen live, Mr Bungle is the one I'm most grateful for.

Ahh, good times. As gig weekends go this was phenomenal. Ween played the night before and had apparently run up the highest bar take in the Astoria’s history and Mike was determined to beat it. It also just occurred to me I have seen Mr Bungle, Faith No More and Tomahawk at this venue and Fantomas in the smaller venue Astoria 2 downstairs. Mike must’ve liked it there! I even met him before the Fantomas gig stood by the fire escape, he was friendly and took a copy of my bands CD. Sadly the venue was turn down to build a train station....

Ween played there the night before, in another clip Mike mentions that Ween sold the most drinks at that bar ever the night before. Mike was enticing the crowd to try to beat them.

Nah...the Astoria in London UK. Great venue sadly no longer around. Everyone played there when I was a teenager, Nirvana, Primus, Megadeth, Alice Cooper, Faith No More...

That's the reason I even found this band, and holy fuck they are unreal. California is becoming one of my all-time favorites very quickly.
In nearly every interview when they talk about influences, usually their #1 go-to is Mr Bungle, I've never heard their material till now either, surprisingly odd but good.

Yep, I think that McKinnon plays the bass in Retrovertigo, I mean, he used to play it at the concerts (I'm not really sure, but there are some videos where Bär plays the bass.)
Not all the time. Check some Faith no more live, there are some performances in whom Patton sounds off.
No there isn't. Show one video in last 30 years where he's off for even a second. You can't, because there isn't 1.
