Thank you. Your reaction is so heartfelt. And I too tear up every time Emma sings. It is not just her voice nor her story. I think she was sent to give hope. I am 71 years old and feel lucky to have discovered this amazing girl . When I heard her sing Voila last year I already was convinced that this girl has something special. Thanks again for this video. And please check on her other performances. She never dissapoints. ❤🫶

Thank you for reacting to this beautiful performance of 'You Raise Me Up' by Emma.
Since winning the Voice Kids Netherlands in 2021, Emma became well-known in the Netherlands, and has frequently been asked to perform at memorial concerts and charity events for a variety of humanitarian causes in her native country.
She has never failed to deliver powerful and heart-felt performances at these events, and has increasingly become the 'go to girl' for important national commemorations like this one.
On Dutch Liberation Day, May 5th of this year, Emma performed a duet of the Myriah Carey/ Whitney Huston song 'When You Believe' with April Darby in Amsterdam for the King and Queen of the Netherlands, and the entire nation. The venue for this concert was stunning. The performance took place in the evening on a stage built over the Amstel River in the heart of the city of Amsterdam. Many of the people in attendance were actually in boats huddled around the stage. The lighting was just spectacular, as was the performance itself. This is a must see. The video is available on UA-cam.
Thanks again for this wonderful reaction to Emma. All the best.

Hello Psi and Bella, thank you for your reaction. The song is by Westlife. She completely changed this song. I love the piece sung by Emma. Powerful. Just great.

Hello Psi & Bella, my favorite thing to hear from Emma this memorial day is “Father”. the title on UA-cam: "Father" - Emma Kok & KMKJWF - Herdenkingsconcert "Slag om de Residentie" - Amare Den Haag".
Last year she sang this Demi Lovato song. My father died in July last year and I had to be there for my mother and I couldn't cry at the funeral, but after I heard Emma's song, tears burst out here. Because of her clothes, she has several now and they always fit. Have a nice weekend.

I love your heartfelt reaction. Below many already commented so I will not add much to that, just a few things on the militairy cemetary that was shown.
It is on the Grebbeberg, a steep forest covered hill between Rhenen and Wageningen. Most of the soldiers buried there lost their lives trying to stop the Germans fast move to the important west part of our country in May 1940. Battle of the Grebbeberg lasted 3,5 days. Btw in Wageningen the Germans signed their surrender in 1945.
As to the song: It was composed by Rolf Løvland The lyrics are from Brendon Graham. It was first performed by the group Secret Garden in 2001 and in 2005 by Westlife at the NobelPrize concert.
Al this information can easily be found on Wikipedia
I always look for your reactions when Emma performs a new song.

Lovely reaction to Emma's performance. This was a remembrance to the fallen Dutch soldiers during the battle of Den Hague. "In the early morning of 10 May 1940, Germany invaded the Netherlands. The purpose of the 'Battle for The Hague' was to conquer the airports and the city and to capture both the Queen and the Cabinet. Thanks to fierce resistance, with George Maduro and others fighting against the invaders, the German attack failed."
And I fully agree with you both, every song Emma touches becomes something special❤. With the same orchestra but a slightly different setting, she also sang Father and Hero. Both in 2024. Personal, I think Father is unbelievably beautiful. However they all appear to be recordings from a cellphone, Emma's voice comes right thru and into the hearts 💕. I can recommend it.

It's all said in the reaction from mr. Roger Clutton. But listening to the lyrics of this so well known hymn: it could well be telling about Emma herself, isn't it? And when you listen to most of the songs she takes on.... they have that connection with her, one way or the other, and you can feel/taste that she really is feeling such a connection. That is so special. This video is in more ways special: it it one of only a few video's you really can see, about half way, how (very) small Emma is for a 16 years old girl, due to her disease. I absolutely can understand that there are some days she feels not easy with that. And yet: there she is again, as we say in the Netherlands, singing "de sterren uit de hemel" ("the stars from heaven").

Wow, another amazing performance by Emma. As in earlier comments this was a memorial in rememberance the start of WW II in 1940. We also have each year a memorial to remember fallen soldiers at the end of WW II in 1945. And we remember that we were liberated at the end of WW II. Emma also sang at those liberation concerts. I love in particular her performance with orchestra of "Father" from Demi Lovato. She sings it to the all the (American) Veterans (of wold War II) and giving me a whole new meaning to this powerful song of Demi Lovato. The video (with the white dress) is my favorite. It gives meaning and see in the background the 'sound man' breaking from the start. It means something to him as ii did to me.

Hi you two, Sydnie released her single “My Way” today. Here's the UA-cam version. I think it's shorter than the original, but Sydnie is still awesome.

Hello you two, I found a sad short from Emma. She lost a good friend in 2023 who was also ill.
She made this recording: When I Get There - ‪@PinkVideoVault‬ Emma Kok
This really affected me. I now understand why Emma is scared of the whole thing.

Hello you two, unfortunately I can't write to you directly, but I just saw two things by Emma that are two years old, but that she also likes nice old songs. The recordings are funny. Note Emma's violin in the background (Frank Sinatra).
    Here are the two shots:
@EmmaKokOfficial‬ singing Dancing Queen - ABBA
    ‪@EmmaKokOfficial‬ singing L.O.V.E - Frank Sinatra
