@@nimitz1739 I understand the sentiment since im assuming you're saying this because they are not metal/metal adjacent, but they are extremely heavy. The two most recent studio albums are walls of noise at times and utilize significant distortion and fuzz. If that's not "heavy" then I don't know what is.
Here after discovering ‘Wednesday’ yesterday. Totally hooked! Their new song ‘Bull Believer’ has restored my faith in Beautiful, Loud, Noisy Guitar Music 🙌🏻
Dear Wednesday, This is so amazing. How do you guys do this? I have been playing guitar since way before you were born, so I know how you do it. But how do you do this? I'm so impressed by all of you. This is really delightful stuff. World class. Every once in a while I watch and listen to this again, and every time I am so impressed and delighted. How Can You Live If You Can’t Love How Can You If You Do is a heartbreakingly beautiful performance. Thank you so much for being such a great band. Pete
About a year ago I've read about Audiotree in some indie music discovery Reddit thread, found this video and I've been hooked on Wednesday ever since. Just wanted to say thanks to all parties involved.
jusy saw them live last month, here in asheville! most amazing experience ever. i saw them with my bf who is back home for a month amd a half and they remind me of him, miss that boy but listening to them reminds me of that night with him :,)
Big time love the music, but my fave part is Xandy answering the fave interview question part, rocking back and forth in exuberence about the amazingness of breakfasts (plural). Karly flubbing the chord on the baritone and then chuckling a few seconds later is also priceless (as a fellow baritoneer).
Wednesday really is the best shoegaze band since MBV. The way they wield feedback like a sludge metal band to create dreamy indie rock tunes is incredible, and Karly's voice and lyrics are amazing. Also they're all fucking RIPPED dude.
This is hardly shoegaze it’s more like heavy indie rock. And there’s been a ton of great shoegaze bands since mbv if you look hard enough. This band is sick tho
@@yates525 shoegaze is a lot more descriptive than heavy indie rock. Both the descriptors heavy and indie could mean anything depending on who you're talking to, but shoegaze is like a specific sound with heavy/distorted dreamy wall of sound guitars with sweet melodies on top which is exactly what Wednesday is.
Wednesday kicked ass in Tucson this last Thursday. I sure wish the crowd had moved with em, but ah well. Seeing this band was exactly what I needed, and I hope you get to see them play live too ❤️
Good observation, they definitely have a similar mixture of folky/country-ish melodies and vocals and noisy guitar sounds. I miss old Wye Oak but Wednesday and MJ Lenderman are a great alternative.
Audiotree do you have any control over the ad placements, it would be so much better if they fell between songs not in the middle 💔 love the work you do the sound is always incredible
the fact that they have slide guitar in such a heavy band is GENIUS.
That’s not called slide guitar (that’s when you use a slide on a conventional guitar). This is a lap-steel guitar.
@@XXjg_ And that’s not what you call a heavy band either. Lol
@@nimitz1739they're alt/indie rock right?
@@sebastianmatarelli5602 I would agree with that

MJ Lenderman needs his own audiotree set now!!! His own records rock! He is the guitarist!

I’ve met them a few times and they r some of the sweetest musicians I’ve ever spent time with.
Wish they would put the recording/ mix/ mastering engineer(s) in the description. And also give them medals for this.
Audiotree always does such incredible job in that regard. Flawless
this version of "fate is..." is so amazing thank you audiotree for getting wednesday here
BRAVO !!!... Cette petite pointe de PAVEMENT dans les guitares, j'adore !!
Yo these songs are straight up noise gems
6:05 man what a song, and the lap steel guitar makes it even more amazing
looking ripped, guitars in tune, killer songs. siiiiiiiiiiiiick
someone tell Wednesday their record has conquered my dark little heart...
Such beautiful writing and playing and singing. I discovered them today and man does it help to hear these words and notes
This is one of the best performances i've ever seen on audiotree, its on the same level as the pinegrove set from a few years back

18:08 it sounds so cool when he tunes his guitar in the middle of the song
If Thursday ever does a reunion tour, I would love to see these guys as the opening band.

Wow two pretty different places lmao
Wednesday is the best day of the week when you can it any day of the week! F’n adore this album & band.
Bassist when that bassist had that big smile at one point just made me stoked
im in love with xandy and all the sounds he’s making.
The bassist is a really smokin hot bassist!!!
definitely getting some DBT vibes on that 3rd song. This band has a unique take on shoegazey/noise rock. I'm obsessed
laying down 9 tracks is crazy
Best band of the 2020s so far.
Just saw them open for Beach Bunny this wk and am an instant fan

This is sonically amazing
Saw this guys exactly a week ago (ok, a week minus like...10-20 minutes).
MAAAN was that a good concert.
My favourite band now! Even beating Fugazi on my number 1 list! Love from the UK!
THIS! SO MUCH MORE OF THIS!
amazing band, taking the best from swirlies, pavement and probably duster too. that baritone guitar sounds really sick
failed to mention talking heads mbv and mazzy star
Bless your brilliant creative cores for keeping good loud noise alive

There's an energy here that reminds me of early Wye Oak. That's a really good thing. These guys are great.
Considering Wye Oak is only really 2 people, the sound they put out is pretty amazing! But it's way more concise than what these guys produce.
Good observation, they definitely have a similar mixture of folky/country-ish melodies and vocals and noisy guitar sounds. I miss old Wye Oak but Wednesday and MJ Lenderman are a great alternative.

I have never cared for slide guitar till now
just found new underrated band
Anyone know what tuning Karly's baritone is in?
best best best
Very much like the Breeders with the chaotic youthful energy of the Sugarcubes!!
what model of lap steel is xandy playing?
Oh wow 👏 well done
Someone pls tell me how to get distortion like this that sounds like my guitar is screaming
get a big muff and turn the sustain all the way up
and a nice tube amp driven to break-up
they did a reddit AMA a while back and talked about pedals jake uses a death by audio interstellar overdrive and karly uses a proco rat 2
grande Wednesday
vous nous avez bien troller avec le premier morceau (with you first track)
This is special. Bravo. And that country song is so Townes Van Zandt inspired..I wonder if you are him, reincarnated.
