removed my EGR valve a a few years ago too. i just put a little piece a of sheet between the EGR and the intake as the studs were too long for anything shorter. no emissions testing in Alberta.
@Captain720 do you have the rest of the video for an EGR delete? And looking for a PCV valve delete/bypass if you have any advice or content on that I would much appreciate your time and help.
Hey So I own a 1980 Datsun 720 as well. I can see you know far more than I do about this make/model. I was wondering If I can send you a video of the engine running. I just bought it and its my daily driver/ project car. I just changed the oil. spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, distributor cap, and curious on what I should change next.
Hi there I dont have the tools you have..I got Nissan 720 1983 which should be exactly same egr as yours so i wonder if you can put a link to where I can buy already made one.that would be great help thanks.
I can not seem to find an ebay one right now, ebay sellers do limited runs so a product will be there and gone again. If your EGR valve is in good condition simply plugging it is as effective as a block off because they default to closed when in good condition. A machine shop/fab shop/exhaust shop may be able to make a block off plate for a small fee as it's a small component
@@Captain720 well the car is giving me hell so i deleted the whole vacuum system and that made a huge different ..I know there is a vacuum leak and im thinking EGR some how still leaking could be a gasket or the device itself and I just dont want to deal with tracing a vacuum leak its an old truck so I thought its best to cap off any thing connected to the manifold so i can narrow down the leak and fix it .any way thanks alot for replying fast.
Nope I bought mine for summit racing they don't make them anymore not that I know of it has no mufflers no cats no tailpipes straight header bored over 30 port and polished head Weber carburetor put a bigger cam and E3 performance spark plugs did 120 horsepower 110 torque on dyno on 96 octane and also performance spark plug wires and high performance high voltage ⚡ coils Edelbrock
