- In Nepal, five hours from Katmandou, thousands of people, irrespective of wich caste they belong to, goes each day on a pilgrimage, on foot or on cart. There, in the middle of the forest, they come to meditate and pray in front of a 16 year old boy. 24 hours a day, this young man sits in the hollow of a tree, in full meditation. He does not move, he does not eat, he does not drink. He remains sitted quiet, breathes very little, very gently and does not need anything. For the believers, he is the reincarnation of Buddha! Miracle or not? We followed the traces of this man that all Nepali already call Little Bouddha. -

Being called a reincarnation of Buddha is just the people belief. That boy is just following the path of Buddha to get moksha. Leave him alone with his own ways. It's his way of life. Just like what Buddha did.

This documentary took place in 2006, just so everyone knows. Since then, Bomjon has been centered around police custody for multiple charges of violence, rape of a nun, kidnapping, assault, and many others. He is also under investigation for human trafficking after four of his devotees went missing. Police have raided his ashram multiple times. So, my guess for this video, it's a mannequin.

I am a Buddhist. Lord Buddha is enlightened and he will never be reincarnated. There are different levels to become a Buddha. This is called as Rahat which is like gaining close to enlightenment but not. You get different powers.

Well, this is my first time hearing about little Buddha. And the video is very interesting, but there are still some points that kinda don't click just like what other comments have been saying.
1. A Buddha is basically someone who has reached Nirvana. Buddhas do not get reincarnated anymore. So, people saying him as the reincarnation of Buddha is wrong and true in itself, as Buddhism taught that everybody 'can' become a Buddha. So yes, maybe he will ascend Nirvana and be a Buddha, but definitely not the reincarnation of Buddha.
2. It's really great to see his passion, but at the same time I'm kinda lost on why he's doing it. I haven't seen any other comment talking about this, but in my very short life till now I've studied that on Buddha Gautama's journey to find truth. He'd done similar method, of meditating and not eating at Isipatana. Which when he collapsed, he finally realized that starving one self and dwelling too much in suffering is as bad as dwelling too much in material happiness. With him not eating for months, isn't it the same? Buddha taught us to be in the middle road, not to suffer, or to indulge in material happiness, just in between. So I don't really know how to feel about this.
