Thanks, Anders. I like your videos & take your comments to heart. I tried a few different combos before I tried these together and was happy with the taste. I just can't figure how this vid did so well with near 700 views and the review of the same Xaymaca rum is struggling to get 100.
@@itsallaboutthecocktail it's the youtube algorithm for sure. Blessed be you from UA-cam. Also, I found this video just by searching Plantation Xaymaca Drink Recipes. Bought the rum last night.
I really need to pick up those tiki bitters. They’ve been on my shopping cart for weeks. Haha. Great looking Mai Tai. Had my first one about 8 years ago in Hawaii and never looked back.
Thanks, Trevor. I saw your Real McCoy 5 @ the liquor store I was at. I want the 15 but too pricy at $43. I just bought the Real McCoy 3/white a few weeks ago and need to do a review. I have Bannacourt 4, Appleton 12, Rum-Fire, Doorly's, and The Funk on my radar now for the best price.
Thank you! I really appreciate your comment.Which tidbits did you like, (so I know it was worth repeating). Sometimes I'm not sure the editing time spent was worth it.
@@itsallaboutthecocktail I liked that you made this cocktail in such a legit way but kept it fun. Loved all the teaching tidbits like the Lewis bag, the comment on the aroma. You’re legit and fun Ray.
Hmm, never even entered my mind trying them in coffee. But there are several flavors of bittrrs I want to explore, including ginger, chili, aand the new Ango chocolate coco.
Thank you, so much. I did an earlier Mai Tai Revisited with Smith & Cross that was really good, too. But it's weird the Xaymaca review got just over 100 views, but the Xaymaca Mai Tai got 1400? Go figure
Sorry we’re two days late Ray. We took the weekend to de-tech a bit and headed to Animal Kingdom to see some animals over here. It was good but so hot that it wore us out for the day. Mai Tai drinks are some of my favorite but sometimes that rum just hits hard.
Great looking Mai Tai.. probably my second favourite drink! ...I wish I could get a good Martinique rum!
I so appreciate it, Rob!
Totally agreed! Mai Tai drinks are the epitome of a vacation!
Yes sir, you can't go wrong with a Mai Tai! Salud senor!
Thanks, I like how this came out and glad you agree.
Plantation and Clement are two solid favourites of ours, what a crackin' Mai Tai Ray!
Thank you, Calum, my Irish friend. Those rums work so well together.
@@itsallaboutthecocktail No doubt! You have great tastes Ray!
I like that rum! And great Mai Tai!
Thanks, Lele, it worked well with the Martinique rhum.
Looks great, Ray! Love the rums you went with on this one, and I'm really curious to try your Demerara orgeat! Cheers!
Thanks, Anders.

That is one of my favorite cocktails. And a great rum to make it with.
It really is!

Thanks, Vino. I hope to get to Hawaii someday.
They're amazing, I use them all the time, not just in tiki. They're great in a dark rum Daiquiri with some pineapple and star anise bitters too
@@trevorrose1 , what brand of bitters?
@@itsallaboutthecocktail the pineapple and star anise are Ms Betters Bitters
@@itsallaboutthecocktail I hope you get to go Ray, it’s beautiful!
Jeeez, i would take a sip in a heartbeat 😊! Absolutely a comfort cocktail

Yeah I have access to a ton of bitters and I try them in almost anything. Was really bored during the lock down
@@gnomestavern8285 that’s an awesome way to spend quarantine time. I wish we had had more access to bitters
@@FlourEggsYeast you really need to I would say buy Bittermens hellfire and tiki elemako
This mai tai looks delicious!

That demerara orgeat is really good. You should try it!
And holy cow man, you have over 400 views in just two days on this. Popular!
And I was all dejected because the review of the same rum wasn't going anywhere!
Thanks!
